Chapter 839: Decapitation
The Destroyer Celestial swung his giant fist, unleashing a pillar of energy that shot straight toward Tony.
The other Celestials closed in again, attacking Tony with frantic intensity.
Tony appeared somewhat battered. His body shattered time and again, only to recover in an instant. The vast aggregate of information he had stored over the years had become the wellspring of power for his self-repair.
A Singular God was truly not that easy to kill, far tougher than a Quasi-Unique God or a Multiversal God.
After several clashes, the Multiverse had suffered immense repercussions. Countless beings were startled, their brows furrowed in concern. Some simply resigned themselves to waiting for the Multiverse to be rebooted once more.
After all, many of the gods among them had experienced this not just once or twice.
"The Celestials and the New Gods... I can't afford to provoke either of them."
"Last time, that menace Mr. Mxyzptlk rebooted the Multiverse. I wonder who will have to take responsibility this time."
The last time, Mr. Mxyzptlk had shattered the Multiverse with a fart and then restored it with a snap of his fingers, causing almost no impact on the myriad lives within—except for those unlucky Level Eight deities. They could perceive Mr. Mxyzptlk's actions and knew the Multiverse had been destroyed, but they could only passively accept it.
Mr. Mxyzptlk was backed by the Fifth Dimension; few dared to cross him.
But this time... it was either the New Gods or the Celestials. Someone would have to step up to clean up the mess and restore the chaotic Multiverse to its pre-war stability.
At this moment, the Speed Force's collective consciousness finally focused the vast majority of its attention here, its gaze fixed upon Tony and the Celestials. Terrifying streams of the Speed Force gathered from all directions, eyeing the six gods with predatory intent.
*Poof!*
Once again, Tony was left battered and bruised by the five Celestials' assault, but he recovered in the blink of an eye, giving the five Celestials an immense headache.
The power extending from the Speed Force Wall gave them an even bigger headache.
"A Singular God is the Multiverse's greatest threat. We are carrying out a mission for the Celestials," the Destroyer Celestial said gravely to the Speed Force's collective consciousness.
But the Speed Force's collective consciousness ignored him, continuing to glare at them with undisguised malice, eager to make a move.
The Speed Force Wall was created by The Flash; its operational logic was a completely different system from that of the Celestials.
The Celestials were living beings, but the Speed Force Wall was not. In the end, it was just a super-program wielding immense power.
The Celestials' headaches intensified.
The Speed Force Wall never reasoned with anyone.
Damn it all, it's Tony's fault!
The four Celestials glared fiercely at Tony, who was pinning down the Collector and beating him mercilessly, their eyes glinting with malice.
If it weren't for Tony being here, the Speed Force Wall wouldn't have mobilized, no matter what kind of mess these natives made.
It had appeared only because Tony, this Singular God, was present!
"What are you doing? Get over here and help me!" The Collector was about to cough up blood. The warhammer in his hand was long gone; the weapon had been corrupted by the Allspark, rendering it almost useless.
The Collector also discovered to his horror that the power of the Allspark was constantly extending, breaking through the defense systems within his body layer by layer. Those complex defensive systems, which had taken him billions of years to painstakingly build, might not be on par with divine artifacts, but they could definitely crush many multiversal ones.
But now, the bodily system he was so proud of, like the clothes of a bullied little girl, was being brutally stripped away layer by layer by the Allspark.
With every passing moment, a part of the Collector's body was breached. Those incredibly complex internal defense systems only served to slightly slow the Allspark's invasion of his core program.
The Collector was absolutely certain that if the other four Celestials weren't here to help today, he would have been devoured by Tony in a one-on-one fight, without even a speck of bone left. His will would be completely erased, and he would be turned into someone else!
The Collector was genuinely starting to panic.
He now understood how the OAA Celestial, who had been pushed out as a sacrificial lamb for reconnaissance, must have felt.
Tony must die! The Allspark must be in the hands of them, the Celestials!
This thought arose in the Collector's mind, and he began to frantically plead for help from the Destroyer Celestial and the other three.
*Boom!*
Tony was sent flying backward. Enveloped by Celestial energy, he was injured once again. The only thing that remained unchanged was the cold, indifferent look in his eyes.
He... was still staring at the Collector, a stare so intense that the Collector nearly burst out cursing.
The stored aggregate of information surged forth, repairing his body. This kind of basic energy conversion was a mandatory lesson for every Singular God.
Tony was already holding back, not recklessly spreading the virus-like aggregate of information, otherwise who knows how many universes would suffer. He was also wary, on guard against the Speed Force Wall attacking or expelling him.
"If it really comes to that..." Tony frowned, feeling his body recover once more and the complete cycle of his internal energy system, a steady stream of backup power emanating from within.
If this fight were to continue, Tony might really be killed by the five Celestials, but who knew how long that would take.
Before Tony's main body could be destroyed, the Multiverse would first suffer a great calamity. Even if it wasn't destroyed and rebooted, it would be largely devastated.
The key was the Speed Force Wall...
Tony met the gaze of the Speed Force's collective consciousness with a cold stare.
At least for now, he hadn't crossed the Speed Force's bottom line, but he was close. The Speed Force could make its move at any moment.
"Tony, give me the Allspark, and all of this will end!" The Destroyer Celestial extended a hand toward Tony and roared, "Continuing this fight will do neither of us any good. Hand over the Allspark, that ominous artifact, and we will turn and leave!"
"The Celestials never lie!"
The Destroyer Celestial was incredibly frustrated.
According to his plan, he should have gathered five Celestials, taken out Tony's main body as quickly as possible, seized the Allspark, and ended it all. As for Tony's retaliation... without the Allspark and having lost his main body, who knew how many years it would take for him to gain the power for revenge.
The Destroyer Celestial was confident that as long as he obtained the Allspark, he could surpass everything! He could become a higher-level god!
"As long as you hand over the Allspark, I can also promise to give you the Faerie Force. You know the value of the Faerie Force! I will even give you control over the complete system that seals the Faerie Force!"
The Destroyer Celestial looked at Tony with agitation. The attitude of the Speed Force's collective consciousness toward him made him very uneasy. Tony's incredible resilience and the terrifying endurance he displayed made the Destroyer Celestial even more furious.
Everyone's attention was focused on Tony.
After a pause, Tony suddenly smiled. In his hand, an illusory spark appeared. Under the wavering gazes of the Celestials, he sneered in a low voice, "Isn't this what you want? Have you noticed? The Allspark's suppression of you is catastrophic. For example, like this..."
Suddenly, Tony beckoned with his hand. An immense power gathered and swiftly shot towards the Collector. Even stranger, the Collector's body, which was about to move, suddenly froze for an instant, allowing the beam of light to pierce through his head.
Amidst a deafening roar, Tony grabbed the Collector's giant head.
"I said, I'm going to hang your head on Cybertron as a decoration!"
"You shall die!" The four Celestials were thoroughly enraged.
"Although I can't just transform the Collector into my toy on the spot, I can still cause a disruption to his system with a sudden burst of power..."
Tony shrugged, holding the Celestial's head, which was much larger than his entire body.
"You heaps of scrap metal are nothing but a pile of toys in my eyes!"
