Chapter 34

chapter 019 part 2

Only Deviants would constantly undergo genetic mutations!

And the Deviants, who had seized hegemony over Earth, also suffered a pyrrhic victory; their population drastically reduced, their civilization wounded, and their vitality severely depleted.

But before they could lick their wounds and enjoy the sorrow and joy after their pyrrhic victory, an even more terrifying disaster descended.

The Celestials, at this specific point in time, twenty thousand years ago, descended upon Earth for the second time. They, high above, coldly evaluated the value of Earth's experimental subjects and ultimately determined that the Deviants were a failed product, lacking the value to survive.

The Deviants were besieged by the Celestials. Even in their grief and indignation, they used the last vestiges of their civilization's power to build star fortresses and brazenly launched a desperate attack against the Deities. But... it was useless.

The Celestials were far too powerful. Even though the Deviants, as a race, were most adept at adapting to adversity by undergoing rampant genetic mutations to survive harsh circumstances, finding ways to break through from their own genes, and furiously producing more powerful individuals—in the face of absolute power suppression, it was useless.

The Deviants were annihilated.

But their Bloodline was not completely severed; a tiny, insignificant part of their wildly mutated special Gene Chain persisted in a group of extremely primitive primate species. This species later called themselves—Humans, and ultimately became the new Overlords of Earth!

And that branch of Humans who inherited the Deviant's mutated genes are today's... Mutants! The tiny bit of mutated gene they inherited was even referred to as the X-Gene!

All of this originated from that disaster twenty thousand years ago. The two dominant races, one was defeated and left, the other seized hegemony only to be annihilated by the Celestials.

In that era, Earth experienced an unprecedented power vacuum.

On such a vast Living Planet, the two most powerful and formidable groups, who should have shaken the Milky Way Galaxy, were all finished, their fates more tragic than the last. And what was even more terrifying was that there was no one left to protect Earth.

It was at this time that a great Demon from Hell seized the opportunity to target Earth. Earth was about to be dragged into Hell, to become a feast on the tables of countless Demons. This was Earth's most vulnerable moment in history.

A rain of fire descended from the sky.

Countless Spirits of Vengeance descended upon Earth with the rain of fire.

Chapter 45

No one knew where the Spirits of Vengeance came from.

After they descended upon Earth, they immediately became the first and only group to resist the invasion from Hell. These fiery and justice-seeking Spirits of Vengeance rushed forward, one after another, almost piling up their lives to make the great Demon of Hell scramble in disarray.

This great Demon named Zarathos finally grew afraid and hastily fled back to Hell.

And after this battle, the remaining Spirits of Vengeance were already few and far between. This period of history became even more unknown; even today, many long-standing factions have no record of this battle.

Martin slowly raised his head and sneered repeatedly, "Your vile methods caused the youngest Spirit of Vengeance in this world to fall and become a creature of Hell, and you still have the audacity to call him your servant?"

Mephisto looked at Martin with interest. His gaze sharpened, but he immediately shifted his gaze to Surtur, a cautious look appearing in his eyes.

Surtur, he, of course, recognized him—a very troublesome fellow.

Mephisto was about to speak, but Martin had already donned his Supreme Divine Armor, and with a single punch, struck Mephisto fiercely, instantly shattering his Avatar.

"Foolish Human, though I don't know why you are so special, with you alone, you absolutely cannot kill me."

This dissipating Avatar of Mephisto, with an eerie smile on its face, said leisurely.

Martin's gaze, through his battle helmet, fell upon Mephisto, and he sneered, "Rest easy and await your death in Hell; I will be there to kill you soon."

Through the terrifying analysis system of his Supreme Divine Armor, he instantly began tracing the power coordinates of Mephisto's Avatar as it dissipated, capturing the coordinates of Hell.

"All Legions, assemble! We are going to attack Hell! At the very least, Mephisto's True Form must be killed!"

Martin flew into the sky, his voice icy.

Surtur immediately hefted the Twilight Sword and laughed heartily. A trace of approval and admiration appeared in his gaze towards Martin.

He had originally thought Martin would be patient and restrained, because crossing over from one Universe to attack Hell was too exaggerated, and the difficulty was astonishing. Moreover, according to human cognitive inertia, Humans, as a species, whenever Hell was mentioned, would instinctively place themselves in a defensive position.

Time and again, they fought against forces from Hell, but it was always merely passive defense. Defeating the opponent would fill them with complacency, boasting about having won a battle...

Won? My ass!

Hell, including the specific invading great Demon, was practically unharmed. Give him time, and he could return to make a comeback.

Humans had always been on the receiving end of beatings. Waiting for the opponent to get tired, their fists sore from striking, and retreat—and that was considered winning?

Martin said coldly, "Since a fool from Hell is seeking death, then I shall grant him his wish. Of all people to provoke, he chose to provoke me... This battle will serve as a probe into Hell, with the minimum strategic objective of utterly killing Mephisto!"

As for the highest strategic objective, he deliberately did not mention it.

Martin did not yet possess the ability to conquer all of Hell. The One Below All and Cyttorak of the Crimson Cosmos stood before him, and he did not possess the ability to kill them.

Large numbers of Legions began to gather.

Surtur had by now completely devoured Ghost Rider and was occasionally brandishing the Twilight Sword, appearing extremely savage and excited. He had been imprisoned for too long, so long that he had forgotten the taste of battle.

Dr. Banner found Martin.

"For this battle, I think I should go as well." Dr. Banner said with some difficulty.

"Oh? You've communicated with Hulk?"

"Yes, although the process was very unpleasant, the results are generally quite good..."

Just then, Megatron walked over with a cold expression. The moment he saw Megatron, a look of fear appeared on Banner's face, and he subconsciously took a step back.

It was this silver giant who had beaten Hulk so badly that he didn't dare show his face, keeping him subdued for a long time. He had never seen such a timid Hulk!

Therefore, even though Surtur was clearly much stronger than Megatron, he still feared Megatron more.

All the armies gathered together.
