Chapter 879 Saint Prisca Does Not Welcome Justice Landing
Perhaps many are unaware, but the Justice League is indeed a legitimate organization, at least in most nations on Earth.
The increasing number of super villains, the menacing alien invaders, and the various strange gods, all contribute to the legality of the Justice League.
Because of their repeated, solid achievements, the general public is willing to believe that the heroes of the Justice League are on their side, and that they are indeed fighting for a better tomorrow for Earth.
However, the common people don't need to think so much, but the higher-ups of various nations cannot be like this. They have to consider some things that might happen, even if they are unlikely to.
The Justice League has developed rapidly in recent years. Even if the initial *tycoons* were indeed reassuring, who knows if there are people who joined later with their own agendas?
While granting legality to the Justice League, the United Nations must also consider whether there will be a *rat* in this organization in the future. Therefore, the Justice League will inevitably have many restrictions.
For example, the teleporter of the Watchtower, except for a few nations that have signed relevant treaties, the Justice League is not allowed to use this device for international travel.
This is very strange. Superheroes' movements using their own abilities are basically unregulated. You can go wherever you want, but the teleporter is not allowed.
Nations that want to get rescue at the first time in emergency naturally signed the treaties, while nations with their own concerns naturally prevaricated. Saint Prisca Island is naturally among them.
"I still don't understand why some nations would refuse this treaty!"
Wally's emotion was a little unstable. If they weren't on Megan's Bio-Ship, he might have jumped up in anger.
"Not all nations operate in the order we recognize." Dick opened the microcomputer and brought up the information about Saint Prisca Island that Batman had given them.
"There are still many nations in this world that rely on things that can't be put on the table. Take Saint Prisca for example, this island has a small area and is not rich in resources."
"If it were hundreds of years ago, the people here could still rely on nature to be self-sufficient, but after entering modern society, human needs began to increase. Simply being full is no longer enough to meet a person's daily life needs."
"Backward facilities and scarce resources, the education level of the people of Saint Prisca Island Country is generally not high. Most people cannot adapt to life outside the island, and even if they leave their hometown, they cannot get high-paying work."
"Before this, Saint Prisca Island basically could only rely on tourism, but the income brought by tourism can only be described as a drop in the bucket. At this time, Bane came here with his factory. Tell me, if you were a Saint Prisca human, what choice would you make?"
"You mean..." Wally opened his opening with difficulty. The young man born in Blue Valley Town and living in Central City could not say the second half of the words.
"This nation is sheltering criminals." The Bat-kid who fought in Gotham said it for him. "The whole nation is doing this. They need this industry that brings them hope, even if it is Venom that harms the world."
"Before, it might have been unnecessary, because Saint Prisca was a godforsaken aspect. Even the previous Beastification Event did not affect here at all. Crime would not cause chaos here."
"Now it is impossible, because of livelihood, so Saint Prisca people do not allow justice to land."
After everyone read Bane's memory, this sentence can basically be understood in some time, but sometimes people will subconsciously choose to ignore something. Dick just said out the things they ignored.
Silence fell into the aircraft again. Sometimes the facts are so unacceptable.
"So Batman needs a team that is not so eye-catching to secretly land on Saint Prisca, and he just wants us to investigate instead of destroying this aspect."
Jackson was very smart and immediately deduced the answer by analogy.
"He guessed it long ago that the Venom factory has been entangled with the nation of Saint Prisca, but why didn't he tell us directly?"
"Maybe he doesn't want us to bear all this," Megan said with an uneasy expression.
"Maybe you don't know, because I'm not used to humans' way of communication, I sometimes unconsciously use my ability. Of course, I will quickly take it back after I realize it, but sometimes I can still feel the emotion of the people around me."
"The things Batman exudes are very... painful, but he is always very gentle when he is around us, so I think he shouldn't want us to know these things."
Dick lowered his head. As someone who gets along with Batman day and night, he felt that Megan was right. If they were really just investigating the reason for the closure of the factory, then they would not be able to find out about this level of content. If there were no subsequent emergencies, they would indeed not know so much.
"My brain is going to be eroded by those dark things!" Wally scratched his head irritably. "Don't think about so many things first. Since Batman doesn't want us to know, let them solve it. What we have to do now is to rescue *Habby*!"
"Kid Flash is right," Troy stood up. "Amazonians do not have the custom of abandoning comrades, and I don't intend to learn this bad habit. Since there is no way to ask adults for help, then we will rescue him ourselves."
"Calm down, Donna," Jackson held Troy back. "There are not only the twenty enhanced human we saw there. If we anger the opponent, they may create many enhanced human. You must know that they have a factory that is constantly running."
Troy did not speak, but raised her hand and showed the armbands flashing with silver light on her wrist to everyone.
"The armbands forged by Hephaestus, they can suppress my strength. Although Diana took me out of Paradise Island, she also signed many treaties for me to abide by."
"One of them is that I cannot use my full power outside the island. This is to punish my sin of abusing power before."
"That is to say, what you showed before was not your full strength?" Wally suddenly felt that demigods were all monsters.
"But, if these are shackles to punish you, then we can't take them off either."
"You are wrong, Kid Flash," Troy shook her head. "These armbands are not impossible to take off. Considering my safety, Diana fought for privilege for me. If the situation is an emergency, then I can take off these armbands."
"After all, the gods only ask me to atone, not to let me die."
