Chapter 184

Chapter 182: Megatron (2)

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

Tony's casual remark angered countless people.

Many high-ranking Military officials were so angry they smashed their glasses.

"Outrageous! How can such a person be in the army? What does he take military discipline for?!"

"Send this guy to a Military Tribunal immediately! We absolutely cannot let him off the hook!"

Many important figures were enraged. The more hot-tempered ones started cursing directly, threatening to teach that bastard Tony a lesson. While they couldn't do anything about his combat power, he had joined the system! He held a position within the Military!

"It's useless," someone remarked coolly and sarcastically. "Although Tony holds the rank of Major, his official title is Military Advisor. He's more of a scientist than a soldier. The Super-Soldier Program can't proceed without the technology he provides."

What exactly is a Military Advisor? Let's put it this way: basically, the chairman of any company involved in weaponry can get the title of Military Advisor in the Military. For example, Tony, Wayne, or Hammer.

Trying to threaten Tony with that title is completely useless. The Military Tribunal is just for show. Even if they pass a sentence, who could possibly capture Tony?

Tony had no time to waste on their nonsense; he dismissed them with a "magic trick."

He needed to create Megatron as another powerful combatant for himself as soon as possible. He already had the strength to deal with various unexpected incidents in the secular world, so naturally, he didn't need to be too concerned. Travel was more convenient, and completing his combat system had become a logical next step.

The cobbled-together aircraft was completely incapable of handling a difficult battle and needed to be reforged.

Using the most recently developed metal.

Type II Metal.

The research on Type II Metal had consistently failed to satisfy Tony. He wanted to combine the Regenerative Ability of Dionysium with the hardness of Adamantium, ideally preserving the strengths of both, but unfortunately, he had repeatedly met with setbacks.

Type I Metal was already the peak state that Dionysium could achieve. Both its hardness and toughness had nearly reached their limits. Although the Regenerative Ability was very useful, if it came at the cost of the metal's defense and ductility, then creating it would be meaningless.

On the battlefield, if a Transformer's body shatters with a single hit, what's the damn point of a limited Regenerative Ability? He might as well just create a group of undead human warriors.

To combine the hardness and toughness of Secondary Adamantium, the elemental structure of the Type I Metal had to be upgraded and added to, but unfortunately, it would shatter as soon as anything was added.

Type I Metal was already usable. At the very least, it was a metal that could take a one-ton force head-on without sustaining damage.

But it was still a bit short of Tony's expectations. He wanted to create a Metal Body that could withstand a 6,000-degree, high-temperature, armor-piercing round without damage. It absolutely couldn't be as pathetic as depicted in the movies.

The moment he arrived home, his family members were already waiting for him with joy.

As the aircraft in the sky slowly descended, the immense downward thrust it generated blew the neat lawn into disarray. It was a chaotic mess again. Many of the newly planted blades of grass were simply blown over, some with their roots exposed.

A powerful airflow, centered on the ostentatious and domineering aircraft, spread outwards, forcing people to squint their eyes.

Tony walked down from the aircraft, immediately spreading his arms wide. He looked at his family members with a beaming smile, his expression one of satisfaction.

Except for that old codger, the Old Bartender, who had restlessly run off to hunt Vampires with Blade and Whistler after they called for him, everyone else was standing here, all present and accounted for, completely unharmed.

If anyone had truly been missing, Tony really would have killed people. He would have made heads roll and used countless rivers of blood to Purge everyone. Some things are useless to talk about, but with enough corpses, you can always make the problem clear.

Death is the most persuasive thing of all.

"Did any cannon fodder come knocking?"

Tony opened his arms, and Betty had already stepped forward to give him a gentle hug. Max also watched emotionally, rendered speechless. This honest man was filled with immense guilt and self-blame. If something had truly happened to Tony, he could only have embarked on a path of crazed vengeance before following Tony in death.

"Sir, you're alright. That's wonderful. I feel so sorry, I'm sorry..."

"Don't say that, Max. I just went on a little trip, that's all. I'm safe and sound."

Tony smiled and turned his gaze to Crane.

Crane gave a gentle smile. "Only a few fools who were sent here to die came knocking. They've all been dealt with, and even their bodies have been destroyed."

Tony nodded slightly, a satisfied expression on his face. This was the correct course of action. If they dared to show up, kill them directly. Kill them one batch at a time. Once everyone is dead, no one will come anymore.

What bullshit about capturing them alive? That's not an option. There is only death.

"Open the Underground Laboratory immediately. I need to create a new Transformer and resume research on Type II Metal." After exchanging a few pleasantries with everyone, Tony spoke directly, getting everyone to move and prepare all the miscellaneous small tasks as quickly as possible.

Megatron, as the future leader of the Decepticons and another heavyweight from Cybertron on par with Optimus Prime, no amount of attention was too much. If he didn't lay a solid foundation now, was he supposed to do last-minute research when he needed him? Or wait until the planet Cybertron was established?

It would be too late by then, and Tony couldn't wait that long.

His intuition told him that he could step over the threshold to Level Four at any moment; he just needed to pierce that final layer of paper. At the very latest, after he learned the relevant knowledge from the Sorcerer Supreme, he would surely understand his own abilities and formally cross the threshold.

The barrier between Level Three and Level Four was both simple and difficult. The most important thing was a kind of spiritual and cognitive clarity—the ability to have a deeper understanding of one's own powers and to begin to discern their fundamental truths.

A Level Four could destroy a planet; Professor X and Magneto were examples of this. Besides their talent, they possessed a superhuman perception and analysis of their innate abilities. It was as if a kind of spiritual and soul-level clarity had triggered a change in their Potential, increasing the capacity of their 'bottle' and allowing their powers to improve as a matter of course.

And Tony himself had already briefly experienced the Level Four tier—although the price was staggering, requiring him to burn the Allspark as fuel and overdraft his future.

That kind of perception, which could intricately combine a macroscopic overview and a microscopic-level examination of his own abilities, was captivating. It was a completely different feeling from the crudeness of Level Three.

The great doors of the Underground Laboratory slowly opened. The others had already prepared all the materials. After pondering for a moment, Tony slowly walked inside.
