Chapter 249

Chapter 245: What is Class? Can You Eat It?

In the vicinity of New York, the Brotherhood of Mutants successfully drew everyone's attention.

After several incredibly powerful Mutants made an appearance, it came as no surprise that some agencies went on high alert, mobilizing their limited personnel to prepare for a confrontation.

But soon after, the trouble-making members of the Brotherhood of Mutants vanished without a trace. A group of Mages emerged from the Spark and contacted them. No one knew what orders Magneto had given, but the Brotherhood's members entered the Spark one after another.

This happened in full public view, leaving countless people dumbfounded and frozen in place.

X-Men, Brotherhood of Mutants, Kamar-Taj, A.R.G.U.S., S.P.E.A.R., Diana…

Tony had contacted everyone he could, directly or indirectly, and they successively joined the war to conquer the Dark Dimension.

Here on the border of Hell, more and more forces began to gather: Mutants with strange appearances, Mages with grim expressions, and fully-armed warriors with Superpowers.

"Why not just contact the Three Great Reclusive Forces directly? It would be better to have them send their organized armies, wouldn't it?" Diana asked, puzzled.

"Because we need them to serve as Earth's last line of defense, in case we fail and the planet is left without any protective power. In fact, that's exactly what they've been doing for a very long time."

The Director of S.P.E.A.R., Zheng Xian, was a man who always wore a smile. However, compared to the Ancient One's warmth, the smile on his face was more like the mask of a politician.

This was his first time appearing at such an event. The stakes were so high that he, the Director, had come in person, and had even flown in the S.P.E.A.R. headquarters—that colossal ring-shaped airship.

Tony said in a low voice, "That's right. This is a gamble. If we succeed, we can eliminate Earth's Malignancy in one fell swoop. If we fail, at least we won't drag Earth down with us."

Many fell silent.

Most of them, in fact, were skeptical of this "Dormammu" they had never heard of. Could a super Monster capable of devouring planets really exist in this world?

Some of them had been brought here by Tony, like the X-Men. Others had come following the Ancient One, like S.P.E.A.R. and the soon-to-arrive Wizard Shazam.

Only when they saw Dormammu for themselves would they completely cast aside their doubts, but by that time, it would be a fight to the death.

"But don't worry, we're not fighting alone. There are unexpected reinforcements waiting in the wings," Tony said, a hint of anticipation on his face.

He had urged the Ancient One to seek help from that particular faction in the Universe. Based on his knowledge, not only would they not refuse, they would eagerly join in to help besiege Dormammu.

After chatting with everyone for a bit, Tony led several towering Transformers—like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Predaking, and Grimlock—to the front of the forces. In silence, he observed the Ancient One, Mordo, and the others as they inscribed the magic array.

He gave the Ancient One's back a deep look.

The Ancient One showed no reaction, continuing to cast spells at an astonishing speed, constructing the most stable Teleportation Array at the weakest point between the border of Hell and the Dark Dimension.

Mordo, however, did react. He turned, saw Tony, and shot him a fierce glare.

Mordo was also aware of their previous conversation and knew of Tony's ambition. Since the Ancient One had agreed, he naturally had no objections.

Actually, there were many details in this that could be further examined.

Mordo didn't know, but Tony did.

The Ancient One had survived until now entirely by secretly drawing on the Dark Power of the Dark Dimension to extend her life. Yet, the Ancient One had claimed that as long as Tony stayed on Earth, she would kill Dormammu for him.

Killing Dormammu, even with a large group of helpers, would be incredibly difficult. Even the Ancient One would have to pay a terrible price.

If she could kill Dormammu, wouldn't it be better for the Ancient One to take over the Dark Dimension herself? Why take the risk of giving it to Tony? Unless she was planning to decisively kill Tony if he succumbed to Corruption, and then calmly take over the Dark Dimension herself.

If Tony succeeded, Earth would gain another Level Seven Guardian—one who would be difficult to kill, being anchored to a Dimension.

As he thought about it, Tony shook his head. He really couldn't figure out what the Ancient One was thinking. He wanted the title of Sorcerer Supreme, he wanted the Dark Dimension, and he was determined to build his own Cybertron no matter what—that was his original goal.

"Worst comes to worst, I'll just build Cybertron directly in the Dark Dimension, or maybe turn the Solar System into a nine-planet system?" Tony mused.

With the Dark Dimension, he could advance or retreat as he pleased. He just needed to patiently absorb the Core Power of the Dark Dimension and lay low for a few years, or maybe a decade, and becoming Level Seven would be a matter of course.

With the enhancement of a powerful Dimension's Power, it would be unreasonable not to reach Level Seven.

It was a shortcut to the top.

As he was thinking, someone suddenly patted him on the back.

His body tensed instantly, and a portion of the explosive power contained within his muscles was inadvertently released. The moment the palm touched his shoulder, a repulsive force blasted out. Although not immense, it was enough to make an Ordinary Human with a less-than-sturdy Physique fall over.

Many people looked over at the sound, then quickly went back to their own business.

The restless young Wanda had gone to tease Tony again, and she was the one who got hurt.

"What on Earth did you eat growing up?" Wanda rubbed her wrist, sitting on the ground with a ferocious expression, looking as fierce as a little tigress.

"Why are you still here? Go back, quickly," Tony said with a slight frown, not mincing his words. "Your power is too weak. Even your brother has better survival skills than you."

The Scarlet Witch's Chaos Magic had not yet been developed. Chaos Magic was Wanda's Mutant Ability, and it was truly incredible. This Chaos Magic was somewhat similar to the Reality Stone, one of the Six Infinity Stones, as both could alter reality—for instance, turning a weapon into a wooden stick, or food into stone, illogically twisting the Matter of reality.

It would be difficult, extremely difficult, for Wanda to participate in a war of this scale. The probability of her dying in battle was very high.

"I don't need to! I have Liana to protect me!" Wanda's mood soured when she saw that Tony had no intention of helping her up. For some reason, she could never get the upper hand with Tony, because the bastard had absolutely no class.

Wanda ground her teeth, her jaw clenched tight. "Do you have no class at all? Treating a lady so crudely?"

"What is class? Can you eat it?" Tony said with a look of indifference, casually pointing to the side at a bruised and swollen Quicksilver. "He has plenty of class, and look at the mess his old man beat him into."

At that moment, the Chunibyo youth's hair was a mess, his nose was bleeding, and his clothes were tattered. He looked just like a refugee, drawing stares from the crowd.

Among them, Quicksilver's old acquaintance, Sabretooth, was even loudly mocking and jeering at him.

"This is all your fault!!!" Quicksilver instantly flew into a rage, roaring at Tony. He then stole a glance at Magneto, who was just as bruised and swollen.

Oh, and Magneto's injuries were from a beating by Diana.
