Chapter 905 Zatanna Reappears

Only then did everyone shift their gaze to the girl who had been silent all along. They had actually noticed her long ago.

This was not surprising. This girl, following behind Mr. Zatara, possessed a beauty no less than any woman present, and even had an indescribable mysterious aura about her, which further enhanced her charm.

"My name is Zatanna Zatara."

Facing the simultaneous gazes of so many people, Zatanna showed no stage fright. Instead, she introduced herself in a composed and generous manner.

"You can call me Zatanna or Little Zat, and you should be able to tell from my surname that I am Mr. Zatara's daughter."

In fact, even if Zatanna hadn't pointed it out, everyone could tell that she and Zatara had an extraordinary relationship. They both had rare black-purple hair, and their taste in clothing was also similar.

"Little Zat is not only my daughter, but also one of my apprentices."

Zatara added with a smile from the side, the pride in his tone overflowing.

"Little Zat is my most outstanding apprentice. Even in my prime, I was far less excellent than her at the same stage. After watching your virtual training recording last time, I realized that magic is your biggest shortcoming right now."

"In addition, this mission is after all closely related to magic, so I think with Little Zat's joining, you should be able to become even more powerful."

Dick nodded. Their team indeed lacked an expert in magic. The only two who could be considered to have some understanding of magic were Troy and Jackson, but they could only be considered amateurs. He was more than happy to have a magic expert join them proactively.

But obviously, not everyone thought the same way as him. Just like there are always some people who are superstitious about mysticism in this world, there are also many people who are superstitious about science, such as Wally.

"Really? A magician?" Wally whispered as he leaned closer to Dick. "Our team doesn't need a vase who can only pull rabbits out of a hat."

"Come on, buddy." Dick rolled his eyes. "It's already the 21st century, and the Justice League has been established for several years. How can you still not believe in the existence of magic? You don't believe Mr. Zatara is also a charlatan, do you?"

"Of course not." Wally hurriedly waved his hand. "Isn't Mr. Zatara just someone with superpowers who deliberately packages himself as a magician? I remember his identity in reality is a magician. I think he should be doing this for higher popularity, right?"

Dick was amused by him. He joked with a smile, "I've only heard of people who are superstitious about mysticism before, but this is the first time I've seen someone who is superstitious about science. Do you guys have any churches? If you do, who do you worship? Newton?"

Habby, who was standing right behind them, couldn't help but complain in his heart. In his opinion, the science of the DC Universe was not realistic either, so the pot should not call the kettle black.

Obviously, the whispers between the two not only attracted Habby's gaze. Children always like to pay more attention to their peers. Zatanna had been observing this team she was about to join.

Among everyone, Wally and Dick, who had been whispering while her father was speaking, attracted her attention the most. Out of curiosity, even though she knew it was not good, Zatanna still secretly used magic to eavesdrop on their whispers.

Although she didn't hear everything, Zatanna still heard Wally's words of distrust towards magic.

Zatanna had received the most traditional old-fashioned magic family education since she was a child. Although Mr. Zatara was relatively open-minded, preventing Zatanna from becoming someone who believed in magic supremacy, she still felt unhappy when the things she had learned since childhood were questioned.

The current Zatanna was not as steady as she would be when she grew up. Moreover, she had hung out with Constantine for a while before, which made her even more mischievous.

With a hint of a mischievous smile, Zatanna secretly drew a circle with the index finger of her right hand behind her back, and muttered a few words in a low voice. An almost imperceptible wave quietly swam from behind her towards Wally.

Wally naturally couldn't detect the fluctuations of magic, but this little action was obviously not hidden from Mr. Zatara. However, he naturally chose to turn a blind eye to his daughter's little prank.

It was also a good opportunity to teach those two brats who were not listening carefully a lesson.

Wally, who had just finished communicating his worldview with Dick, was about to shut up when he felt someone tapping his shoulder with an index finger. He remembered that Habby was standing behind him, so he subconsciously asked in his heart.

'What's wrong, Habby?'

But to Wally's surprise, no one responded to him. Wally was not a patient person. Not getting a reply, he immediately rotated his head to look back.

However, the first thing Wally saw when he turned his head was not Habby's familiar mutant face, but an outrageously large spider, and it was right in front of him. Wally could even see the fangs of the spider dripping with venom.

Wally's goosebumps erupted all over his body, and the Speed Force was activated to its limit in an instant. In less than a second, he rushed to the corner of the hall. About a second later, his scream finally arrived belatedly.

"Ah!"

The Speedster's behavior startled the unprepared children. They looked around and then discovered Wally hiding behind the sofa.

"So, what happened again?" Artemis frowned, feeling inexplicably embarrassed by Wally's behavior.

"Hehe."

Zatanna was naturally very happy to see her prank succeed. Just as everyone was feeling confused, Mr. Zatara stood up to explain.

"Wally was whispering something just now, so Little Zat pranked him a little. Okay, Little Zat, stop laughing and apologize to Wally."

"Sorry, I didn't expect you to be so scared by an illusion."

Zatanna explained with a smile, but the more she explained, the more embarrassed Wally felt.

"Alright, let's return to the mission."

Batman's cold voice ended all topics. Everyone immediately became quiet, listening attentively like a group of students with their hands behind their backs.

"As for the minor details of magic, you can wait until you are on the mission to let Zatanna explain them to you. The Justice League's assessment of the difficulty of this mission is not considered high, so I agree with your approach of splitting into two groups."

"So, how do you decide to group?"

"I'll lead one team, and Jackson will lead the other." Dick said the distribution they had just discussed. "As for the members, we haven't discussed it yet."

"Ten minutes, discuss everything and then come back to report to me." Batman said.

"If the scheduled time is exceeded, then Mr. Kent's mission will be reassigned to the Justice League, and the Young Justice League will focus on Red Arrow and Dr. Roggett's mission."

"It won't take ten minutes." Dick said confidently.
