Chapter 796

Chapter 780: What the hell are you trying to do!

The entire Main Universe was in a chaotic battle, a melee between the living and the dead, with no shortage of clashes between Level Seven beings.

The first thing these Black Lanterns did upon resurrection was have their past emotional memories searched by their Black Lantern Rings. Then, they would swiftly rush toward people they knew in life, specifically using words and actions to guide them and constantly provoke the emotions of the living.

Black Lantern Odin was doing just that. He wandered over to the continent of Asgard, only to find it had already collapsed. But he immediately received news from other Black Lanterns and hastily traveled to the other side of the universe to wage war against the Celestial Thor.

"Father..."

Thor stared in disbelief at the person before him. The burly, majestic body, the familiar face, the surging, powerful force of Odin... Apart from the ring emitting a black light on his finger, the man before him was as if he had traveled through space-time to the present.

"My son, Thor Odinson, you've grown up."

Black Lantern Odin raised his head, his black eyes fixed on Thor as if in deep reminiscence. He slowly extended a hand and said, "You have become a worthy king. Come, I..."

Thud!

Thor slammed a heavy fist into Odin's head, sending him staggering.

"You're not him! If he saw me now, he would surely be disappointed, because I walked a dark path for the sake of revenge! To some extent, I've even betrayed my Pantheon!"

Thor swung his fists, continuously smashing them into Odin's face. His speed was astonishing, the dense flurry of blows leaving a trail of afterimages.

Soon, cracks actually began to appear on Odin's skull, until Thor, roaring, smashed out a final punch that shattered Black Lantern Odin's head.

From beginning to end, this Odin never fought back.

His body staggered, but his head instantly reformed. A strange smile appeared on Odin's face. "My son, has your heart changed? If your heart hasn't changed, then you are still Thor, the most suitable king for Asgard. Mere appearances are nothing."

Thor trembled all over. The familiar voice and appearance made his eyes turn crimson, but nothing flowed from his four eyes.

"Answer me, Thor, has your heart changed?" Odin slowly approached.

"It hasn't, Father! My heart has not changed!"

Thor wanted to cry, screaming at the top of his lungs.

The smile on Odin's face grew wider. "Very good. Come here, Thor. I want to dig out your heart and inspect it... I can't just take your word for it."

BOOM!

Odin's expression instantly turned savage, and a hissing sound came from his mouth. His divine power had turned black at some unknown point. Streaks of black light coiled around the great God-King. His twisted face held none of its former majesty, only immense greed and a thirst for slaughter.

A large hand pierced through Thor's chest. An unknown liquid slowly trickled down—it seemed like blood, yet it was somehow different.

Odin froze for a moment, for he had not found the heart he desired.

Thor reached out with both hands, grabbing Odin's hand fiercely. He spoke, word by word, "Father, I already told you. To obtain the power to take revenge on Amatsu-Mikaboshi and to revive Asgard, I walked a dark path... I have already acquired power comparable to your own!"

Thor brutally crushed Odin's hand and began to attack him with wild abandon.

Divine power surged as the two generations of Asgard's God-Kings began their frantic battle.

Black Lantern Odin was completely unconcerned with damage, willing to trade injury for injury. Coupled with the fact that he was just a dead man controlled by a Black Lantern Ring, his combat power was diminished, allowing Thor to gain a slight upper hand.

But he couldn't win, no matter what.

Just then, a streak of green light cut through the darkness and arrived before Thor. It was a Green Lantern Ring that had flown all the way from the Milky Way Galaxy.

Although a single ring couldn't destroy a Black Lantern, it could at least grant the living greater power to resist.

It wasn't just Thor; many rings began to fly across the Main Universe, including those from Cybertron and the ones released by Atrocitus and the other Seven Lantern Corps.

To fight the darkness, the power of light was needed.

The battle between Thor and Odin was just an insignificant corner of the chaotic war now engulfing the entire universe.

The madly proliferating Black Lantern Rings were spreading a veil of darkness over the entire Main Universe.

Before long, a Black Lantern Ring was the first to make contact with the Universal Barrier. It broke through and entered the Blood Realm.

This single, small Black Lantern Ring seemed insignificant, but it was like a virus repository, spreading a suffocating and despairing death. It drifted erratically into the distance. Gradually, more and more Black Lantern Rings left the Main Universe, flying toward the entire Multiverse.

These rings, like shooting stars, were noticed the very moment they left the Main Universe.

The numerous avatars of the One-Above-All, stationed throughout the Multiverse, silently watched these rings scattering in every direction.

"There's no end to these rings. If we don't take out Nekron, the Multiverse will never have a future."

"That guy Tony is still in the Main Universe. Who knows what he's plotting..."

Numerous gazes watched the rings fly out from the Main Universe, and for a moment, silence fell.

The Anti-Monitor, Mobius, cautiously dodged these rings, his expression uncertain. "Nekron has drawn everyone's attention. This is my chance..."

With that, Mobius swiftly left the area, flying toward a more distant region. He couldn't hold back any longer; he planned to officially begin the destruction of the Positive Matter Universe so that the Anti-Life Equation could increase his power.

The number of Black Lantern Rings grew and grew, increasing exponentially. They descended upon various universes, spreading darkness and slaughtering the living.

The Nirvana Universe was also targeted by a Black Lantern Ring.

The Black Lantern Ring rapidly approached the Nirvana Universe.

Initially, the Gaia Consciousness of the Nirvana Universe planned to play dead—one of its outstanding talents—but it ultimately couldn't resist. Its body rolled, clumsily dodging the Black Lantern Ring.

The Black Lantern Ring froze for a split second. Then, like a vicious wolf that had spotted its prey, numerous other Black Lantern Rings suddenly changed course, lunging malevolently toward the Nirvana Universe.

Within the vast Blood Realm, a spectacular scene unfolded: a black tide of Black Lantern Rings frantically pursuing a round, rolling universe.

The Nirvana Universe was fortunate, able to temporarily evade the invasion of the Black Lantern Rings. However, many more universes fell into dire straits. The rampaging Black Lanterns plunged the inhabitants of those universes into immense confusion and bewilderment.

The entire Multiverse was falling at an astonishing rate. Vast swathes of universes were being corroded by the Black Lanterns, and darkness began to eclipse the light.

Even the most hidden Prime Universe could not be spared. The first Black Lantern Ring forced its way in, began to resurrect the dead, and spewed out black blood to create more Black Lantern Rings.

At that moment, Superboy-Prime had just thrown down the latest issue of a comic, filled with rage.

"What the hell are you trying to do!!!"
