## Chapter 339: Epic Dinner Time
In the evening, following Phoenix's suggestion, we began preparing for Camping before the Sun set. This was because the sudden rise of firelight at night would attract even more attention from Monsters and Wild Beasts.
"Originally, if it were just me, I'd just rig up a bed in a Tree. It'd be a bit crude, but simple and fast. But I guess spoiled guys like you probably couldn't handle it."
As Phoenix slowly spoke, taking a giant Tent out of his Inventory, his Eyes faithfully aimed at the Three-No Princess, who seemed like a delicate girl.
I think I finally understood why this guy had been dumped 55 times in a row. Besides being a love idiot, his personality of saying whatever came to mind was also a big factor—would it kill you to provoke the Three-No Princess one less time? But perhaps this was also a wise choice; since he had already provoked her once and was destined to die anyway, he might as well provoke her a few more times before dying to make it count.
Seeing the Three-No Princess's beautiful Eyes merge with the dim color of the Forest, I looked at Phoenix with pity once again.
What Phoenix took out was a huge Large Tent. It was hard to say exactly how big, but I knew it was large enough to light a Campfire inside and still pitch three or four other Tents. Pitching such a large Tent would be impossible for an Ordinary Person without most of the day, but for Adventurers like us—especially veterans like Phoenix—it was easy. After finding a clean, dry patch of flat ground near the Riverside, we did a little clearing and then set up the Tent. The whole process took less than half an hour.
The top of the Large Tent was open like a Chimney, allowing the Campfire smoke to dissipate. It could be closed when it rained, which was quite convenient. The only downside was that it was a bit too large and inconvenient to carry.
After setting up the Campfire inside the camp, just as I was about to casually eat some Jerky to fill my stomach, Phoenix's scoffing laughter came from the side.
"Hey, Little Brother Wu Fan, you seem to have forgotten where you are. This is a Forest, a vast Primeval Forest, a Treasure trove containing thousands of types of Food. It's simply ridiculous that you're still eating Jerky."
Looking back, Phoenix had entered "forest expert mode," putting on a very impressive appearance as he lectured me, telling me to put down the Jerky in my hand.
Speaking of which, I noticed this guy was particularly fussy about little things. It was just Dinner, wasn't it? We were out for a Trial, not a hunting trip. Why be so particular about this? Perhaps this was precisely the Difference in Viewpoint between Adventurers and Wanderers.
"Alright, then tell me what we should do?"
Since Phoenix had made a Suggestion, I naturally didn't object to getting something good to eat. After all, no matter when, you shouldn't treat yourself badly, right?
"Leave it to me, the expert. I guarantee you'll have an unforgettable Dinner. As for you, Little Brother, if you're interested, you can also go look around. As long as it's edible, I can turn it into a Delicacy," Phoenix said proudly.
"Alright. A Wilderness survival Game? That's not a bad idea. Let's each go search separately then."
I took out my Crystal Sword, tied a thin line to one end, and prepared to go take a look by the Riverside.
"I don't know if it's my Illusion, but I've noticed you seem to have a fondness for fishing," Phoenix said from the side, looking at my Action somewhat speechless.
"It's just your Illusion."
I couldn't exactly say that I couldn't enter the Forest, and that I would definitely get lost as soon as I entered...
"But Little Brother, I don't think you'll be able to catch any edible Fish."
Before we acted separately, Phoenix patted my Shoulder and said meaningfully. Hmph, I ignored him. How could I know without trying? I continued to uphold the idea that practice is the sole Standard for testing truth, and strode towards the River while the Sun hadn't set yet.
However, ten minutes later, I finally understood the meaning of Phoenix's meaningful Gaze.
Question 1: Are there Fish in the river? Of course there are.
Question 2: Are there many Fish in the river? Of course there are.
Question 3: With so many Fish, what's easiest to catch?
The answer is...
Piranha.
Blankly, I tied the innocently struggling Earthworm to the other end of the thin line. I cast it out for the nth time. The poor little Earthworm hadn't even landed on the water surface when a Shadow shot up from the water and swallowed the bait with its saw-like sharp mouth. Following that Shadow were several more Shadows, some biting onto the thin line, others even simply dragging the Tail of the Shadow in front, forming a long string.
Yes, 12 Piranha obtained.
With a gentle flick, I pulled up the end of the line that had had no chance to enter the water until now. A long string of Piranha was thus thrown high up into the Mid-air and then dropped to the side.
Turning my head, I looked at the mountain of Fish piled up beside me, taller than myself. They were all uniformly greyish-brown small fish, half a foot long, with flat Bodies, saw-like teeth, and knife-like fins. Catching so many in 10 minutes should have made me happy, but why did I have a Feeling like I wanted to cry?
Never mind, anyway, Phoenix said that as long as it's edible, he can turn it into a Delicacy. I thought grumpily, feeling that I had enough Fish. Should I get something else? I wandered upstream and downstream along the River for a while and soon discovered a huge four-legged animal, lazily lying on the Riverbank, seemingly enjoying the afterglow of the setting sun.
Oh, oh,
