Chapter 779: Analyzing the Emotional Spectrum
Tony was seated on Cybertron, silently observing the Prime Universe.
His gaze could easily cross the boundaries of space-time. The numerous complex dimensions were nothing more than a transparent membrane in Tony's eyes.
Every single moment, countless information aggregates were being carefully gathered by Tony, who feared that if this information were to spread, it would annihilate innumerable lives.
To Tony, he could transform information into a part of his own strength. For a Unique being, the various pieces of information generated every moment were also one-of-a-kind, and using information aggregates to fight was one of the methods employed by Singular Gods.
In the entire Prime Universe, now shrouded in darkness, very few things could be hidden from Tony.
An outsider whose divine power was inadvertently leaking, its powerful fluctuations like a lightbulb in the dark of night, instantly captured Tony's attention.
"Divine power... Who is so eager to die that they would come from an alternate universe to the Prime Universe at this critical juncture? Are they not afraid of death?"
Tony's eyes shifted slightly, landing on the life form from which the divine power surged. The being seemed unable to perfectly control its power, giving the impression that its strength had suddenly skyrocketed.
The situation in the Prime Universe at this time was at its most delicate and perilous. Daring to come here now was practically a death wish.
Tony had seen many flee the Prime Universe in a panic to other universes. For example, a group of Watchers who had been nearly wiped out by Ancient Doomsday just a few years ago and had only recently settled back into the Prime Universe were now hastily piloting their spaceships to escape.
"He actually took up residence in the Great Luo Heaven... It seems he's the most mysterious God-King. But it has nothing to do with me. As long as he doesn't come and bother me, I can't be bothered to deal with him."
Tony glanced indifferently at the Great Luo Heaven, showing no reaction.
He didn't have a very favorable impression of these World Tree Pantheons. More than twenty thousand years ago, after the Deviants and the Eternals successively vanished from Earth, it was these pantheons that came to carve up territory and control the development of Earth's primitive humans.
After some thought, Tony sensed the aura in the Prime Universe that seemed to be everywhere and was growing stronger by the second. He estimated that there was still some time before Nekron could move about freely.
This period was enough for Tony to get something done.
He had no intention of stopping Nekron's energy absorption process; it was pointless. Even if Tony destroyed the Prime Universe, so what? There were countless universes in the multiverse. It was only a matter of time before the Black Lantern Rings broke through the universal barriers and entered other universes. Billions of living beings were all bio-energy sources for Nekron to absorb.
It was better to use this time difference to make contact with the Emotional Spectrum as soon as possible.
"The Emotional Spectrum, which originates from beyond the Source Wall, seems to contain a deeper mystery that even the Sphere of the Gods cannot touch. This mystery is something that even many Singular Gods are not qualified to access."
Tony narrowed his eyes. He reached out and grabbed the seven complaining Lantern Entities, extracting a part of each of their bodies. He fused them together with his immense power. Under the glare of a blinding light, the Emotional Spectrum was stirred on a small scale. Then, relying on the powerful willpower of a Singular God, Tony penetrated it, sensing the vast energy spectrum.
It was said that in the unknown region beyond the Source Wall, there was an immense pool called the "Emotional Spectrum Pool," the ultimate source of the Emotional Spectrum.
No one knew if this rumor was true. Perhaps there really was a gigantic pool that held the secrets of the Emotional Spectrum, including the origin of its birth, its ultimate demise, and more. Or perhaps this rumor, from who-knows-whose-mouth, was complete nonsense, and there was not only no pool beyond the Source Wall but nothing at all.
Many ancient gods with limited knowledge once believed that the Source Wall was the edge of the world, that the real world was within the wall, and that beyond it was nothing but ruins.
But this was a laughable notion.
No one knew just how long the Sphere of the Gods had existed, or how long the Source Wall had separated the inside from the outside.
Countless ancient gods had appeared, generation after generation. After reaching the limits of their own power, they yearned for new knowledge and mysteries, wanting to reach new heights, so they cast their gazes to the world beyond the wall.
And so, they all got stuck to the wall. Aside from beings like The Spectre and the Monitors, who were naturally connected to Level 10 beings, no one knew what was truly beyond the Source Wall. No matter how incredible a god was, once they went to the Source Wall, they were powerless to break through its seal and enter the world beyond, let alone find the Emotional Spectrum Pool.
Tony looked at the colorful world before him. A faint, ethereal curtain of light appeared, its various hues constantly shifting. Tony watched in silence.
After a while, he reached out, grasped a ball of light, and felt the subtle fluctuations in his own emotions.
Anything that could cause a change in the spirit and will of a Singular God was exceptionally precious, let alone such a tiny bit of spectrum energy!
"The Emotional Spectrum Pool... it most likely exists."
Tony closed his eyes, allowing himself to be bathed in the Emotional Spectrum.
As far as he knew, the Ultraviolet Lantern ring originated from the unknown world beyond the Source Wall. Even the terrifyingly powerful Source Wall could not block the passage of the Emotional Spectrum.
This spectrum was too vast, its coverage too terrifying.
A being as powerful as Nekron was merely the Lantern Entity of the death wavelength on the Emotional Spectrum.
A long, long time later, Tony withdrew from the Emotional Spectrum. His entire being re-emerged from the light, maintaining his seated posture in silence.
In that brief time within the Emotional Spectrum, he had come into contact with a terrifying information aggregate containing the memories of the joys, sorrows, and angers of countless lives. Without careful analysis, the Emotional Spectrum was a perfectly orderly hodgepodge.
Only Tony would dare to do something like this. If it were anyone else who dared to merge with the Emotional Spectrum directly, they would have long since been blown apart by the information aggregate.
That brief moment felt like countless years had passed.
Tony rubbed his forehead, looked at the seven fuming Lantern Entities around him, and said, "You all... are truly fortunate."
"The hell I am! Don't you push me too far!"
Adara's feathers instantly stood on end.
He cut off a piece of my body and calls it fortunate?
Fortunate my ass!
Your whole family is fortunate!
Others may be afraid of you, but I'm not!
"I, Adara, am the leader of the visible light Lantern Entities! Don't think I'm a pushover!" Adara roared, flapping its wings.
"Oh...?" Tony looked up, his gaze deep as he stared at it.
The other six Lantern Entities tacitly took a step back in unison.
Proselyte whispered, "Leader, you're about to die..."
Ophidian looked at Adara with mockery and contempt, cursing "idiot" under its breath.
Ion remained silent.
Parallax watched coldly from the sidelines, having been the first to retreat to the farthest distance.
The Butcher snorted, "Die, just die. Better to be killed by Tony than by Nekron."
The Predator was solely focused on staring at Proselyte.
Adara's movements stiffened as it stood alone, facing Tony's cold, smiling face.
