Reverse Flash's eyes looked ready to burst as he roared madly. The corners of his eyes split from the excessive strain, but a flicker of red electrical arc healed his wounds.
In a daze, Reverse Flash saw Savitar grab him by the neck and start running wildly. This speed had already surpassed the limits Reverse Flash could have ever imagined. In an instant, they transcended the limits of dimension and space-time, entering a cerulean blue tunnel.
"A blue tunnel..."
Reverse Flash's body was scoured by an immeasurable torrent of Speed Force. The immense pressure from countless space-times flooded his body and soul. The pitiful amount of Speed Force within him was utterly powerless against this level of pressure.
Generally speaking, the red electrical arc was considered the slowest. The closer it got to blue, the faster the speed. When the speed reached white, it meant it had surpassed the Speed of Light and entered the superluminal stage.
If the white was streaked with gold, its significance would be even more terrifying.
Of course, Reverse Flash's research into the Speed Force hadn't gone that deep. He only knew that red was the slowest and blue was the fastest; he had no clear understanding of speeds that surpassed the seven common colors.
At this moment, Tony was quietly watching the trajectory that traversed the universe in a flash. He could faintly see the flicker of white light.
Tony wasn't surprised at all. According to the information he'd gleaned from the comics, a white Speed Force electrical arc was common after surpassing the Speed of Light.
For someone like The Flash, whose electrical arc was yellow, close to red, even if he were supplied with an endless amount of Speed Force to burn, his speed cap was highly debatable. It felt like a lot of effort for little gain.
Carefully counting The Flash's many doppelgängers in the comics, whether it was the future blue Flash or the black Flash that represented Death, their speeds were all incredibly fast.
To be even faster, one had to surpass blue and enter the white electrical arc stage. The fastest, without a doubt, was white with a hint of gold, or even having the entire Speed Force electrical arc turn a brilliant gold.
Tony suspected that the Ultimate Flash who created the Speed Force Wall had a golden Speed Force electrical arc; being able to firmly suppress Savitar's speed was a rare feat.
"Reverse Flash is about to die too," Tony said with a smile. He still remembered the scene on the eve of his departure from Earth, when he had gone to Central City to extort Speed Force technology from Reverse Flash.
In the blink of an eye, another ten years had passed. The Flash was dead, and Reverse Flash was about to follow in his footsteps.
This was the most realistic world; superheroes would always die in battle. The endless stream of villains wasn't made of clay; they couldn't be toppled with a single touch or persuaded to surrender with mere words.
"At least I don't have to worry about these guys with Speed Force being resurrected during the Blackest Night. That would be a real pain."
Both The Flash and Reverse Flash would die within the Speed Force and on the timeline. No corpse or fragments of one would be left in this world, so they wouldn't be enslaved by Nekron and turned into Black Lanterns.
But this was also a terrible way to die. If the White Lantern Ring were to appear, it meant these people would never get a chance at a new life.
The first people the Life Entity resurrected were the Black Lanterns controlled by the Black Lantern Corps, and it only revived the very few who fought on Earth. The billions of Black Lanterns scattered across the universe were all truly dead.
Tony just watched coldly as Savitar dragged Reverse Flash rampaging across the Multiverse, not bothering to get involved in this mess.
As long as Savitar didn't provoke him, Tony had no interest in dealing with this madman who could snap at any moment.
...
Savitar gripped the back of Reverse Flash's neck, running frantically through the cerulean, arched tunnel. He was moving at the ultimate speed, surpassing the limits of light. If one were to look at the Multiverse as a flat map, they would see a white light pillar rocketing forward at a speed close to teleportation.
Reverse Flash was being tortured to the brink of death by Savitar, and his body began to break down under the scouring of the excessive Speed Force.
"You were never worthy of being my enemy. You never had the right!" Savitar's hoarse voice roared, echoing in Reverse Flash's mind.
*Zzzzt!*
A violent electrical arc erupted. Savitar pinned Reverse Flash, slamming him against the barrier of the cerulean tunnel. This super-speedway, meticulously created by Savitar and usable only by him, instantly erupted with blinding electrical arcs and a deafening roar upon contact with Reverse Flash.
Reverse Flash was being infected and corrected by Savitar's power, undergoing a transformation into an unknown creature.
"You won't die, but you will become one of my consumables... Do you know of the Black Flash? You will become just like that, enslaved by me."
Savitar's voice was like a demon's whisper.
"No!!!"
Reverse Flash struggled frantically, electrical arcs constantly shooting from his cracked eyes, which were filled with fear. His body thrashed helplessly.
The Black Flash—a Speedster whose consciousness has been destroyed by the Speed Force's Collective Consciousness and then modified into a killing machine!
To put it bluntly, it was an upgraded version of a Time Wraith!
Every single Black Flash was one of the most outstanding, top-tier Speedsters in life!
The Black Flash was a rare creature that also existed in the Space-Time Tunnel, and its sole duty was to hunt down Speedsters who crossed the line!
But now, this unfamiliar Barry actually wanted to turn him into a Black Flash...
Reverse Flash went insane, wanting to kill himself, but he couldn't.
A blood-curdling scream rang out as his body slowly underwent corruption. A massive amount of cerulean Speed Force surged into his body, forcibly erasing his soul. Reverse Flash could clearly feel his consciousness being wiped away, his memories being artificially altered and replaced with terrifying obedience and training memories he had never experienced.
Once his spirit disappeared, these memories would become his instincts. Countless hunting methods and techniques would grant him superior combat capabilities even after he became an imbecile.
Reverse Flash vanished completely. What appeared in Savitar's hands was a creature that looked like a dried corpse.
The yellow battle suit was in tatters, completely turned black. His once-burly body now seemed to have been drained of all flesh and blood, becoming skin and bones, and taking on a heart-stopping black hue.
"Still too shabby..."
Savitar examined it for a moment, muttering with some dissatisfaction.
The method to create a Black Flash wasn't a secret. The Speed Force's Collective Consciousness could create them, so of course he, Savitar, was also capable of it. He was the man who would become the God of Speed, the sole master of the Speed Force. If he didn't even know the various ways to apply the Speed Force, how could he achieve deification?
"If I used that guy instead, and turned him into a weapon... even if The Flash himself came, I might be able to kill him!"
Savitar's expression was sinister.
The cerulean tunnel flickered between light and dark. Savitar glanced coldly at this construct of his. Compared to the Speed Force Wall, this thing was far inferior.
He was a little angry.
