Chapter 867 Batman-style Interrogation

"I read a trace of fear in your brain."

Habby ignored Robin, instead lowering his body and staring at Bane almost face-to-face. The latter was just breathing heavily and staring at the former with angry and fearful gaze.

"Creatures find it difficult to remain calm when faced with the threat of death, especially a painful death by suffocation."

Habby ignored him, just talking to himself.

"Just now, you walked through the gates of hell, which caused a flaw to appear in your originally airtight brain. Taking advantage of the time you needed to rebuild your defense, I have already read everything in your brain."

After Habby finished speaking, the tail behind him rose high, and then suddenly lashed out at Bane's head. The latter fell to the ground with a thud and passed out.

"I will send the information I gathered to you." Habby turned around, informed the stunned Robin and others, and then transmitted the data from his brain to everyone through telepathy.

This included not only what was in Bane's brain, but also what was in the brains of that group of Cobra Cult thugs.

As mentioned earlier, Robin, in order to save time and because there were two telepathic ability users, separated the two groups of enemies for interrogation.

Martian Girl was responsible for Bane, while Habby naturally dealt with the Cobra Cult thugs.

Unlike the battle-hardened Bane, the Cobra Cult thugs obviously did not have a method to counter mind reading, so Habby easily stripped everything from the brains of all the thugs.

It only took a few minutes in total. When he returned, he happened to see Bane sitting on the ground, talking eloquently, subtly seizing the initiative while the children of the Young Justice League were not paying attention.

It can only be said that Bane is indeed a man who once completely crushed Batman in terms of intelligence and force. Deceiving a few children who had just become independent was still easy for him.

Habby, this hidden adult, naturally couldn't sit idly by, but he wasn't in a hurry to act either. He had been observing Bane's expression from the side while relying on invisibility.

At the critical moment when the other party thought he had the overall situation under control, Habby launched a surprise attack on Bane. He appeared, entangled, and hanged him in one smooth motion, catching Bane off guard.

Bane obviously didn't expect that among these children, there would be someone so ruthless. He was mentally unprepared, coupled with the weakness in his body from not injecting Venom serum, and the threat of death from suffocation. These three factors allowed Habby to break through Bane's defense line in an instant.

Taking advantage of this momentary opening, Habby stripped everything from Bane's brain.

This method is very efficient, but it doesn't look very compliant with the rule. The children of the Young Justice League all thought Habby was really going to kill Bane. Coupled with the appearance of a mutant, he really had a bit of a villain's shadow.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it was enough to stop a child's crying.

"Seriously, for a moment there, I thought you were really going to kill him."

Kid Flash walked quickly two steps to Habby's side. As the most popular person in the team, Kid Flash could chat with anyone.

Therefore, Robin, through Martian Girl's telepathy, gave him a mission, asking him to pay attention to Habby's mental state. Robin was afraid that Habby's momentary violence just now might have some hidden dangers.

"Just the most common intimidation in interrogation," Habby explained.

"We don't have extra time to waste. The longer we drag it out, the more likely we are to be discovered by the enemy's main troops, so I had to adopt some extreme methods."

Kid Flash scratched his head and said, "Okay, but I think you're still a bit too extreme."

"It's nothing compared to Batman," Habby recalled. "When Batman first debuted, his favorite interrogation method was to tie ropes to the criminal's legs and then throw them off a building without informing them."

"I've seen the Alliance's internal information. This is just the tip of the iceberg of Batman's interrogation techniques. Of course, now he prefers to use the huge tires of the Batmobile to crush the criminal's head."

"Bane, who has been an opponent of Batman, knows his means very well, but even without this relationship, Bane is still a tough bone to crack. I just caught him off guard when he was most relaxed. Doing it again probably wouldn't have the same effect."

Kid Flash stopped talking. Indeed, compared to Batman, simply strangling someone was indeed much gentler. After chatting with Habby for a while, he felt that the other party should not have any problem.

After all, they also said when they first met that he was a clone body created for assassination needs, so it shouldn't be a problem if his means are a bit cruel, right?

No, there is still a problem. Kid Flash felt that he needed to help Habby's mentality change. After all, the other party had already stepped into the sunlight, and it was better to discard the mindset from the darkness as soon as possible.

As for how to change it, um, he should wait until he gets back and discuss it with his brothers before making a decision.

Yang Le was not omniscient and omnipotent either. Without using telepathy, he couldn't possibly know that Kid Flash came to talk to him with a mission. Of course, even if he knew, it wouldn't matter. He would still speak his mind directly.

After all, these children didn't have bad intentions, and Robin was just worried about Habby's mental state.

Robin felt that as the captain of the Young Justice League, he had an obligation to be responsible not only for the team member's state during missions, but also for their usual state.

In his opinion, Habby and Conner, these clone brothers, both had considerable psychological problems, so he had been silently paying attention to them since the early days of team formation, but he didn't expect that the problems of these two brothers would all erupt in one mission.

It seems that being a captain is not so easy either. Robin sighed in his heart and suddenly felt that his responsibilities were heavy and the road ahead was long.

There was no conversation along the way. This was not because of Habby's action, but because stealth reconnaissance missions originally did not allow them to be laughing and joking. Moreover, they had telepathy for communication, so there was no need to speak.

Following the memory in Bane's brain, the group arrived at a cliff edge. From here, looking into the distance, they could just see the processing plant in the distance.

It was already late at night, but the processing plant in the distance was still brightly lit. Even from such a distance, one could feel the bustling activity inside.

Obviously, Batman's information was correct. The processing plant wires were indeed cut off, but the serum production inside had obviously not stopped.

And, by piecing together Bane's memory and the memory of the Cobra Cult thugs, they could arrive at the approximate answer to the thing.

The reason the processing plant wires were cut off was because they were no longer producing the Venom potion provided to the outside world, but instead switched to producing a more powerful Cobra Serum.
