Chapter 817

Chapter 801: The Death of Sinestro

Author: Great Demon Spirit

Tony's aura was in disarray. His hair was disheveled, his body was covered in wounds, and he was a wretched sight.

Clearly, he had suffered a great deal in his confrontation with Nekron.

The White Lantern Ring on his hand had even dimmed for a moment, but the Life Entity immediately blessed it with new power, and it was instantly restored.

A piercing chill emanated from Tony. He held himself high and aloof; even though he was battered and blood-soaked, his vicious aura hadn't diminished in the slightest.

One of his hands gripped Sinestro's head in a death lock. A trickle of blood escaped the corner of his mouth as the white light rapidly expelled the remnants of Nekron's power from his body.

"You want to take the White Lantern Ring... Did you have my permission?!"

Tony tightened his grip bit by bit, slowly increasing the pressure. His somber voice spoke slowly.

Sinestro's eyelids twitched violently. Enduring the unbearable, excruciating pain from his skull, he said in a low voice, "I know what to do now..."

The faint sound of cracks spreading across his skull made Sinestro realize... he might actually die!

"I always thought there was a tacit understanding between us, but you destroyed it with your own hands," Tony said in a low voice.

Sinestro's expression changed. A horrifying sensation welled up from the bottom of his heart. His eyes, riddled with blood vessels, widened as he opened his mouth to try and explain himself.

"A pity. I never should have taken off my Yellow Lantern Ring... Is this my fate... Sinestro's fate..."

Sinestro thought with regret. This was the last clear thought in his mind.

*Squelch!*

His head abruptly exploded, splattering outwards. Before the eyes of all, amidst the astonishment of the various Lantern Corps members who had rushed here from all corners of the universe, Tony crushed Sinestro's head.

The headless corpse, like a rootless duckweed, fell limply from the sky, like a piece of trash tossed aside.

Everyone watched in silence, some of them suppressing the shock and rage in their hearts.

"The White Lantern Ring is in my hand. Anyone who dares use it without my permission, I won't go easy on them!"

Tony spat out a mouthful of black blood, and his complexion eased. The aura of death within his body had finally been completely purged.

No one present said a word, whether they were life forms who had come from other planets or the native superheroes and supervillains of Earth.

They couldn't speak even if they wanted to. The unsettling aura emanating from Tony made them tremble. It was a primal instinct, like encountering a natural predator, that made their hair stand on end, their muscles unconsciously tense, and their spirit strain to its limit.

Even the members of the Sinestro Corps, the Yellow Lanterns, remained silent at this moment.

With a thud, Sinestro's headless corpse hit the ground, making a soft sound, and then there was nothing more.

Sinestro, the once-great Green Lantern and leader of the Yellow Lantern Corps, was dead.

Tony expressionlessly flicked his hand. The casual motion was no different from crushing a stink bug. In fact, in his eyes, Sinestro truly was a stink bug.

The darkness slowly spread, surging forth once more. Nekron strode out from the veil of darkness, his aura fluctuating only slightly. He appeared completely unharmed.

The Life Entity, which had remained silent all this time, gently flapped its wings.

It could feel that a considerable amount of Nekron's power had been consumed.

Tony was already at Level Eight, roughly on the same tier as Nekron. With the Life Entity assisting him and backstabbing Nekron, even someone as powerful as Nekron had to pay a price.

With a snap, Tony snatched the White Lantern Ring. Before the Life Entity could speak, he tore open a portal, summoning reinforcements from Cybertron.

Clad in red, Wanda slowly walked out of the portal, the chaos magic around her roiling restlessly.

Tony shot the Life Entity a cold glance and directly tossed the White Lantern Ring to Wanda.

"This is..."

Wanda blinked, looking at the White Lantern Ring floating before her, a bit stunned. But she quickly grabbed it and, mimicking Tony, slid it onto her finger.

*Roar!*

A flicker appeared in Nekron's eyes. He pointed his scythe at Wanda's White Lantern Ring and charged forward with a deafening roar.

Eliminating the white light was his instinct; for every one that appeared, he would destroy one.

Tony snorted coldly. His figure vanished, reappearing in front of Nekron the next instant. The two once again engaged in fierce combat.

"Get lost!"

Nekron whispered icily.

"Kneel!"

Tony sneered.

Nekron said no more, but the chill in his eyes grew even deeper. His gaze passed over Tony to stare fiercely at the Life Entity.

A moment later, he silently glanced at Wanda, who was currently receiving the knowledge of the White Lantern Ring. For the first time, a sense of foreboding rose in his heart.

"You are a sinner. By allowing this filthy world to exist, you are the greatest sinner of all..."

Nekron uttered a whisper of death.

"I don't care."

Tony struck Nekron with a blast of white light and swiftly moved aside. Wanda, now wielding the White Lantern Ring, also charged forward. It was the girl's first time coming into contact with such pure white power, but surprisingly, it didn't clash or cause any discomfort with the chaos power inside her.

Perhaps the Elder God Chthon was also observing this place through Wanda's eyes...

A thought flashed through Tony's mind.

As one of the Four Chaos Gods, Chthon was arguably the most savage and bloodthirsty of them all. Previously, Tony had been powerless against him, but now, it would only take a little time for Tony to turn the entire Multiverse upside down. Unless Chthon was hiding in the Sphere of the Gods, Tony was confident he could drag him out.

With that thought, Tony suddenly said to the Life Entity, "Two White Lantern Rings are not enough!"

"Such a greedy herald..."

The Life Entity murmured, and everyone present heard its gentle yet majestic voice in their hearts.

*Whoosh!*

Countless points of light gathered, forming more than ten White Lantern Rings.

More people were pulled over by Tony from Cybertron.

"Optimus Prime from Cybertron, by destiny's decree, I have waited long!"

"Raven from Cybertron, by destiny's decree, I have waited long!"

"Max from Cybertron, by destiny's decree, I have waited long!"

"..."

"..."

More than ten Lantern Rings flew swiftly towards the group of people emerging from the portal.

The Life Entity seemed to understand now. Tony's domineering temper would never allow outsiders to possess the White Lantern Ring, so it simply gave these rings to the people Tony favored.

In any case, whoever held a White Lantern Ring would be working for it and would have to face Nekron.

"I cannot make any more. Most of my power has been channeled into the ring you hold. The life energy required to sustain a unique god like you in battle is astonishingly high."

The Life Entity flew about, leaving long trails of light in the air.

"This is enough!"

Tony's expression was grim. He was locked in battle with Nekron, and with a single command, more than ten White Lanterns charged forward together, beginning their siege on Nekron.
