Singles' Day is almost here. For any masters who haven't subscribed, please do so and catch up!! It's very important.
Another month has passed. I wrote a lot of plot this month: the Indigo League Conference, and then... uh... I haven't even finished it.
I need to streamline the battle sequences more. I'll definitely try to do better next time.
The Indigo League Conference is at its climax now, right? I specifically arranged a 6v6 featuring Ash's strongest lineup to date. To be honest, I feel like Ash's strength is a bit much right now, slightly overpowered... but it's not a big problem for now.
The few original characters that have appeared should have more roles in the future, like Abin. As I write him, I've grown quite fond of this character.
And Kikuzuke—I've already thought of a role for him, which I'll save for the Johto Region. I saw a book review before that suggested he team up with Gary, which seems like a pretty fun idea.
Speaking of the Johto Region, Gold and Silver.
After Ash finishes fighting the Masked Man, they should make their official appearance (just a cameo to show their faces). I've already figured out their setup, and it's interesting. The 'old grandpa' dynamic will be different from Ash's trio; otherwise, there would really be too many people. But before that, we'll first make a transitional stop in the Orange Islands, with the focus on *The Power of One*.
Although I haven't completely thought out the plot and I haven't even started rewatching the movie, the story I have in mind right now should be very exciting. But then a problem arises.
That Orange League in there... I don't really want to write about it.
Those few Gyms are pretty boring, and they're completely original anyway.
Also, for the 6v6 against the Hero from the original work, I realized that his Pokémon have basically all appeared before: Ditto, Onix, Venusaur, Gengar, Electabuzz... Besides a Dragonite he hasn't fought, all the others have appeared and been battled before. Having another 6v6 would just be going through the motions...
If I switch to six different Pokémon, it would also be boring. I've been writing according to the Pokédex, and I've pretty much covered all the Pokémon from Kanto. Pulling out another six would feel nonsensical.
That's why I moved the 6v6 to the Indigo League for now.
I still haven't figured out how to handle this Orange League. Should I just scrap it or what? If you have any suggestions, you can leave them here.
