Squirtle was startled. A Psychic Type Pokémon using a Grass-type Move was just absurd. It quickly shut its mouth and dodged to the side.
Magical Leaf brushed past. Squirtle wiped the sweat from its brow, feeling secretly lucky.

Under the incredulous gazes of the entire audience, the white light flashed to its peak brilliance before being violently shattered by a surge of blue, flowing water.
By now, Squirtle's form was vastly different. Not only had its physique grown considerably, but its skin had also changed from the previous light blue to a deep blue. Its tail had become wider and fluffier, and a pair of small, sharp fangs now protruded from the corners of its mouth.
The most unique feature was its head. The once bald head now sported two large, wing-like ears, giving it a rather cool appearance.
It had completed its Evolution at the very limit of its stamina. Now, it should be called,
