Chapter 16: Tang San Gets Thrashed

2024-07-17 Author: Xianyu Wangyue

Tang San's unfinished words were suddenly caught in his throat.

"Fine," Tang San replied in a deep voice.

He decided he would make Aotian taste the agony of defeat today and force Aotian to lower his arrogant head.

"You can make the first move," Tang San said, looking calmly at Aotian.

In his earlier fight with Xiao Wu, Tang San had never encountered her strange Soft Skill, which was why he had been caught off guard and suffered a major loss.

If they were to fight again, he was confident he could defeat Xiao Wu.

But facing Aotian, Tang San felt no pressure.

If he couldn't even defeat a six-year-old child, then he would be unworthy of being a Tang Sect Disciple and would have lived two lives in vain.

Aotian didn't waste words. He took a few steps, appeared before Tang San, and threw a straight punch at his face.

He didn't use the earth-shattering energy within him, and he had already suppressed the power and speed of his physical body to their absolute minimum. Even so, the force he unleashed was still far greater than that of any other child his age.

His physical body was harder than the toughest metal in the world. He controlled his power as much as possible, not wanting to make Tang San explode with a single punch.

The corners of Tang San's mouth curled up slightly. When it came to a contest of power, he had never feared anyone.

Although he was small and thin, he had been swinging a forging hammer thousands of times a day for the past three months. His power had long since been trained to an astonishing level.

Because of this, when faced with Aotian's punch, he didn't choose to use any other techniques. Instead, he met Aotian's fist with his own.

He believed that only by defeating Aotian using the same method could he deal the heaviest blow to Aotian's pride.

The other boys watching couldn't help but clench their fists, hoping in their hearts to see Aotian defeated by Tang San's punch.

Aotian was absurdly handsome, while Tang San was ordinary-looking. Psychologically, these boys unhesitatingly sided with Tang San, who looked as plain as they did.

Xiao Wu's large eyes were fixed on Tang San and Aotian. She was a little worried, afraid that the friend she had just made would be hurt.

Full of confidence, Tang San's fist collided with Aotian's.

With a *bang*, the faint smile on Tang San's face froze, and his entire body was sent flying backward.

Aotian, however, remained in his punching stance. His body hadn't even trembled, standing as immovable as a great mountain.

"This..." Everyone, including Xiao Wu, was stunned.

The oldest, Wang Sheng, unconsciously opened his mouth wide. He knew Tang San's power better than anyone.

During his earlier fight with Tang San, he had used his own Martial Soul, yet even with the power of the Battle Tiger, he had still lost to Tang San's power.

And now, Tang San had actually been sent flying by a single punch from this Aotian... Wang Sheng dared not imagine what would happen if he had been the one to face that punch...

"So he's not just handsome, his power is also this immense. I was worried for nothing," Xiao Wu thought.

Among everyone present, the most shocked was Tang San himself.

As he flew backward, his mind went blank. His entire arm had practically gone numb.

With another *bang*, Tang San crashed onto a bed, which finally jolted him back to his senses.

He immediately stabilized himself and sat up on the bed, staring in shock at Aotian, who stood there looking as calm and unconcerned as a clear sky.

In that instant of collision, he could feel Aotian's terrifying power—something a six-year-old child could not possibly possess.

He feared that not even a grown man would necessarily have that much power.

Furthermore, his punch had felt like it struck a piece of the hardest refined iron. The toughness of Aotian's fist was beyond his imagination.

He finally understood. Aotian's pride was backed by genuine substance.

The numbness in his right arm forced Tang San to circulate his Mysterious Heaven Skill at full power, only then did sensation slowly return.

"So? Still want to fight?" Aotian asked, smiling at Tang San.

Tang San's face flushed with shame. Just moments ago, he had been boasting about teaching Aotian a lesson.

Yet he had been sent flying in a single move. In terms of power, he had been completely defeated by Aotian.

He got off the bed and said, "You merely have an advantage in power. Victory in battle isn't decided by power alone."

Aotian nodded. "You're right, battle isn't decided by power alone. So, are you planning to beat me with technique?"

Tang San shook his arm. "That was just a warm-up. The real fight is just beginning."

Even though he had lost the first round, Tang San was still full of confidence.

In his previous life, he had lived for over twenty years in a top-tier sect like the Tang Sect. His combat skills were naturally not something a six-year-old child could compare to.

No matter how great Aotian's power was, in Tang San's eyes, it was nothing more than brute force. It wasn't as if he hadn't faced such opponents in his previous life.

"Make your move. I don't have all day to play with you," Aotian said flatly.

Tang San wasted no more words. His feet moved in a strange pattern, not advancing in a straight line, making his path difficult to predict.

This was his unique movement technique, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track!

Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track wasn't skilled in straight-line acceleration, but its strength lay in its unpredictability and constant changes, making it ideal for close-quarters combat and impossible for an opponent to defend against.

In the blink of an eye, Tang San was already next to Aotian.

He didn't attack from the front, but instead began to circle Aotian.

"Tang San's speed is incredible. Even I can't tell when or from where he's going to attack," Wang Sheng exclaimed in amazement.

He finally understood that Tang San had been holding back so much of his strength when they fought.

"Then why doesn't Aotian take the initiative to attack?" another person asked.

"You're overthinking it," said Wang Sheng. "Aotian doesn't even know where Tang San will attack from, so how could he possibly land a hit?"

Wang Sheng had barely finished speaking when the crowd heard a *bang*, and a figure was sent flying backward.

In the center of the room, Aotian still held his punching pose, while Tang San had already crashed onto a bed.

His chest had taken a blow from Aotian. It ached dully, and he couldn't stop coughing violently.

He wore a bewildered expression, unable to understand how Aotian had tracked his movements.

After coughing for a moment, Tang San finally caught his breath. Pushing off with his hands, he leaped up and charged toward Aotian once more.

His hands had already turned the color of white jade. This was a Tang Sect unique skill—Mysterious Jade Hand.

When Mysterious Jade Hand was used, Tang San's hands would become impervious to water and fire, with a hardness comparable to metal.

Tang San's expression was more solemn than ever before. Having been sent flying by Aotian twice, he could no longer keep his face.

The Mysterious Heaven Skill's internal energy in his body began to circulate secretly as he prepared to go all out.

This time, he was going to knock Aotian down.

Empowered by the internal energy of his Mysterious Heaven Skill, Tang San's speed increased by a large margin, and his entire body almost became a phantom.

"So fast!" someone exclaimed.

Xiao Wu's expression grew serious. With Tang San's current speed and bizarre movement technique, even she wasn't certain she could land an attack on him.

"Tang San, is this the full extent of your strength?" Aotian's voice rang out.

Tang San remained silent. Arriving behind Aotian once more, he gathered all his internal energy and the power of his entire body into his right hand, striking Aotian's shoulder with his palm.

His mind was highly focused, on guard against Aotian's attack.

Tang San's palm struck Aotian's shoulder with a dull thud. Aotian's body didn't even budge.

This was the first time Tang San had managed to hit Aotian's body, and it was his all-out strike. Yet, he had failed to even shake him.

Tang San was greatly alarmed. He moved to retreat, but it was already too late.

The hand that had struck Aotian's shoulder was caught. Aotian yanked it hard, and an immense force pulled Tang San's body forward.

Under everyone's gaze, Tang San was smashed into the ground by Aotian with an over-the-shoulder throw.

Even with the protection of his Mysterious Heaven Skill, Tang San felt as if every bone in his body was about to fall apart.
