Chapter 40
chapter 023 part 2
Horror filled their faces.
“Why is Asgard gone…”
“Surtur? He said he came by the command of the Machine God, but who is the Machine God…”
“Odin is confirmed dead. The Nine Realms are about to undergo a massive change. The scene of conquest from millions of years ago will likely be replayed today, plunging the other eight worlds into unprecedented Chaos and disorder.”
Everyone's faces were filled with terror and helplessness, along with a surging sense of dread. They watched Surtur and Hela’s great battle with awe, their minds churning with various thoughts and ideas.
Everything appeared exceptionally terrifying.
The fierce confrontation continued. The upper reaches of the World Tree were already a chaotic mess. The brutal battle between the two Skyfather-level beings had destroyed everything; Asgard itself had nothing left, not even ruins.
They fought with a murderous frenzy.
*Rip!*
A Portal suddenly opened.
Martin, holding Thor by the hair, slowly walked through the vacuum of space, his demeanor as if he were merely sightseeing.
“Hela, the God of Death? And with Odin’s power. Odin truly took this step, though it might just be a calculated move.”
Martin watched, a subtle expression on his face, observing this unprecedented battle with keen interest.
*Roar!*
Surtur let out a roar, filled with immense anger and hatred, mixed with a hint of exhilaration.
Martin twisted Thor’s neck up, gripping it tightly, and chuckled lowly: “Prince Thor, do you see? Asgard is gone. All your people, completely wiped out. Are you happy?”
Thor’s eyes were bloodshot and bulging, blood tears streaming down his face, but his neck was firmly clutched by Martin.
“Do you know how much effort I put into bringing down Asgard? Including when I crushed Mjolnir, provoking Odin, and risking his already dwindling lifespan, do you know how hard I worked?”
Martin let out a low, cold laugh: “If I didn’t bring down Asgard, if I didn’t eliminate the Overlord above the Nine Realms, how could I build my own planet? As long as I remained in the Milky Way Galaxy, I would be living under the shadow of Asgard. Do you know what a terrible outcome that is?”
“My esteemed Prince, open your eyes and witness this scene.”
Chapter 54
The feeling of gradually pushing Asgard to its destruction, step by step, was truly exquisite. Martin forcibly twisted Thor’s head, forcing him to witness the scene.
Thor let out a beast-like roar, his eyes crimson.
Accompanied by terrifying lightning, Stormbreaker, having lost its master, seemed to sense a new worthy successor and flew over with a *whoosh*!
Thor’s eyes lit up, his face grim, and he reached out to catch the axe. But Martin's movements were faster. He grabbed the axe handle directly, then buried the axe into Thor's chest, destroying all his internal organs!
“This time, Captain America isn't here to save you. That guy was just dug out of the North Pole a few hours ago,” Martin chuckled lowly, not caring if Thor understood.
The next second.
Martin chopped off Thor’s neck with an axe, his massive head flying upwards. Then, he completely destroyed the corpse, only extracting a large amount of fresh blood. This preserved the noble prince's DNA, perhaps to research Bio-Weapons like Clones in the future—don't think this is impossible, nothing is impossible in the Marvel Universe.
At this point, only Hela, the God of Death, remained of all Asgard. And now, Hela appeared to be at her limit, being pushed to the brink by the almost insane Surtur.
“Once Asgard is destroyed and the Aesir Gods are all dead, the greatest obstacle standing in my way will be gone.”
Martin spread his arms, closing his eyes, as if embracing a bright future. The most dominant and massive entity that stood before him had crumbled. Who else could stop him?
As for the other eight realms embroiled in chaotic war after Asgard's demise, and the other God Races that might return… Sorry, what does that have to do with my Cybertronians?!
Let them all fight! Fight for hegemony over the World Tree. If they can’t achieve a result, then let them all die. In any case, whoever obstructs me, I will kill.
This was Martin’s resolve. As long as Asgard was finished, that was enough.
Now, only Hela remained.
She needed to be killed quickly, to eradicate her completely.
Martin's eyes flashed with a sharp, cold gleam, killing intent flickering. He finally decided to move against Hela.
Combining the combat power of two Skyfathers, Hela absolutely had to be killed here.
Martin soared forth. This time, he didn't use the Matrix of Leadership. In a single step, he traversed dozens of light-years, slamming a ferocious punch towards Hela.
“What are you, you despicable Human!”
Hela’s face twisted. Terrifying Divine Power surged around her, and with the Necrosword in her hand, she continuously slashed, leaving hideous wounds on Surtur.
The moment she sensed Martin approaching, she immediately flung a blade, which shot directly towards Martin’s head.
But Martin didn't even bother to dodge, as if he hadn't seen it, confronting it head-on. In an instant, a violent roar erupted, but it was Hela’s thrown short sword that was sent flying.
“Die, Hela. I orchestrated Asgard’s destruction, so how could I let you live so easily—speaking of which, you should thank me. If I hadn’t exhausted Odin to death beforehand, you wouldn’t have escaped.”
Martin smiled, but his attacks were incredibly brutal. Each strike aimed to destroy his opponent, hitting vital points. He possessed this formidable combat power.
“So it was you… You killing Odin is justified, but you shouldn't have destroyed Asgard!”
Hela roared in fury, her voice sharp and piercing, her face utterly distorted. Without the augmentation of the Asgardian continent, her Divine Power had severely declined. Even wielding the recently acquired Odin’s power felt strenuous.
Surtur swung his sword, sending Hela flying with a thunderous blow. He growled, striding forward, attacking repeatedly.
Martin was even more powerful, charging in head-on with immense force. Clad in The Supreme Divine Armor, which offered invincible defense, he possessed the combat power to suppress Hela even without using the Matrix of Leadership!
“I am the God of Death of the World Tree! I will never die!” Hela’s hair was disheveled, her charm gone, like a madwoman.
But this, still could not reverse the tide of defeat.
