Chapter 418 Kidnapping Tony Stark
The originally restless crowd quieted down under the threat of gunshots. Even with the constant roaring of several helicopters overhead, the terrorist's words were clearly heard by everyone present thanks to the sound system's amplification.
After hearing the terrorist's demands, even with the threat of guns, a considerable murmur arose within the venue. Tony Stark, the son of Howard Stark, the heir to Stark Industries, was actually here.
Facing the rising murmur, the terrorist did not stop it this time. He aimed at the microphone again and said, "We know you're here, Tony Stark, listen up! If you don't come out now, every minute I will empty a magazine, until you come out!"
"Don't even think about calling the police. Under our jammers, all of your communication devices are just garbage."
"Whoa!"
The terrorist's words were like a drop of water falling into a boiling oil pot. The crowd immediately became agitated. This was America; no one would doubt the terrorist's words' authenticity.
Under the threat of a dozen guns, no one dared to stand up and resist. They all checked the true identity of the people around them, trying to find the person who would decide their life.
"Looks like our date is ruined," Yang Le said to Gwen beside him. "Seriously, I'm really pissed right now."
This was inevitable. The lovers had finally managed to enjoy their beautiful time together after many months, but now a group of irrelevant people had run out to spoil the fun. Anyone would feel resentment in this situation.
"Me too," Gwen said indignantly. Then, she surveyed the chaotic crowd around her, feeling troubled. If it were an ordinary open-air concert, Gwen could easily slip away into an empty corner and transform into Spider-Woman to wreak havoc.
However, the place where Xue Xi was holding the concert was a large gymnasium newly built by Stark Industries. Although it was also open-air, everyone here was seated according to their seat. Not to mention, the audience members were afraid to leave their seats in case bullets landed on them. If Gwen stood up at this time, she would definitely be discovered.
Just as Gwen was troubled, someone stood up before her. Because the person was also in her area, Gwen noticed them immediately.
That person was wearing a red baseball hoodie. Because of the hoodie, it was difficult to see the other person's true identity clearly. Gwen noticed that the people on both sides of that person's seat were still tugging at his clothes, looking like they were trying their best to stop him from standing up.
The terrorist, of course, also noticed the person not far from the stage. He immediately aimed the gun in his hand at the person and asked, "Do you have anything to say?"
"I am Tony Stark!" The hoodie man broke free from his partner's tugging, and with a jerk, pulled off his hoodie. A young and handsome face was immediately revealed.
"Don't hurt innocent people, I'm right here!"
The people sitting next to Tony showed an expression of despair. Judging by their age and clothes, these two should be his bodyguards.
"Very good!" The terrorist praised, raising the gun in his hand. "Now come up onto the stage, remember, only you come up, don't think about wasting time."
Tony said a few words to his bodyguards beside him. They had no choice but to give way. The other audience members dared not to stop him. Tony walked unhindered to the front of the stage, supported himself on the stage's edge with both hands, and jumped up.
"That's right, being obedient is good for everyone." The terrorist nodded in satisfaction, then dropped the microphone in his hand and gestured to his subordinate behind him.
A subordinate walked out from the ranks. He took out a pair of handcuffs from his weapon belt and walked towards Tony. The meaning was self-evident; he was going to kidnap this rich second-generation heir.
Tony just watched the person walk towards him, even proactively extending his hands. This cooperation surprised the terrorist, who was stunned for a moment before regaining his senses.
Facing the terrorist who lowered his head and wanted to approach him, Tony revealed a triumphant smile. His right hand rotated the watch face on his left hand, then flipped open the watch cover. The watch actually unfolded at a speed visible to the naked eye, finally transforming into a metal gauntlet.
"Hum!"
The metal gauntlet made a sound. Tony aimed his palm at the terrorist who wanted to handcuff him. A shockwave was released from his palm. The unprepared terrorist was blown away and fell to the ground. A slight shattering appeared on the faceplate of his head.
Tony was also pushed back a few centimeters by the shockwave. Before others could react, he put on the hoodie again and forcefully tore off the windproof ropes on both sides. The hoodie immediately covered his entire face, leaving not even a crack.
He raised his left hand at the terrorist rushing towards him and shot out another shockwave. At the same time, his right hand reached into the kangaroo pocket in front of his belly. When Tony's right hand came out again, a metal gauntlet, similar to the one on his left hand, had also appeared on his right hand.
"Hum." The faceplate, transformed from the hoodie, lit up with two blue lights at the eyes' position. Tony raised both hands and began to continuously bombard the terrorist with shockwaves.
"Get out of his attack range, you idiots!" The leader's annoyed sound rang out. The second shockwave hit him just as he had gotten up from the ground and saw the clumsy scene of his subordinates.
"His body can't withstand a larger shockwave! The attack range is just that small! Shoot him from a distance!"
"But Captain," the terrorist who was helping him up asked hesitantly. "We want a live Tony Stark, shooting him will..."
"Then shoot his leg!" The Captain pushed away his subordinate, raised the gun hanging on his weapon belt, and aimed it at Tony, who was displaying great power. After a brief aim, he was about to pull the trigger.
"Bang!"
The Captain ultimately failed to pull the trigger. A microphone stand struck his head. It was Xue Xi. When no one had paid attention to this idol, she raised the microphone stand and hit the terrorist captain's head hard.
Don't underestimate Xue Xi's strength. She is a K-pop idol. To meet the singing and dancing demands of a whole concert, her usual amount of exercise is very frightening. If the Captain hadn't been wearing a helmet, this blow, even if it didn't kill him directly, would definitely have caused a bloody head injury.
"You..." The terrorist, seeing his Captain being knocked down, immediately snatched the microphone stand, slapped Xue Xi in the face, and knocked her to the ground.
The Captain touched his helmet, got up from the ground, snatched the handgun from his subordinate's hand, and then aimed it at Xue Xi, who was lying on the ground.
The orders only said not to kill Tony Stark, but they didn't say anything about not killing a small idol like you.
