Chapter 768

Chapter 752: The Flash...

Barry stood tall before the two of them, clad in his signature red suit, a smile gracing his lips.

"Barry! Oh, my man, you worried me to death!"

Cisco excitedly hugged Barry, slapping him hard on the back.

Reverse-Flash's expression was stiff, his face a mixture of shock and uncertainty as he stared at Barry.

At this moment, Cisco's back was to Reverse-Flash, while Barry directly faced him. The two locked eyes.

Faintly, countless electrical arcs flashed in the depths of Barry's eyes. The violent Speed Force arcs made even the experienced Reverse-Flash's heart pound in fear. His mind roared, alarm bells blared, and the hair on his body stood on end.

This so-called Barry before him... gave him a hair-raising feeling.

Barry looked at Reverse-Flash with his deep, bottomless eyes and slowly broke into a smile. The smile was familiar, yet Reverse-Flash distinctly felt as if he were being targeted by a beast.

This person... is definitely not Barry Allen! No, I should say, he's not the Barry Allen I know!

"White arcs of the Speed Force..."

Reverse-Flash's whole body went stiff. Beads of sweat unknowingly covered his forehead, and goosebumps erupted all over his skin. It felt as if his heart was about to stop, and his body turned ice-cold.

This person... who the hell is he!!!

Cisco, his face filled with excitement, let go of his friend. "You actually went on an adventure without telling us!"

"I'm fine now, aren't I?" Barry said with a warm smile, everything appearing perfectly normal.

Cisco didn't notice anything amiss. Even seeing Reverse-Flash drenched in sweat, he just assumed the villain's scheme had failed. He even took the opportunity to mock Reverse-Flash before cheerfully dragging Barry and Caitlin off to a bar to celebrate.

As they turned the corner, Barry seemingly glanced back at him. The white electrical arcs in his eyes surged like a tsunami, flooding his sockets for an instant before vanishing again.

With everyone gone, the underground prison fell silent once more.

After a long while, the stiff-faced Reverse-Flash finally started panting heavily and slumped to the floor.

"That person... who is he!!!" Reverse-Flash said coldly through gritted teeth.

For a moment back there, he truly thought he was going to die!

This strange guy had the ability to kill him in an instant!

"The Speed Force inside him is just too terrifying. Whether it's the sheer amount or the vibrational frequency, it's... indescribable..."

Reverse-Flash felt that the Speed Force he had painstakingly accumulated was a mere droplet, while the Speed Force in the other man was a vast, endless ocean.

The gap was too huge.

"Who the hell is he! What happened to the real Barry! What the hell happened!!"

Reverse-Flash was on the verge of going insane.

Before, no matter how he fought with Barry, his sense of crisis never peaked, because Reverse-Flash knew very well that Barry would almost never kill him.

Therefore, he never worried about his own life or death. For the past twenty-plus years, he had been cautious, avoiding trouble, keeping as low a profile as possible so as not to affect any major historical events, and not provoking powerful figures like the Ancient One or Tony. With those conditions met, he could basically do whatever he wanted.

But... things were completely different now. A monster had arrived, one who was like a deity of the Speed Force!

A living deity forged from the Speed Force itself!

Reverse-Flash had a sinking feeling that he had seriously messed up... Regret flooded his heart. If he had known this would happen, he never would have tricked Barry into using time travel to save his mother...

He had originally thought he could use the unique nature of Tony, the One-Above-All, to eliminate Barry. But it seemed that while Barry was gone, a terrifying monster had appeared in his place.

A long while later, with a whoosh, the unfamiliar Barry reappeared. The powerful arcs of the Speed Force instantly triggered a small storm, affecting the entire power system of S.T.A.R. Labs. The lights flickered, and various precision instruments malfunctioned, their readings jumping erratically.

The warmth from before was long gone, replaced by a cold and grim severity. He fixed a cruel gaze on Reverse-Flash as fine electrical arcs danced around him.

"Who the hell are you?" Reverse-Flash growled, his face filled with dread.

Whoosh!

Voom!

In an instant, Barry's body vibrated and phased through the glass door into the cell, grabbing Reverse-Flash by the neck and lifting him into the air.

Phasing through matter by vibrating at high frequencies is the most basic ability of a Speedster.

"I am... Savitar, the God of Speed!"

Savitar revealed a savage and sinister smile. Half of his face began to rapidly transform under the correction of the Speed Force. His once-unblemished features quickly became a scorched red, the bloody muscles underneath pulsing slowly.

Reverse-Flash struggled desperately, but inside this special prison, he couldn't use the meager amount of Speed Force in his body to fight back. Savitar, however, was clearly unaffected.

"You are completely unworthy of your name, unworthy of being the Reverse-Flash... A piece of trash who can only steal the Speed Force would be better off dead..." Savitar murmured.

"No, I can help you! My only goal is to defeat The Flash! No matter who you are, I can help you!" Reverse-Flash struggled, but before Savitar, he was as helpless as a chick, with no power to resist.

Savitar looked at Reverse-Flash, silent for a moment. He suddenly let go, turned, and shattered the glass door, pointing outside. "Now, I'll give you a chance... Run. If you can escape from my grasp, I'll spare your life..."

Reverse-Flash fell to the ground with a thud. Clutching his neck, he coughed a couple of times as the Speed Force within him activated, and arcs of red lightning began to appear around his body.

Looking at those loach-like electrical arcs, Savitar just sneered, his eyes filled with contempt.

Compared to him, whose Speed Force was like a river, these fragmented electrical arcs were laughable.

Whoosh!

Like a madman, Reverse-Flash frantically sprinted outside, pushing his power to the absolute limit. His expression was twisted and horrifying as his speed exploded, instantly surpassing the threshold of five thousand times the speed of sound and continuing to accelerate until he reached the seven-thousand-times mark.

But, a speed merely measured by multiples of the speed of sound was like a crawling ant in front of Savitar...

One times the speed of light is equal to 880,000 times the speed of sound. No one knew exactly how fast Savitar was, but it was certainly, at a minimum, trillions upon trillions of times the speed of light.

After all, the peak speed of the third Flash, Wally West, was 13 trillion times the speed of light, and the regular speed of the second Flash, Barry Allen, was enough to circle the Milky Way twice in a second. So for Savitar, who dared to confront both the Ultimate Flash and the Speed Force Wall simultaneously... his speed had long since broken the limits of the multiverse.

The units of speed used in the multiverse were insufficient to measure Savitar.

Reverse-Flash ran frantically, but the shadow of death constantly loomed over him. He could almost see Death before him: on a barren planet, within a desolate palace, a skeleton cloaked in black robes was watching him coldly.
