Chapter 878 I Surrender
The battle was over before it even began. Don't misunderstand, this wasn't because Yang Le defeated Mammoth, nor was it Mammoth who defeated Yang Le, but because Yang Le performed a French Military Salute in front of everyone.
"I surrender." Yang Le deactivated his fusion form and raised his hands, choosing to surrender very straightforwardly.
His choice surprised everyone present. After all, the air had been thick with a tense atmosphere earlier, and they all thought they were about to witness a brutal, hand-to-hand battle. No one expected that one side would choose to surrender.
Even Sportsmaster, who was watching the battle from the flying vehicle, hadn't anticipated this.
Yang Le didn't know what others were feeling, but Mammoth in front of him was clearly about to explode with anger.
"Bang!" Mammoth stomped his foot on the ground surface, veins bulging all over his body, his bloodshot eyes fixed on Yang Le, who had shrunk considerably.
"Are you kidding me!" These words were practically squeezed out. Mammoth spoke through gritted teeth, which were grinding together with a grating sound, clearly enraged to the extreme.
It was like finding good content, just getting ready to enjoy it, only to find the video page refreshed, and then the video disappeared, replaced by small text. In short, Mammoth was about to burst with frustration.
"I'm not kidding." Yang Le pretended to be calm, but his inner heart was already bursting with laughter. "I'm no match for all of you, and besides, my mission to stop you from advancing has already been accomplished. There's no need to continue a battle that would only increase casualties."
Mammoth huffed and puffed, breathing heavy breaths, looking like a bull.
"Aren't you afraid I'll kill you! I warn you to take back what you said, and fight me right now!"
"You won't." Yang Le revealed a smile that said he had everything under control. "You don't have the right to kill me, minion."
As soon as this taunt was uttered, Mammoth, who had been like a volcano, suddenly calmed down, as if frozen in place.
The word "minion" reminded Mammoth's underdeveloped brain of his identity. He was just a thug adopted by the Cobra Cult, and above the Cobra Cult was a behemoth that a guy of his level wasn't qualified to know about.
Although he didn't know what it was, he could tell from the subservient attitude King Kobra, whom he considered omnipotent, showed when he occasionally spoke with them, that those people could crush him as easily as crushing an ant.
This was what his sister Glimmer had told him. Unlike himself, who could only rely on his body to find a way out, his sister had a very good brain, so he had always listened to his sister since he was a child.
'My mission is just to capture him. I'm not qualified to decide the target's death.'
Having figured this out, Mammoth lowered his hands, turned around, and ordered the others to tie up Yang Le and take him back to King Kobra for processing.
Hearing Mammoth's order, Yang Le smiled slightly. It seemed the Illuminati guys had already discovered the trap he had set. He had to admit, although he didn't know who exactly was in the Illuminati, anyone Lex Luthor acknowledged as a partner was definitely not bad.
So, when setting the trap, Yang Le used the Changeling's ability. In this information age, using the Changeling's ability to fabricate an electronic file was very simple. Even someone as clever as Lex Luthor would never be able to see through it.
Therefore, from the attitude of this big and stupid Mammoth towards him, he could see that the Illuminati had definitely discovered his value now. Even if others thought he was useless, Lex Luthor, who always liked to clone superhuman, would definitely make a move on him.
'Fallen for my plan.' Yang Le thought to himself smugly, but on the face, he remained calm, letting the cultists lock him up with shackles, and then carry him towards the processing plant.
On the way, bored Yang Le was thinking, 'Those children should be on the return flight by now, right?'
…At the same time, as Yang Le had expected, the children of the Young Justice team had indeed boarded the airplane, but they were not on a return flight.
Under Miss Martian's maneuver, the Bio-Ship stopped in the sky behind the clouds not far from Santa Prisca Island, and at the same time, invisibility ability was activated, maximizing safety.
The people sitting in the Bio-Ship had long since broken free from Yang Le's mind control. At this moment, they were sitting in their positions with expressions of self-isolation. This silence had lasted for several minutes.
"It's all my fault." Robin took the lead in breaking the peaceful silence. Robin's trembling sound attracted everyone's gaze. They saw him covering his face with both hands, not letting anyone see his expression.
But even without looking at his face, just listening to his sound, one could tell that Robin was definitely not feeling well, and might burst into tears at any time.
"If it weren't for me insisting on some growth test, we wouldn't have gotten into this mess. Now it's good, not only are we exposed, but even "Habby" has been captured by them."
Kid Flash suddenly stood up from his chair. He didn't know why, but seeing Robin in such a pathetic state made him furious.
"What are you saying!" Kid Flash used Flash to appear next to Robin. Before anyone could react, he grabbed the other's collar and dragged him up from the ground.
"You're the Captain, how can you say such words at this time? Shouldn't you be thinking of a method to take us back and rescue him?"
"Wally, stop!" Aqualad was a step late, grabbing Kid Flash's hand to try and separate the two. "No one wanted this to happen. You can't blame Dick at this time. He's not feeling well either."
"I know!" Kid Flash shouted, shaking off Jackson's finger and pointing to his brain. "Mind Link, we're still linked together, I can feel everyone's mood, but now is not the time for frustration and regret."
"That's what I was going to say too." Aqualad supported the dispirited Dick. "We must ask the Justice League for help and have them come and rescue "Habby"."
"Hurry and ask for help!" Miss Martian stood timidly to the side. "As long as the adults come, then "Habby" will definitely be safe."
"It's too late." Kid Flash scratched his head in annoyance. "Flash told me some time ago that Reverse-Flash came to his door. He's been dealing with things related to Reverse-Flash during this time. No one but him can get here before something happens to "Habby"."
"We still have the Watchtower, have you forgotten?" Aqualad put his hand on Kid Flash's shoulder. "The teleportation device of the Watchtower can instantly teleport people to any corner of Earth. As long as the Watchtower is activated, the Justice League can quickly descend upon Santa Prisca Island."
"That won't work." Robin interrupted the two's conversation, and then poured cold water directly on everyone. "The legality of the Justice League is endorsed by the United Nations, but using the teleportation device for arbitrary teleportation is illegal."
