Chapter 815

Chapter 799: The Cunning Spirit and the Straightforward Emperor

Against the backdrop of the imminent clash between the Black and White Lantern entities, Tony rushed back. Carrying a boundless, dissipating aura, he shattered space-time to return and snatched the White Lantern Ring with a swift grab.

This was the first White Lantern Ring to ever be created, capable of wielding the life force of the Life Entity.

It was also the most direct and effective power against Nekron.

To Death, life itself was the most lethal weapon.

"Destiny... Heh!"

Tony's aura was in disarray. He clenched the White Lantern Ring tightly, the corners of his mouth twitching into a smirk as he glanced from the Life Entity to Nekron.

The White Lantern Ring, under the banner of destiny, presented itself to the warrior chosen by the Life Entity. In all fairness, there was nothing wrong with that.

But to a Singular God like Tony, this bullshit banner of "destiny" was utterly laughable.

To speak of fate to a god who was a singularity in the universe was absurd. A Singular God *is* what the multiverse calls fate.

Tony looked down at the Black Lantern Ring already on his finger and suddenly let out a low laugh. "You two... do you regret it?"

Nekron shot Tony a cold glance, his expression impassive as he swung his scythe viciously at the Life Entity. With a deafening boom, Earth trembled and the ground cracked, as if the entire planet would explode in the next second.

But after dodging Nekron's attack, the Life Entity gently flapped its wings, and Earth was instantly repaired by a white light, becoming stable once more.

"Tony, either attack Nekron immediately, or let go of the ring in your hand!" the Life Entity's voice rang out.

The moment it finished speaking, countless new points of light were born and began to converge rapidly, seemingly brewing new White Lantern Rings.

Nekron said frigidly, "Get lost, Joker!"

Nekron had seen many Singular Gods. Even though Tony had reached Level Eight, ordinarily, Nekron wouldn't have cared at all.

However, Tony now held a White Lantern Ring, allowing him to use the power of the Life Entity, which gave Nekron a sense of danger.

He knew very well how lethal the white light was to him.

Tony said nothing. He slowly slid the White Lantern Ring onto his finger and spoke calmly to the Life Entity, "You've been a great help to me. I don't mind being a warrior under your command for a short while, but I hope you know what you should and should not do."

White light bloomed, creating a stark contrast with the Black Lantern Ring on his finger. The conflict between life and death suddenly intensified, causing even a newly ascended god like Tony immense discomfort.

Two forces were pulling at his expanded godhead.

Tony's godhead had not only been fully repaired but had also expanded massively, and it continued to grow with every passing moment. The concept of being infinitely large was most directly manifested in the godhead.

"If you're in the way, then die!"

Nekron's gaze was utterly glacial as the black light surged. The aura of death blotted out the sky, making his hideous face seem even more terrifyingly grim.

Tony sneered and didn't say much. He immediately used the White Lantern Ring to attack the black force within his body, then forcibly removed the Black Lantern Ring.

The Black Lantern Ring was, for the moment, useless to him.

Tony directed the white light straight at Nekron. His seemingly tiny figure tore through the darkness like a sharp sword, smashing violently toward Nekron.

Right now, Tony was the Life Entity's agent. By wearing the White Lantern Ring, he would complete the mission for the Life Entity.

It wasn't that Tony hadn't considered bypassing the Life Entity to take out Nekron directly, but it was too difficult. If Nekron were that easy to deal with, a whole host of impatient gods would have already struck him down.

Nekron is Death, and Death cannot be killed by the living. But the Life Entity, a being that embodies the concept of all living things, can.

Boom!

Rip!

Tony brutally tore open the deep, dense veil of darkness. Enveloped in white light, he charged ferociously until he was face-to-face with Nekron for the third time.

"Do you feel regret?" Tony asked once more.

In their first clash, Nekron had chosen Tony as filler for the Central Power Battery, but Tony had successfully escaped.

In their second battle, Tony launched a surprise attack on Nekron, trying to obtain the key to the multiverse from him before he could move freely. But he never expected that damn The Spectre to give Nekron a priceless assist, allowing him to fully charge in a short time. Tony was nearly killed in that battle.

And now was the third time.

Three strikes and you're out.

After his ascension to Level Eight, Tony had returned strong, bringing with him a surging, boiling power and a massive amount of information. Wearing the White Lantern Ring, he faced Nekron once again.

"No one in this world can make me feel regret, least of all a lowly lifeform like you."

Nekron's gaze focused on the White Lantern Ring on Tony's finger, then leaped past Tony to stare menacingly at the Life Entity.

Tony scoffed and threw a blast of white light at Nekron.

Lifting his massive scythe, Nekron indifferently batted the white light away and instantly lunged at Tony. His other skeletal hand reached for Tony's finger, but the White Lantern Ring immediately erupted with an ocean of white light, severely burning Nekron's hand.

The white light transformed into white flames that burned steadily on Nekron's palm. A harsh sizzling sound was incessant as thick black smoke rose, as if something intangible was being destroyed by the light.

Tony's expression shifted. He examined Nekron with the eyes of a Level Eight Singular God. In a flash, the two had clashed hundreds more times. Although the white light was being consumed, the darkness suffered even greater losses.

*The Life Entity is attacking and erasing Nekron's trajectory of existence...* Tony mused thoughtfully.

Though it looked like he was the one in a bloody battle with Nekron using the White Lantern Ring, the aloof Life Entity behind him was constantly dissolving Nekron's power in its own way.

Tony was merely a medium, allowing the Life Entity to attack Nekron at its leisure. Frankly, even if Tony were killed by Nekron, the Life Entity would still profit immensely. At worst, it would just find another White Lantern wielder.

On the other side, Nekron was fighting Tony personally. Every bit of him that was lost was lost forever.

Yes, a very cunning Life Entity, insidiously wicked, but very much to Tony's liking. Compared to the sly and crafty Life Entity, Nekron was just too straightforward...

Tony and Nekron erupted into a fierce battle, both sides going all out. The confrontation between life and death was a novel sight. Unlike a clash of energy waves, their method of combat had already ascended to the level of cosmic rules.

The Life Entity fluttered its wings, quietly observing the battle from high above. It casually extended its power to stabilize Earth and even the Solar System, preventing the area from being destroyed by the aftershocks of the war between light and death.

She watched the battle indifferently, her gaze fixed on the fierce struggle between Tony and Nekron, maintaining a disquieting silence all the while.
