Chapter 798: Destiny Has Long Awaited!
As Tony drew closer, a terrifying attractive force suddenly emanated from the wall, fiercely entangling him.
"Not good!"
Tony's heart sank; he had successfully drawn the attention of the Source Wall.
"Even with the Emotional Spectrum propelling me, I can't do anything against the Source Wall...?"
Tony's expression turned grim. Ignoring the taunts and curses of countless unknown gods, just before the Emotional Spectrum could send him crashing into the Source Wall, and before that seemingly world-devouring, omnipresent suction force could intensify, Tony decisively ended his own existence.
His Consciousness Body began to collapse, sparing him the fate of being stuck to the Source Wall.
He didn't dare to gamble. If this Consciousness Body were captured by the Source Wall and it affected his true body, he would be completely finished.
"I was hoping to bluff my way past it and take a peek at the unknown Void beyond the Source Wall..."
Before his consciousness faded, Tony smacked his lips with some regret.
What lies beyond the Source Wall is the ultimate mystery.
Whether the legendary Emotional Spectrum Pool truly exists is also a riddle.
"Dead? How did he die?! Ptooey! Useless!"
"What a pity. There goes our entertainment."
"I wonder when the next living person will come by... Sigh, this existence is so unbearable!"
A series of regretful voices rang out, filled with lamenting sighs.
...
Back in his true body, Tony's aura surged violently as his limits were shattered. The very concept of the Multiverse was beginning to take a quantum leap within him.
The information transmitted back from that sliver of his destroyed consciousness truly sent a massive shock through Tony.
That vast golden barrier, those countless monsters so powerful they made even his scalp tingle, were utterly helpless on the Source Wall...
"That is not something I should be concerned with right now."
Forcibly suppressing the tremor in his heart, Tony's expression returned to one of cold indifference.
It would be a lie to say he had no lingering thoughts about it, but any ambition had to be built on a foundation of strength. Moreover, when it came to the Source Wall, whether strength was even a factor was another question entirely.
"Yuga Khan is still stuck to the wall, searching for a way to escape... It would be best if that tyrant stayed up there for all eternity."
Tony shook his head.
Compared to Yuga Khan, a so-called tyrant like Darkseid was practically a child—far too gentle and amiable.
Focusing his mind, Tony's eyes narrowed slightly. He cast all distracting thoughts aside and began to savor the frenzied ascent through the tiers.
At this moment, the massive influx of information allowed Tony to understand many things that were previously incomprehensible to him.
A new Level Eight god, from this moment forth, let out his roar to the Multiverse!
Ascending from a Singular God to the level of Infinity is a process both simple and yet incomparably difficult. While Level Eight powerhouses are precious, over the long eons, a few have always emerged. But a Level Eight Singular God like Tony was exceptionally rare.
...
While Tony was advancing to a higher tier, back on Earth, no one had the luxury of wondering where he had gone.
Nekron didn't care, and neither did the Life Entity.
Tony's disappearance was like a signal. The Life Entity was no longer content to lie dormant and revealed itself grandly.
On the darkness-saturated Earth, a brilliant white light suddenly emerged from an unknown source. Wherever it passed, it forcefully tore the darkness asunder. In the regions enveloped by the white light, the darkness dissipated, and the Black Lanterns were annihilated.
The Life Entity found Singular Gods detestable. With Tony gone, she could no longer be bothered to simply observe.
"It's happening again, it's happening again!"
A flicker appeared in Nekron's eyes as he watched the white light appear from nowhere. A strange energy began to rise from his being.
This déjà vu-inducing scene brought back absolutely terrible memories.
It had been the same back then. He had been perfectly content in the darkness, having plunged the Multiverse into silence, while he rampaged through the void-like dark world, enslaving numerous conceptual beings of darkness and chaos.
Then, a beam of the White Light of Creation flew in from beyond the Source Wall and viciously struck Nekron. It not only beat him into an eternal slumber but also rescued seven dark creatures while killing all the rest.
Nekron had held onto this grudge, unable to ever let it go.
"I have been waiting for you!"
"The humiliation you brought upon me will be washed away today!"
Nekron raised his scythe high, let out a roar, and viciously slashed at the encroaching power of the Light.
After innumerable reboots of the Multiverse, these two opposing forces, natural enemies to the core, finally crashed into each other once more.
Destruction and Rebirth violently clashed. The aftershocks from the power of these two arch-nemeses from opposite ends of the Emotional Spectrum, both with astonishingly grand origins, collided with a deafening boom.
"Get out here! Do you intend to keep hiding? Or are you plotting some other insidious scheme?"
Nekron coldly withstood the white light, the avatar of darkness forcibly tearing the brilliant radiance in two. Beams of sacred light shone upon Nekron's body, creating a faint sizzling sound with every touch.
The entire Earth, the entire main universe, witnessed this noble white radiance that had appeared from nowhere. Waves of hope and prayer surged in from countless planets.
The white light could hear all the whispers and prayers of the living.
In an instant, the white light surged. A massive orb of light, shrouded in dense white energy, soared up from the center of the radiant world. It danced through the sky, leaving a long trail as it hovered high above.
As the halo surrounding the orb of light gradually dissipated, the noble being, once concealed by the sacred glow, finally revealed its form.
It was a creature of breathtaking beauty.
A pure white bird spread its brilliant wings. The whispers of countless lives echoed around her, and gazes filled with hope surged from innumerable worlds, all of which she absorbed.
She was the one who had brought an end to the dark world, the ultimate convergence of billions of living beings.
"You've finally come out."
Nekron's face twisted. "You've grown weaker. And thanks to you, so have I. But I'm still more than strong enough to kill you!"
The Life Entity spread its wings, and a voice like a whisper emerged, "My opponent has never been you, but rather the living beings who have suffered under your tyranny."
Nekron wasted no more words. Under the watchful eyes of all, he stretched his mouth into a hideous grin, let out a silent roar, and lunged at the Life Entity.
However, the Life Entity clearly had no intention of 'rolling up its sleeves' and fighting personally. In her current state, she was not guaranteed to win a direct confrontation against Nekron. Compared to the original White Light of Creation, she was far too weak.
In a flash, countless points of light appeared on the Life Entity's body. They rapidly converged, ultimately forming a power ring that radiated a sacred light.
Boom!
Brimming with chilling killing intent, Tony tore through space-time and returned to the main universe, snatching the White Lantern Ring from the air.
"Tony of Earth!"
A soft yet majestic voice sounded from within the White Lantern Ring.
"Destiny has long awaited!"
