"I've learned everything about you, Tony. You're an extremely dangerous individual. I know your abilities, I'm familiar with your skills, but you know nothing about the me I am now." Batman strode forward, breaking into a run towards Tony while extending an arm.
On that steel arm, a metal panel immediately slid open, and a finger-sized bomb emerged from within, aiming and firing at Tony.
Boom!
The small bomb erupted with astonishing power. It was a new product from Wayne Enterprises, originally intended for sale to the Military. Unfortunately, due to budget considerations, the Military ultimately chose Stark Industries' Jericho Missile, and Wayne Enterprises' product was temporarily shelved. Now, Bruce was using this weapon against Tony.
The instant the explosion went off, Tony leaped to the side, narrowly avoiding the aftershock. In that lightning-fast moment, Batman seized the opportunity. He stomped hard on the ground, creating a tremendous noise as the armor's legs, under Bruce's control, unleashed immense power.
Mid-leap, Batman swept his other leg towards Tony. Time seemed to slow for a moment. Out of the corner of his eye, Tony watched the iron leg whip towards him like a lash, almost able to see the water droplets it kicked up being torn into a vacuum in the air.
One could imagine how terrifying the force of that kick was.
A cold, sharp look flashed across Tony's face. A stun baton had slid from his sleeve at some point. With a series of clicks and clacks, the stun baton reconfigured itself from the inside out. In a flash, countless parts flipped from its interior to its exterior, finally encasing one of Tony's legs tightly.
"It's true that my regular strength is just over half a ton, but that doesn't mean my full-power burst is also half a ton!"
Tony didn't dodge, nor did he need to. With a cold expression, he raised his own lower leg and clashed violently with the mid-air Batman once again! It was like two small mountains colliding head-on at high speed!
Bang!
Both were simultaneously thrown by the immense inertia, flying off in their respective directions.
This time, it was almost an even match. However, because Tony's own body weight was far less than the enhancement provided by the other's Armored Suit, he was knocked back farther.
Batman got back to his feet nonchalantly. The main body of the armor's shell was composed of Vibranium and Adamantium, which was enough for him to handle the vast majority of attacks with ease. Adamantium is indestructible, and Vibranium can absorb most forms of energy, including kinetic energy.
At least, the current Tony couldn't easily alter or Animate high-level metals on the level of Vibranium and Adamantium.
"The joints of this Armor are all tightly protected. It'll be a bit tricky to attack them," Tony mused silently, though he wasn't particularly worried.
He was a Mechanist, after all, and had no obvious weaknesses. All-around evolution was his greatest characteristic, and also his greatest advantage. This meant he couldn't be easily targeted!
While making Armor from Vibranium and Adamantium certainly had immense advantages that other armors could hardly match, it also had significant, hard-to-conceal disadvantages. For one, metals of this level could only be used to create the main chassis; the intricate and complex internal components couldn't be made from them. Just try replacing small, finely-polished parts with indestructible Adamantium.
If that were feasible, the future Iron Man would have long since replaced all his suits with Adamantium and Vibranium armors.
"Give up, Tony. I've made preparations for every possibility concerning you. Whether it's you yourself or the Transformer Legion you've created, I have meticulously calculated hundreds of combat scenarios and outcomes! If you surrender now, it will save a lot of trouble." Batman's hoarse voice emanated from the fully sealed Armor.
"Hehehe, me, surrender? Bruce Wayne, you think a bit too highly of your technological achievements! It's true I respect you, and although there are some things about you that really rub me the wrong way, I at least respect the principles you see through to the end... but that doesn't mean you're really that powerful. Maybe you will be in the future, but not now."
Tony shook his hands and casually Animated the stun baton into its Transformer state. The little Mini-bot stood in the rain, following at Tony's feet.
If he were truly facing a Batman from many years in the future, Tony would really have to seriously reconsider his chances. Mr. Wayne was most famous for a total of six suits. Besides the current Exoskeleton Armor, which had the highest appearance rate, and discounting the somewhat lackluster Rabbit Suit, the other four were each stronger and more outrageous than the last. However, their manufacturing difficulty was simply astronomical.
For example, the Thresher Suit, specifically built to handle world-class wars. Its armor could withstand ignition-point temperatures and extreme cold, and its semi-solid flowing micro-batteries could provide oxygen for weeks, allowing for direct combat in outer space. The even more terrifying Hellbat Suit was on another level entirely. That thing was a suit created for Batman by the combined efforts of all the members of the Justice League in their prime, with the founding members pouring all their skills into its creation. The suit's onboard computer alone could calculate attacks approaching the speed of light—it was unreasonably powerful and could be effective in Universe-level wars. The price, however, was an accelerated metabolism and a significant reduction in lifespan; using it a few times would be fatal.
"It's about time..." Tony thought to himself. The Allspark in his mind pulsed gently, and a short distance behind him, several Transformers instantly changed, converting into their battle modes.
Several giants, each several meters tall, strode in one by one. Even though the street was incredibly wide, it began to feel a bit crowded after the arrival of the Transformers.
"Bruce, let's see how you plan to deal with my Transformers!"
There were a full eight Transformers. Each of their two metal arms assembled into massive gun barrels, slowly aiming at the two-meter-plus tall Armored Suit. The rotating barrels emitted a low hum, looking as if they were about to unleash a hail of bullets to pin their target down.
"I told you, it's useless to use them against me. I've prepared far too many things for you," Bruce said.
As soon as he finished speaking, as if on cue, all the lights in the buildings and factories throughout Gotham City—be it the New City District or the Old City—extinguished at the exact same moment, as if someone had flipped a master switch.
The entirety of Gotham City plunged into darkness in an instant, causing an uproar among its countless citizens. The only exception was this area on the edge of the Old City.
In that moment, all the electricity from Gotham City, a metropolis of tens of millions, was being redirected by Bruce! An unimaginably vast amount of power was transmitted underground through pre-laid cables!
The ground instantly erupted with a powerful suction force. A few of the Transformers were pulled down with a thud, stuck fast to the ground! This magnetic pull was too strong; the massive Transformers were immediately pinned, making it extremely difficult for them to move.
"Magnets? Electromagnets? No wonder. You must have arranged all this underground long ago when you were doing major construction work here. No wonder this ground felt so strange; it was a layer of camouflage." Tony's expression was cold. "But this only slows my Transformers down. You'll become even slower. Once the Vibranium reaches its peak energy absorption, all it will take is a momentary opening. A Transformer would only need one punch to kill you. I don't believe the shock absorption in that Armor of yours is that perfect."
"Slowing them down is enough. Perhaps to many people, the machines you Animate always become indestructible, but they actually have a weakness that isn't a weakness... And this 'weakness that isn't a weakness' will be the cause of your utter defeat today!"
