Chapter 861 Illuminati and the Seed Yang Le Planted
Sportsmaster walked into a room with seven screens projected. Once he was ready, he pressed the button on the remote control in his hand.
In the next second, the lights in the entire room dimmed. After a moment, visuals appeared on the seven screens one after another. It was the seven leaders of the Illuminati.
"What is it, Sportsmaster?" Vandal Savage asked first.
"A report on the current situation of the Young Justice League," Sportsmaster replied.
"I got the latest intelligence from the spy."
After speaking, Sportsmaster took out something from his backpack. It was the electronic telescope Roy had used to observe the Young Justice League.
Sportsmaster connected it to a data cable, and then another screen was projected behind him, playing the visuals of the Young Justice League fighting Mister Tornado.
"Their team members have increased again." Queen Bee was the first to notice Artemis and Wonder Girl who had joined.
"And one of them has quite a connection with me." Klarion the Witch Boy stroked the kitty in his arms, referring to Wonder Girl Donna Troy.
In the DC Universe, Chaos and Order must coexist. If either side becomes too strong, major problems will arise. Therefore, Yang Le only expelled Klarion the Witch Boy before and did not eliminate him.
Even if Klarion the Witch Boy was eliminated, as long as the underlying logic of the DC Universe remained unchanged, Chaos would regenerate from the corner of the Universe. Besides, Nabu was not a good bird either, and Yang Le didn't want to weaken Chaos and make him stronger.
If it were anyone else, they would have been kicked out of the Illuminati after such a failure. Aquaman's younger brother was the last loser to be kicked out.
However, Klarion the Witch Boy's attainments in magic and status were not something that ordinary person could replace. Therefore, after discovering that Klarion the Witch Boy had been expelled, the Illuminati quickly summoned him back through a ritual, which was much faster than Klarion the Witch Boy returning on his own.
After Klarion the Witch Boy was summoned back, he naturally explained everything he had done. Therefore, the Illuminati had a certain understanding of Donna Troy and the unknown lifeform that could expel him.
However, compared to Donna Troy, the Nagirians full of mystery were obviously more valued by the Illuminati. For this potential, unknown enemy, it was very likely to affect the Illuminati's plan.
But there was no way. The Illuminati used all their resources but still couldn't find any information about the Nagirians, because Yang Le had only transformed into this appearance once. Klarion the Witch Boy, as the only eyewitness, was completely frozen, so they had no clue except for the appearance and unclear abilities.
Helpless, the Illuminati could only temporarily put the Nagirians aside. They couldn't stop their plan for a threat. Since there were no clues, it was better to ignore it for the time being.
If the other party was really their enemy, then there would always be a day when they reappeared. The Illuminati believed that they could afford to lose once or twice. At that time, they could learn about the other party's abilities through trial and error, and then think of countermeasures.
Those who cannot afford to lose are the real losers. One or two failures do not represent anything. The real winner is the one who laughs last, and the Illuminati wants to be the one who laughs last.
In just a moment, the Illuminati finished watching all the video recording.
Luthor's gaze flickered. He was very satisfied with Superboy's current state. This weakness was simply not something a normal Kryptonian should have.
With Superman, the best role model, so close at hand, Superboy would probably soon fall into distress because of his lack of strength. That would be the best timing for him to take advantage of the situation.
"BOSSes," Sportsmaster opened while the scene was quiet. "Regarding that little girl who imitates Green Arrow, I feel she is very likely to be my daughter. I think we can use her as a key point to plant another spy."
"There are already enough spies," Ra's al Ghul vetoed Sportsmaster's suggestion. "Excessive spies will only reveal more clues."
"But it can make them suspicious of each other," Klarion the Witch Boy revealed an evil smile. "Making a team that was originally close-knit suspicious of each other is simply the most perfect act."
"Klarion the Witch Boy is right," Vandal Savage nodded. "A spy in the open can indeed bring many unexpected gains, and may even trigger disputes between those child and the Justice League."
"In that case, I will find an opportunity to contact her," Sportsmaster accepted the mission.
Vandal Savage thought for a moment and said again: "Not only that, in the next action, you also need to let the Young Justice League know that there is a spy within them. As long as this point is made clear, then no matter what these child do, they will be led by the nose by us."
"Yes," Sportsmaster nodded in response.
The room was quiet for a while. After confirming that no one opening, Luthor, who had been keeping quiet, stood up.
"I have a few things to say about Cadmus Research Institute." Luthor tapped his finger lightly, and a piece of information was sent to the other leaders.
"This is one of the pages of information deleted within Cadmus Research Institute. The things recorded inside are slightly different from our initial plan."
"Are you saying that the dog we raised betrayed us?" Queen Bee frowned. She hated the noun betrayal very much.
"It's not exactly betrayal," Luthor marked the more important aspects in the information. "Obviously, Doctor Desmond wanted to give us a surprise at the beginning, but he failed."
"Omnipotent Mutant Clone—O Weapon," Vandal Savage read out the noun that was heavily marked in the information. Based on this noun, he quickly associated it with a creature.
He moved his line of sight and locked onto the Young Justice League video recording. On the frozen visuals, there was a creature that didn't look like a human at all. It was Yang Le's Mutant Clone Habby.
"Dr. Desmond wanted to research a gene monster that could carry all superpowers, which is the so-called O-Weapon, but unfortunately his experiment was not successful."
Luthor zoomed in on Habby's visuals so that everyone could see it.
"The creature in front of you is his research outcome, a bio-weapon that has inherited six superpowers."
Luthor's gaze towards Habby revealed a hint of desire. In the past, he only thought that Dr. Desmond was a dispensable waste, but he didn't expect that the other party could leave him such a big surprise.
Habby's appearance shocked everyone present except Klarion the Witch Boy. Six superpowers in one body, they all knew what this represented.
"This is impossible," Brain's iconic electronic voice came. "Fusing six genes from different superhuman into one is an impossible thing."
"But the fact is right in front of us," Luthor said with a smile.
