Chapter 177

Chapter 175: The King

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

"I'm really curious, how do you know so much about Kamar-Taj... Could it be that you are also a disciple of the Sorcerer Supreme?"

Kaecilius waved his hand, and the very ground the two stood on began to tilt at a ninety-degree angle. It was as if gravity had failed in an instant; the world was now under the control of the sneering Kaecilius.

With a cold expression, Tony smashed a fist into the ground and gripped it tightly. Only after the ground beneath his feet became a vertical wall did Tony let go, jumping down. He commanded his Transformers to jump as well, landing on what was originally the wall of a skyscraper.

The heavy Transformers slammed onto the former skyscraper's wall, causing cracks to appear.

Everything in this dimension was under Kaecilius's control. Modifying the laws of gravity is the most basic ability of a Mirror Dimension master. From this, one could see just how terrifying this super spatial magic developed by the Sorcerer Supreme was; it was, to a certain extent, control over an entire world or dimension.

"Hehehe, you found me out... Actually, I'm the Sorcerer Supreme's illegitimate son."

Tony sneered, anxiety growing in his heart as his many Transformers launched a direct attack. Several Transformers charged forward, ready to kill Kaecilius amidst the heavy clamor of metal.

Unfortunately, a wall suddenly folded over, engulfing these Transformers. They fired upwards, and with a series of thunderous explosions, the wall was easily destroyed. The Transformers leaped out, covered in dust.

"It's useless. Once you're in the Mirror Dimension, don't even think about leaving alive. From the moment you rejected the great Dormammu, death was your only path."

Kaecilius waved his arms, releasing even more Mystic Energy.

Countless skyscrapers folded over one another like a boundless roller, rolling horizontally across the ground and crushing the Transformers into Allspark Fragments.

Tony's expression turned even uglier.

In this Mirror Dimension, everything was controlled by the enemy. Every building, every street, was manipulated by Kaecilius at will. What was even more terrifying was that Kaecilius could also use magic to multiply and replicate fixed structures, endlessly stacking and reinforcing buildings to crush everything.

Escaping was also simple; he just needed to open a portal himself. Portal magic was a basic spell of Kamar-Taj, a slick and efficient life-saving technique prepared specifically for novice mages.

But how the hell would Tony know how to do that damn thing?

If he had the chance to study this kind of teleportation magic, he would have reverse-engineered the Autobots' GroundBridge Technology by now, instead of racking his brains studying the principles of magic.

"It's a pity. I don't know why they value you so much. The Sorcerer Supreme even gave me a letter to pass on to you... You might not know this, but not long ago, a Great Demon set its sights on Earth, but was repelled by the Sorcerer Supreme."

Kaecilius spoke as if to himself, but his right hand never stopped its attempts to corner Tony. Every time Tony tried to find an opportunity to rush over and kill him, or cover him with long-range firepower, countless skyscrapers would suddenly rotate ninety degrees horizontally to block the way, or Kaecilius himself would simply sink into the ground and reappear from another direction.

Fighting an Archmage from Kamar-Taj in the Mirror Dimension was foolish no matter how you looked at it. And someone like Tony, who had no knowledge of magic, didn't even know how he had been tricked into the Mirror Dimension in the first place.

The number of Transformers continued to dwindle, crushed into thin sheets.

"So you took the letter and gave it directly to Dormammu? You traitor, the Sorcerer Supreme won't let you get away with this."

"She'll have to find me first. Dormammu has imbued me with very powerful magic." Kaecilius wore an irritating smile. "I gave you many chances, but you refused them all. What's so bad about following Dormammu? As long as we let the great Dormammu pull Earth into the Dark Dimension, all sadness will disappear, all regrets will vanish, and everyone can live forever in blissful existence within the Dark Dimension."

Despite his words, his attacks never paused for a moment, each one aimed at killing Tony.

Tony grew anxious. Was the New York Sanctum really this useless? He was attacked by Kaecilius right under their noses, and they hadn't noticed after all this time?

"Why does everyone want to recruit me?" Tony asked, trying to stall for time as he leaped to another wall. His two steel claws slammed into the wall one after another, allowing him to cling to it like a gecko and rapidly climb upwards, dodging the ground that was rolling up to crush him from below.

"I'm curious about that as well, but it doesn't matter anymore. You're going to die here anyway. Don't think about stalling for time, you can't escape..."

Tony glanced coldly at Kaecilius and tried to sense the Transformer Legion he had left in the outside world, but the connection was very faint. Even the crudest dimension was still an independent, co-existing space. If the Sorcerer Supreme's magic was so easily broken, it would be far too weak.

Under Tony's control, a few Transformers frantically smashed a path forward, dodging another attack. But as they ducked into the opening, the walls on all four sides began to close in. Tony and his Legion barely managed to escape in a sorry state.

Looking up, he couldn't even tell how many skyscrapers and pieces of ground were tumbling towards him anymore. Kaecilius had long since vanished, disappearing completely into this malformed, rolling world.

Everything in all directions began to rotate, rumbling towards Tony at the center, as if the entire world had become his enemy, bent on putting him to death.

Suddenly, through the perception of the Allspark particles Tony had spread out, a different portal was opened. Dazzling sparks formed a circle, creating a pattern that was like a heavenly vision in Tony's eyes.

Wong, a portly, round man, stepped through the circle with several others.

Through the portal, the scene outside could be seen: the interior of a building.

"Kaecilius, you traitor! You lackey of Dormammu, you have betrayed the Sorcerer Supreme!" The leader, Wong, was a portly man whose serious expression held an unconcealable comedic air.

But Kaecilius was long gone, having sensed something was wrong at some point and secretly slipped away. After all, leaving this world was just a matter of drawing a portal, which was simply far too easy.

Wong frantically commanded the other mages, and by using their magic in unison, they managed to restore the constantly rolling and twisting world to normal, or at least maintain a state of static stability.

Tony led his few remaining Transformers, watched cautiously for a moment, and then hurried over.

"Hey! Hurry!" Wong waved vigorously at Tony. "This space has become very unstable! It's about to collapse!"
