Chapter 866 Bane feels everything is under control
At this time, Bane was more than a size smaller than when Robin last saw him. If it weren't for the iconic mask and fierce temperament, Robin might not even recognize him.
After observing for a while, Robin understood why Bane was so thin. He was not focused on the Venom drug. Bane's right hand was empty at this time.
A normal Bane would always wear a special wristband on his right or left hand. The wristband would contain a sufficient dose of Venom drug.
There would also be a tube connecting the wristband and the mask, and then under Bane's control, the drug would be delivered into his body, thereby greatly enhancing his combat effectiveness.
But now Bane was not wearing his equipment. Apart from the dirty ordinary clothes, he only had a rifle with no special features, looking unusually embarrassed.
It seemed that Bane's life on Santa Prisca Island was not easy, and the Cobra Cult, who was fighting with Bane and others, obviously looked much more glamorous. Robin had enough information to make a simple judgment just based on this information.
While Robin was observing, the battle continued. Because of the addition of the Young Justice League, the battle group had new changes.
Bane's gang and the Cobra Cult were mostly ordinary people. Although they had guns in their hands, these things were not enough in front of superhumans.
Aqualad drew out the water bearer and gathered moisture in the air. He manipulated the water like pythons and swept towards the Cobra Cult's minions, sweeping them clean in a few moments.
Wonder Girl was even more direct. She blocked all the bullets with her bracelets and then punched down all of Bane's gang members one by one. In less than a minute, only Bane was left on the field.
Bane still had some skills. Even without injecting Venom drug, he could still fight Wonder Girl for a few moves, but the gap in strength was something he could not overcome, and he was still defeated in a few seconds.
The Young Justice League solved the battle like a hot knife through butter. Seeing the battle end, Robin, who had been watching, came out with a rope. Next, it was time for interrogation.
Because there were two telepaths in their team, it was naturally most efficient to interrogate them separately. Robin asked Aqualad to wake up a Cobra Cult minion and Bane with water.
Of course, based on the humanitarian requirements of the Justice League, even if there are telepaths present, general verbal inquiries must be conducted first, and special abilities can only be used when there is really no other way.
Robin naturally wanted to abide by this rule, so he symbolically asked Bane in front of him.
"Tell me Bane, what exactly happened on Santa Prisca Island?"
"Oh, isn't this Batman's little bird?" Bane raised his wet head. "I thought it was a group of kids from somewhere. What's wrong, your boss doesn't want you anymore? Can only form a team by yourself?"
"What are you? Justice League?"
"We are Young Justice League." Kid Flash obviously couldn't stand Bane's provocation. "Saying we are kids, then how were you defeated by a group of kids?"
"Hahaha!" Bane laughed, obviously Kid Flash's retort did not break his defense. Compared with his more than ten years in prison, Kid Flash's insult was as insignificant as a mosquito bite.
"Okay, losing is losing, I have nothing to say." Bane stopped laughing for a while. "Speak. What do you want to know?"
"Everything on Santa Prisca Island." Robin said coldly, he didn't even realize that in some places he was subconsciously imitating Batman.
"That's too long, kid, Batman wouldn't ask that way." Bane grinned. "The Justice League would not send you kids here for no reason. Obviously, they have found out what I have done on Santa Prisca Island."
"In other words, the Venom drug processing plant has been exposed to the Justice League's vision. What a bunch of vultures that can't be shaken off."
Bane's insulting metaphor made the children present who had elders frown. The reason why they embarked on this path was basically because of their admiration for their elders, so they could not tolerate their elders being insulted.
Robin took the lead. He pulled out his batarang and inserted it into the big tree behind Bane, and said coldly.
"It seems you don't know what to say, we can only use some extreme measures, Miss Martian."
Miss Martian closed her eyes upon hearing this, obviously using telepathy, but soon she frowned and opened her eyes again.
"No, Bane's mind is full of trivial things. He is using the method of reciting formulas and sports scores to avoid my telepathy. It is impossible to get something from his mind without hurting him."
Bane showed a disdainful smile. As someone who could push Batman to a dead end, he naturally had some skills. Telepathy is indeed useful, but the Justice League's moral standards are too high. This ability is simply a waste for them.
"It seems you haven't learned the essence of old bat, little bird." Bane mocked, and at the same time he felt it was almost time.
Bane knew that he was a prisoner, but even so, he could not sit still and wait for death. Bane had lost many times in his life, but he knew that only when he admitted defeat in his heart was he really defeated.
So even in a weak position, Bane must hold the initiative in his own hands, and what he just did was to dampen the spirit of these children.
After his series of verbal attacks, the rhythm of these children has been disrupted. What Bane has to do now is to take the initiative, so that it is convenient to continue doing things.
Just now Bane had come up with a good idea. He wanted to use these brats to take back his factory, and at the very least, he had to snatch back his equipment.
Just when Bane felt that everything was going according to his plan, he suddenly felt a sense of tightness around his neck, and the next second the tightness turned into suffocation.
Robin and others were even more shocked. They saw Harpy, who had disappeared for a long time, suddenly pop out, and then wrapped his long tail around Bane's neck, hanging the latter up.
Bane, whose hands were bound, had no way to resist, and could only kick his legs in the air like a grasshopper.
"What are you doing, Harpy!" Robin hurriedly reached out. "Let him down!"
Harpy was also obedient, and immediately put down Bane, who immediately took big breaths of air after sitting on the ground, looking like a fish lying on a chopping board.
