Chapter 501 Regarding Giants

"What is this?" Bruce looked at the outer layer of bright yellow colloid and couldn't help but furrow his brow.

"This is what that Fourarms guy who saved me did." Howard walked up, pointed at the Giant, and explained to Bruce.

"According to the soldiers at the scene, this thing was shot out from the hands of that Fourarms. Initially, it was a liquid, but upon contact with an object, it quickly transformed into this colloid."

"This thing is incredibly tough. Confining the Giant, whose body is incomplete and not yet recovered, within it prevents his body regeneration. A Giant with an incomplete body cannot exert his full strength. Furthermore, being unable to obtain oxygen, he's even less likely to break free. Over time, he can only lapse into a state of feigned death."

Howard said, then took out a tablet. Displayed on it was the Giant's thermal imaging. There were two images, one on the left and one on the right, evenly dividing the screen, perfect for comparison.

"This is when he was still active; his core temperature was around 70-80. This is his current one, still above 37. With this body temperature, I don't believe he's dead."

"Your speculation is quite right, Mr. Stark." Bruce recorded the data in his brain. "When facing unknown things, we must maintain a sense of awe. Your decision not to rashly dismantle this colloid is very wise."

"It's not just reason; it's more about not daring to," Howard chuckled self-deprecatingly. "We wouldn't dare release a tiger from its prison. Before you arrived, General Ross had already contacted Hyperion, asking him to return from the frontline. Only he can fully suppress these Giants. Without him, we wouldn't dare to act."

"I'm already here."

Howard and Bruce were chatting when a sound, tinged with fatigue, came from behind them. Everyone turned their heads to look, and the person who arrived was indeed the number one super hero of today, Hyperion, the leader of the Supreme Squadron.

At this time, Hyperion wasn't wearing his previous black battle suit, but a red one. This was because his previous battle suit had been destroyed in the battle with Yang Le. The one he's wearing now was newly made for him by Howard. It looks like only the color is different, but in fact, the ingredients have been completely upgraded.

However, the once-vibrant battle suit was now covered in a layer of dust. Hyperion himself also looked somewhat weary. After all, he'd been fighting all day. As the number one hero, he was constantly rushing around putting out fires. Anyone else would probably have collapsed from exhaustion long ago.

"Let's begin, everyone," Hyperion said, getting straight to the point. "The frontline still needs me. I can't be away for too long; those things might break through the defense lines."

"Precisely." Howard made a gesture. His subordinate began preparing various instruments. He also had Bruce put on a protective suit. After all, no one knew if there was anything harmful to the human body inside this thing's body.

Everything was prepared. A staff member picked up a circular saw. After receiving Howard's permission, he began cutting into the bright yellow colloid.

"Zzz!"

The circular saw was constantly cutting into the colloid's surface, but it couldn't even make a scratch. The staff member steeled his heart and pressed down with more strength. Unexpectedly, the circular saw got stuck directly on the colloid. Soon after, the circular saw emitted a strange sound, and then black smoke billowed out from it.

"This won't do," Howard instructed, ordering people to remove the circular saw. "Go get the laser scalpel used for surgery."

"That's too time-consuming; everyone stand back." Hyperion strode forward, and the staff members surrounding him quickly made way.

Standing before the colloid, orange-yellow light flared in Hyperion's eyes. A ray shot from his eye sockets, striking the colloid's surface directly. After being scorched by the high temperature, a foul odor quickly spread.

After a few more seconds, Hyperion slowly began to turn his head, and the ray moved along with his line of sight, widening the area it covered.

"It's working!" A staff member exclaimed in surprise. The areas swept by the light ray cracked open one after another, with traces of melting along the fissures. As the swept area widened, the cracks grew larger and larger. Finally, the Giant's incomplete physical body was exposed to everyone.

"Collect the melted colloid," Howard ordered his subordinate. Soon, someone arrived with tools to collect the melted colloid into vials.

"Sir, the Giant's body temperature is continuously rising!" The staff member monitoring the instrument loudly alerted everyone.

"Unsurprising," Howard said, pursing his mouth. "Attention, Sleeping Beauty is waking up. Bring the 'Poison Apple' here."

No sooner had Howard spoken than a staff member handed Hyperion an injector the size of a human arm, explaining,

"This is a potent anesthetic. Please inject it into the Giant."

Hyperion took the anesthetic and strode over to the regenerating Giant. Ignoring the body part, he casually plunged it in. Once the needle entered the Giant's body, it quickly and steadily injected the stored serum.

Only when an entire needle of anesthetic had been injected did the Giant finally cease moving, and even regeneration halted. But even then, Howard couldn't be certain and had Hyperion inject another needle before stopping.

You should know that this needle of anesthetic, even for injecting an elephant, only requires 5ml. Injecting this needle into a Giant, even a whale might die from such a dose.

This special effects anesthetic was also researched by Howard's team. Originally, it was invented to counter super beings like Hyperion, who are even more powerful than elephants and whales. But they quickly discovered a problem.

This thing can't be injected into Hyperion's body. Currently, only adamantium can pierce Hyperion's skin. But adamantium is far too rare; making needles out of it would be an extravagant waste.

As for oral administration, just think of the thirteen members of the Qi family and that dog. No fool would drink this thing.

If it were those Giants currently on the frontline, it's estimated that even this ordinary alloy needle wouldn't be able to pierce them. But this one hasn't undergone as much evolution yet, so it can naturally be injected easily.

With the Giant subdued, the mission for Howard, Bruce, and the scientists began. Hyperion, having administered the anesthetic, stood aside to act as a bodyguard.

Although they were only in a temporarily erected laboratory, the facility here was quite complete. Soon, Bruce saw all the data related to the Giant.

"This is impossible," Bruce said, his mouth opening involuntarily. "Where did such a massive amount of radiation come from? Did he swallow an entire radiation station?"

As soon as Howard saw the data, he cleared everyone from the scene. The protective suit they were wearing couldn't protect against this level of radiation. Only Hyperion at the scene could withstand this level of radiation.

If they stayed here too long, they could very well turn into strange things.

But this data also confirmed Bruce's suspicion. This thing was definitely not caused by his serum, or at least not by ordinary serum. As for Super Serum...

The transition is a bit dull. The next chapter will reveal the truth, followed by the superhuman trajectory of this universe and the protagonist establishing a new organization.
