Chapter 724

Chapter 708: Go to the Anti-Matter Universe

Thane froze, his expression changing as he saw a hand, seemingly appearing from nowhere, tightly gripping his wrist. Instinctively, he exerted force, unleashing a Death Ray that ferociously blasted towards the hand.

But the Death Ray, which had always been effective in the past, seemed to strike an invisible barrier, scattered by an unknown power.

"I never thought Thanos could father a son like you..."

Tony tore open a portal, and a dark figure suddenly descended.

Thane's physique was not small, but for some reason, facing Tony, he felt as insignificant as dust. The absolute suppression from a higher life-level left Thane nearly suffocating.

This was his first time facing Tony, and his first time facing the One-Above-All.

Thane felt like a mere clown; no matter how much he struggled, he was just an ant in the other party's eyes.

"Put away your restraining power. To think such a small amount of energy could restrain me is simply laughable," Tony said flatly, releasing Thane's arm.

An indescribable pressure spread out, causing this entire space-time to halt. The movement of all things became rigid, and the center of the world seemed to have suddenly shifted to Tony.

The Phoenix egg ultimately fell into Tony's hands.

"A Phoenix Fragment..."

The Phoenix egg immediately grew restless upon contact with a life force, seemingly wanting to merge with the life form that touched it. However, under Tony's powerful control and repulsion, the Phoenix egg circled for a long time before resentfully reverting to a ball of light.

The power of a mere Phoenix Fragment couldn't possibly act up in Tony's hands.

Tony lowered his head, scrutinizing the ball of light in his hand, lost in thought. This was his first time touching an ownerless Phoenix Force. It felt distinctly different from the Dark Phoenix within Jean.

The Dark Phoenix was filled with cold-bloodedness and hatred, as if corrupted, while this Phoenix egg still maintained its "purity"—the purity unique to the Phoenix Force.

"If your current self were to directly touch the Phoenix egg, you would most likely die."

Tony said flatly, looking at Thane, whose face was filled with shock and unwillingness.

"I don't want this thing; I'll give it to someone who needs it," Thane said warily, as waves of energy, gathered from his entire body, rose from his hands.

Though it was useless.

"With a son like you, Thanos would truly be so angered he'd rise from the dead," Tony said, looking at Thane.

Thane's growth trajectory had long been altered beyond recognition, yet he still maintained his fundamental views on good and evil and his values, untouched by Ebony Maw's distortion.

That wasn't bad.

On the other side, Grail and Tyrant moved past each other, cautiously observing Tony.

"Despicable thief!" Tyrant roared in a booming voice like a wild bull, disregarding everything as he charged at Grail.

"Troublesome fellow!"

Grail cursed under her breath, disdainfully dodging Tyrant's attack, and the two once again brushed past each other.

She shook off Tyrant and quickly approached Tony. Under Thane's astonished gaze, she slowly bowed, respectfully saying, "Great Primus, the Godslayer who shakes the Multiverse, Grail offers you her highest respect."

Thane's mouth gaped open. He looked at the usually defiant Grail, then at Tony's calm face.

Grail glanced sideways, gritted her teeth, and slapped him. Thane's knees buckled, and he immediately knelt.

Tyrant hid in the distance, uncertain and surprised.

"Grail, daughter of Darkseid, I have heard your name. You are very active on Warworld and wished to meet me."

"Yes, I yearn for your help," Grail said respectfully, something swirling in her blood-red eyes.

Tony offered no comment, redirecting his attention to the Phoenix egg in his hand.

He wasn't foolish; he wouldn't help Grail get revenge. Completely falling out with Darkseid over a mere Grail was something only an idiot would do.

The Phoenix egg in Tony's hand emitted a soft glow.

Tony closed his eyes and sensed for a moment, regretfully discovering that there were no other Phoenix Fragments left in the Prime Universe. To collect more Phoenix Fragments, he would have to search in other universes.

"Great New God, I originally intended to seize this fragment as a gift for our meeting, but it seems that won't be necessary now," Grail said humbly.

"You are clever, and you are cunning. Darkseid has a very capable daughter, but unfortunately, this daughter deeply despises him," Tony said indifferently.

"I hope to receive your help, and for that, I am willing to pay any price!"

Grail quickly lowered herself further. Perhaps by coincidence, this angle perfectly showcased her figure, with large expanses of pale skin exposed from her chest, wrapped in a tight black battle suit, and her uplifted buttocks carving an astonishing curve.

Any man would feel a stir in their heart. This was Darkseid's daughter; aside from her distinctive blood-red eyes, her other physical features were entirely consistent with an Earthling.

Grail perfectly inherited the physique of the Amazons.

"Your worth is not enough," Tony uttered coldly. "No one will oppose Darkseid for your sake; the risk and reward are completely disproportionate."

Grail's body stiffened, then abruptly froze.

"If I were you, I wouldn't waste too much time searching for warriors. No one is willing to become a blade in your hand, because the reward is too little, and only he is an exception."

Tony pointed at the silent Thane. "This fellow is willing to be a blade in your hand, but this blade is too inferior; it would shatter with even a slight clash against Darkseid."

Thane's face showed an expression of defiance.

This was normal. Thane still had a clear understanding of the powerful beings in the Multiverse and the Sphere of the Gods. The current Thane couldn't even defeat his father, Thanos, let alone confront Darkseid.

He would instantly be blasted into smithereens.

"Then I beg you to tell me, how can I obtain the power of revenge!" Grail asked eagerly.

Tony stared at her for a moment, then stroked his chin. "I can help you, but you need to exchange your future!"

"One day in the future, I will find you. No matter how powerful you become then, you will need to serve me. This is fair."

Grail agreed without hesitation: "Of course, if you can grant me the power to defeat Darkseid, I will give my everything for you!"

Tony snorted coldly: "Cunning woman... If you want revenge on Darkseid, relying solely on accumulating divine power bit by bit yourself, it would be impossible in a lifetime. You can only do so by relying on powerful divine artifacts."

"Go to the Anti-Matter Universe. The divine artifact you need is there. I've already told you the location; as for whether you can obtain it, that depends on your own skill..."

After a long while, Grail took Thane and departed.

Tony watched their receding figures indifferently, the corners of his mouth twitching as if he wanted to smile.
