"We're close. We've found the entrance and are figuring out how to get in," said Professor X. "Tony, stop Magneto. Don't let him kill any more innocent people."
After saying this, Professor X's Psychic Power withdrew from Tony's mind.
Tony controlled his Transformer Legion and began rescuing the surviving civilians. Their vast numbers, along with a constantly growing stream of new Transformers, gave Tony enough manpower to save some people.
Magneto overheard Tony's muttering and was somewhat stunned.
"Is Charles talking to you? How can that be? I tampered with his Cerebro. He shouldn't be able to use his powers yet!"
Targeting his old friend Professor X was something Magneto had arranged before this operation began. Logically, with his brain so heavily affected, Professor X shouldn't have been able to use his powers proficiently for a short while.
Mystique had personally infiltrated Xavier's School to handle it, so there could be no mistake.
"Don't you get it yet? Right now, you and I are just here to attract attention, to buy time for Professor X and the others," Tony said calmly.
"Buy time? What are you trying to do?" A bad premonition rose in Magneto's heart.
For Professor X to go to the trouble of bypassing him to do something else, that something must be very important.
"Relax, it's not to deal with you... you're not worthy of such a grand operation. Several of the people I've found could swat you dead with a single slap. But for now, let's put on a good show. It's rare to get a chance to be broadcast live worldwide."
Tony spread his arms. Beneath his feet, Predaking began to roar wildly. On the ground, a huge crowd of Transformers also grew restless, surging toward Magneto.
Those without flight capabilities simply piled on top of each other. A massive number of Transformers stacked themselves up wildly, climbing one after another. They brandished a multitude of weapons—mostly melee weapons, with a few attacking directly with Energy Weapons.
Magneto snorted coldly. He felt he had been completely fooled. Although he didn't know what trick Tony was playing, he felt like an idiot and was successfully enraged.
A leader—especially one whose personality had grown more extreme with age—is terrifying when angered.
Terrifying power erupted from Magneto's aged body. Countless Transformers that had been active a second ago froze in place the next.
The Spark Energy Particles and Magnetokinesis, two Level Four powers, simultaneously had a huge impact on the Transformers' Metal Bodies. You could even see the bodies of some Transformers converted from small gadgets visibly tearing apart.
Magneto beckoned again, and the massive Statue of Liberty shuddered for an instant.
Made of metal materials like steel and copper, the Statue of Liberty was, of course, within Magneto's range of control.
A metal arm was torn right off and used by Magneto as a makeshift weapon. It shot at an astonishing speed toward Tony's frozen Transformer Legion.
At that moment, many people watching this scene couldn't help but curse out loud.
The Statue of Liberty, a spiritual symbol for countless people, was dismantled like a toy in front of two Level Four Mutants.
And it seemed neither side cared in the slightest, completely unconcerned with trivial matters like symbols of culture and spirit.
Those were issues for artists to consider, not for a troublemaking Magneto and Tony.
Those Transformers, which seemed so overwhelmingly powerful to civilians, were swept aside by this massive, artistic arm. It easily smashed through several hundred meters, turning a large number of Transformers into scrap metal on the spot.
A mere arm became a crowd-clearing weapon in Magneto's hands.
Whooshing sounds echoed continuously. The immense force of the arm caused fiery friction with the air as it moved at high speed. Some of the smashed Transformers, after being actively abandoned by Tony, were also controlled by Magneto and turned into new combat weapons.
Of course, the Transformer Legion wouldn't just sit and wait for death. Under Tony's control, they saturated the area with firepower. Large quantities of pre-prepared explosives were thrown out, blowing up many Transformers that were close to the Statue of Liberty's arm.
An arm made of ordinary materials, even under Magneto's control, would be blown to bits.
Magneto just smiled faintly. Numerous metal fragments instantly floated up, cobbling themselves together amid a clanging and banging sound to immediately form an even larger one.
Although it looked hideous, like a shoddily patched-together imitation, in Magneto's hands, it became a terrifying weapon.
"How boring, Erik. You're increasingly becoming the King of Scrap Iron." Tony narrowed his eyes and casually used the surging Allspark to cover and invade the metal arm. In an instant, he fused the energy of all its molecules and atoms, fighting with Magneto for control.
"I've saved a new position for you at A.R.G.U.S.: Director of the Garbage Collection Department. How about it? We can be flexible on the salary," Tony taunted with ill intent.
Magneto snorted coldly.
If he could directly control the elements and magnetic field of Tony's body, he would have acted long ago. But that was useless. Tony had long since used the Allspark to completely seal his body, inside and out, leaving Magneto with no way to get a grip on him.
This was a frustrating and humiliating situation. Magneto, unable to control a magnetic field?
The fierce battle continued. Even without using their full strength, the two Level Four Mutants were terrifying. Swaths of buildings collapsed. A single move could cause an entire area to fall into ruin. The millions of cars in New York City became Tony's cannon fodder, sent to the battlefield without a second thought.
And this was with Tony deliberately guiding the battlefield toward the sea.
Many of the citizens rescued by Tony's Transformers were overcome with gratitude. Their still-panicked faces were filled with the thankfulness of having survived a catastrophe.
Magneto must be the evil one. As for Tony, with his record of more than one rescue, he had become a savior in the eyes of the citizens—one of the Righteous Heroes who stood up to stop evil.
This was also a source of frustration for many politicians. No matter what kind of public opinion they tried to manufacture, there was always a group of civilians loyal to Tony, cheering him on.
After once again bringing rescued citizens to a safe place, Spider-Man hurried back to the battlefield. There were still more people there who needed his help.
Taking a moment, Spider-Man looked up at the two people fighting in the sky. The terrifying, overwhelming pressure made his head roar, and his Spider-Sense screamed wildly, warning him of their danger.
"This is terrifying. Having to help the less evil of two bad guys... I wonder what Ben would choose if he were here."
Spider-Man had a headache. He looked helplessly at the sky, resigned to waiting for the outcome of the battle. The moment anything changed, he would use his agility to rush in. Whether it was to land a quick hit and run, or to carry the defeated Tony away, either would be a good move.
However, he had clearly miscalculated, because no matter how the battle's situation evolved, there would be no need for Spider-Man to rush in and risk his life.
Because a more terrifying woman, looking at the trail of ruins and the grieving civilians, had accumulated rage to its absolute peak. Her figure, moving at high speed, was astonishing. She could easily surpass the speed of a sports car, and every leap covered a distance of several hundred meters.
Her clearly archaic attire, her two well-rounded thighs on display, and the sword and shield in her hands were extremely eye-catching.
For such a female warrior to appear in this modern setting was truly astounding.
"You're finished, Old Man Magneto. I warned you, you're going to get yourself killed." Tony shook his head regretfully with a mournful expression, as if he were heartbroken at the thought of losing Magneto as an opponent.
A terrifying woman, carrying a suppressed anger and radiating killing intent, was rushing over. Facing this woman who was a natural-born Demigod, Tony truly believed that Magneto was going to be beaten to death.
