Chapter 816

Chapter 800: You're Courting Death!

The great war between Tony and Nekron drew the attention of countless beings.

From the moment the Life Entity appeared, countless ancient deities were already alarmed.

Lesser or younger gods didn't have time to think too much. They only felt that this Life Entity was a peculiar thing and that they couldn't act rashly without absolute certainty.

But for some ancient beings, the temptation was irresistible.

Although the Life Entity was greatly weakened, it was, after all, the degenerated form of the White Light of Creation. Everyone wanted to understand the profound mysteries of the White Light of Creation. They were even more eager for news from beyond the Source Wall and hoped to discover a method to cross the Source Wall by studying it.

Countless beings were filled with curiosity about the unknown beyond the Source Wall. Thus, the mysterious, sudden, and powerful White Light of Creation naturally attracted the covetous attention of many.

"So that thing is the White Light of Creation... Hmm, although I can't sense anything specific, it doesn't feel very strong..."

A gaze extending from Hell cautiously observed the Prime Universe.

"Even at its weakest, it's on par with Nekron. It's not something a weakling like you can covet."

"What did you say?! Are you looking to die?!"

"Hmph, you foolish demon. Serves you right for being suppressed by Trigon your whole life..."

The voice gradually faded. The roaring demon, however, suddenly fell silent. Its terrifying, blood-red eyes revealed an intense greed as its figure slowly faded, stealthily slipping into the Prime Universe.

This risk was worth taking.

A long time later, someone spoke.

"That idiot Zarathos, did he really go to the Prime Universe?"

"It's good that he went. He's just a brainless piece of cannon fodder."

"The Prime Universe doesn't just have Nekron and the Life Entity. There's also the God of Cybertron who wields the Life Entity's power. That guy is improving way too fast. If Zarathos doesn't make a move now, he'll never have another chance."

"That's right. Although Zarathos is a bit stupid, he's not a complete fool..."

"There's no point in saying all this. He's dead for sure anyway. The Life Entity, Nekron, and Tony—which one of them can he possibly beat?"

"It's not just those three. Even more terrifying enforcers have entered the domain of the Prime Universe, but they just haven't made a move yet..."

"Who?"

"The Celestials. A whole group of high-level judges went. They're probably there to purge the cosmic locusts. Those parasites are the natural enemies of the Celestials."

...

On Earth, the superheroes finally arrived on the battlefield, watching the great war between Tony and Nekron in shock.

The earth trembled and the mountains swayed. The continental shelf beneath their feet continuously collapsed only to be instantly restored—a brutal scene of destruction and rebirth clashing repeatedly.

A casual attack from either Tony or Nekron could blast through the timeline, allowing them to stand on countless timelines and attack their opponent downstream.

This was a combat method unique to a Singular God, and also the most basic form of battle. Clearly, this was nothing to Nekron.

"This is terrifying... What monsters!"

Vibe watched the devastating scene in terror.

"We can't just stand by and watch!"

Clark stepped forward, his expression grim. His body still retained some of the Black Lantern's power, but fortunately, by relying on the great power of the Blue Lantern and his own firm willpower, he had finally driven out the Black Lantern Ring and regained his freedom.

Some superheroes with formidable combat power could also do this. The Black Lanterns resurrected from the dead could not, but those who were transformed from the living still had a chance to break free from the Black Lantern Ring.

The arrival of Superman and the others successfully drew the Life Entity's attention. This white bird, which had been observing from the side for a long time, gently flapped its wings, generously showering Clark and the others in its pure white light, completely dispelling the darkness within their bodies.

The Life Entity finally made its move.

As Tony and Nekron fought their bloody battle, Nekron fell into a complete rage. His nemesis was right in front of him, yet Tony's interference prevented him from landing a killing blow. In that moment, the points of light surrounding the Life Entity converged once more.

ROAR!!!

Nekron was truly enraged. The white light in his pupils vanished, transforming into a terrifying abyss. Black blood gushed out, and the planet trembled.

The scythe suddenly expanded, wreathed in black blood, and slashed viciously at Tony.

Even if it meant paying a price, Nekron had to kill this nuisance, Tony.

The darkness instantly surged, like the gaping maw of a black giant beast, swallowing the tiny speck of white light that was Tony in a single gulp. Heavy darkness swept over everything, and Tony's figure vanished into the infinite darkness.

But a terrifying yet subtle, formless pressure was climbing frantically, causing Clark and the others' faces to drain of color, their hearts pounding with fear.

The overwhelming pressure of a high-level life form on a low-level one was on full display, even through the barrier of the White Lantern and Black Lantern.

The Life Entity maintained its leisurely nobility, remaining untainted. It was as if all the darkness in the world was merely a throne prepared for it. The Life Entity floated lightly before Clark and the others.

Sinestro said coldly, "What do you want?"

The Life Entity did not speak. The points of light on its body grew even more brilliant, and the pulse of life ebbed and flowed, resonating with everyone present.

Every living being present could feel... themselves... emanating from the Life Entity.

This was the essence of life.

"It is not an enemy. It is the enemy of the darkness," Tony said through his helmet.

The two sides were in a standoff for two or three seconds. As the chill from within the darkness grew more intense and heart-stopping, someone finally couldn't hold back any longer.

Sinestro flew into the sky and sneered at the superheroes in a low voice, "What, cowering again? That's not like you at all! If you cowards don't dare, I do!"

"I will embrace this power!"

A trace of struggle and desire flashed in Sinestro's eyes. He plunged toward the Life Entity while resolutely removing the Yellow Lantern Ring from his hand. His momentum carried him tumbling toward the Life Entity.

"White Lantern..."

Sinestro's eyes became bloodshot. It was either succeed or face a miserable end. He decided to gamble. The stakes were high, but it was completely worth it!

"Give me your power! I am worthy of using your power, the others are not!" Sinestro roared hoarsely, his eyes red.

The Life Entity still did not respond, but before it, the white light dissipated, and a White Lantern Ring, emitting a pure, bright glow, floated steadily in the air.

"Mine! This is mine!" Sinestro snatched the White Lantern Ring. Despite his usual cunning and composure, his face revealed an ecstatic joy.

The White Lantern's information had already been transmitted into his mind. Sinestro was ecstatic.

"Sinestro of Korugar. Destiny has waited long."

In just half a second, once he put on the White Lantern Ring, he would become a White Lantern powerful enough to face Nekron head-on!

But reality is often full of comedy and tragedy.

The instant Sinestro touched the White Lantern Ring, the veil of darkness exploded!

A vast expanse of darkness roiled, and a dim white figure shot out from it, viciously grabbing Sinestro's head!

"Using my things without permission, did you ask me first?! You're courting death!!!"

Tony's figure was a battered mess, covered in gruesome wounds, but his face wore a savage grin.
