# Chapter 34: Combat
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
Apocalypse was still asleep. This was truly terrible news, adding another troublesome individual to this already fragile world.
Tony was feeling anxious. Early the next morning, he sought out Professor X, hoping to learn combat and marksmanship at Xavier's School during this period.
"My combat and marksmanship are too poor. I'm at a great disadvantage in battles. I hope you can train me and make me stronger," Tony said.
Then Ororo took charge of training Tony. Originally, Cyclops would have been the best person for this teaching task, but unfortunately, Cyclops had been dispatched to gather information. He was under Professor X's orders to find someone.
Or rather, a wolf.
Cyclops was to find the man named Logan and bring him back to Xavier's School, because Professor X believed that Wolverine could become a very reliable comrade and was qualified to be a member of the X-Men.
This was also why Tony had never seen the renowned Mutant, Cyclops, from beginning to end; he had left long ago to search for Wolverine.
Tony maliciously wondered if Cyclops and Wolverine had already clashed even before competing for Jean's affections. It was entirely possible, especially considering the explosive tempers of both Cyclops and Wolverine – light a fuse and they'd blow up. Cyclops might barely manage to hold back, but Wolverine would absolutely fight rather than argue. After all, he couldn't be killed no matter how many times he was beaten over the past one or two centuries, so what was there to fear?
"Distracted during training, are we?" Ororo said, displeased. Seeing Tony's mind wander, she seized the opportunity, following a low sweep with an over-the-shoulder throw, slamming Tony hard onto the ground, leaving him dazed and disoriented.
Lying on the ground, Tony felt helpless. This scene had been repeated countless times. He had been cleanly taken down by Ororo so many times he'd lost count, feeling incredibly frustrated. He consoled himself repeatedly, thinking, "I'm meant for leading a Legion; unleashing war machines to wreak havoc is what I should be doing. Combat is just for temporary emergencies."
Then, refusing to admit defeat, he'd go all out again, only to be taken down once more.
The Allspark could continuously enhance his body, and even his neural reflexes were gradually strengthening, but this couldn't enhance his combat awareness or combat techniques. He often counterattacked in the most inefficient ways, getting his weaknesses exploited and being thrown around, ending up battered and bruised.
"How many times has it been today?" Ororo wiped the sweat from her forehead, looking at the Mechanist with a hint of amusement. He clearly possessed excellent physical attributes, yet he was so easily defeated. If external enemies were to see this, their jaws would surely drop.
"Exactly the thirtieth time! And he lasted five minutes longer than yesterday!"
Many people were watching nearby. Shadowcat Kitty was the most observant; she liked to keep track of time and was often the first to shout out the count, remembering it even more accurately than Tony himself.
The spectators cheered. These students had done nothing else these past few days but run to watch Tony get abused after classes, relishing every moment.
"I won! Pay up, pay up, ten dollars each!"
Pyro John was the most animated; he had bet that Tony could last longer and had won the wager.
The others looked sullen, muttering things like, "How is this possible?" "He must be cheating, there has to be an inside scoop," as they painfully pulled out their pocket money.
Tony's face darkened into lines. He sighed, lamenting the decline of public morality and the degeneration of human nature. A bunch of little brats openly gambling, and most importantly, the teachers pretended not to see it – beyond saving!
"Want to take a break?" Ororo mocked.
"Yes, a break, a break!" Tony responded repeatedly from the ground, shouting for a rest, while incessantly muttering things like, "So big..."
Ororo looked down and saw Tony staring intently at her chest. From that angle, it perfectly accentuated a full curve, complemented by long, shapely thighs...
Thwack!
With a heavy kick, Tony clutched his stomach, howling in pain.
Ororo remained calm, hooked a finger, and gestured for Tony to get up and continue.
The onlookers erupted, all bowing in admiration.
"What did I just see? He actually flirted with Ororo and didn't die?"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, impressive. He's truly a Mechanist."
They watched the spectacle from the sidelines, thoroughly amused.
Pyro John even publicly declared his admiration for Tony, saying, "He's truly the boss I've acknowledged! This courage, this audacity, this resilience – I'm sticking with him from now on."
Shadowcat and the other young girls unequivocally expressed their disdain for Tony.
…
During this period, Tony wasn't just training in combat and marksmanship; he also underwent blood tests and various other examinations by Jean and others. The results were now in.
"It's truly astonishing. I never imagined such results," Jean, an expert in this field, said, astounded this time as well. The report in her hand was detailed, covering every aspect.
Jean looked at Charles, Tony, and the others, and gravely announced the report's findings.
"According to the results, Tony's abilities are no longer limited to just Creation and control; his power has an even more astonishing scope. In all my years of research, I've never encountered an ability like this. You named it 'Allspark,' and it truly lives up to its name," Jean stated, expressing her surprise at the incredible and wondrous nature of this ability.
The Allspark not only grants Tony the ability to create Mechanical Soldiers but also comprehensively enhances all of his physical indicators, making it true evolution in every sense.
"Your ability allows you to grow constantly. Your Life Essence is slowly improving; it's incredibly comprehensive. The Allspark is like a flame that ignites everything, granting you infinite possibilities. For example, your Healing Factor."
Jean explained that although Tony's Healing Factor hadn't reached an exaggerated degree, it was undoubtedly very practical; some injuries only required one night's rest to fully recover.
This gave Tony even more formidable endurance. As long as the Allspark didn't run dry, he could fight until the very last moment.
Jean even felt a little jealous.
"You lucky bastard..." Ororo grumbled, unconvinced and full of envy.
Tony laughed heartily, bragging that he was just that lucky, that his good fortune was entirely due to his exceptional character. His smugness made everyone want to punch him, and Ororo actually did.
Finally, Charles put an end to the horseplay and asked Tony about his next plan.
Tony pondered for a moment before replying, "I'll stay here for a while longer to continue learning combat and marksmanship. Most importantly, I need to replenish my supply of Transformers until my Combat Power is maximized." Tony had originally wanted to ask Professor X for another batch of alloys and silver, but he ultimately didn't speak up. He wasn't that thick-skinned, nor was he that shameless.
This elder had already helped him too much; he didn't want to shamelessly demand more favors.
Tony took out a cell phone and handed it to Jean, asking if she could find out who had sent him messages. Jean replied that she could try.
Finally, Charles smiled and said that he would arrange something for Tony to do in his spare time: every other day, Tony would teach the children some things they couldn't normally learn at Xavier's School.
