Chapter 843

Chapter 827: Demolition

October 19, 2022 | Author: Great Demon Spirit

Darkseid's Omega Effect and the Anti-Life Equation have a secret connection, and Tony was well aware of this.

And it wasn't until now, after Tony had witnessed the terror of the Anti-Life Equation with his own eyes, that he finally understood why Darkseid pursued it so relentlessly.

"The equation by itself has limited effectiveness against a Singular God. While it has an effect, it's subtle and not enough to be decisive. But if it were combined with the Omega Effect to create something new... I'm afraid even a Singular God would become prey to this new equation."

Tony's gaze grew solemn.

For the first time, the Singular God was no longer "invincible."

Of course, a Singular God isn't undying and indestructible. In fact, any other unique artifact possesses the immense power to kill the main body or a clone of a Singular God. Take the Ultimate Nullifier, for example. That artifact, which resembles a cigarette lighter, could instantly kill even the main bodies of beings as powerful as the founding Five Great Cosmic Entities with a simple flick, even in the hands of an infant.

But this hypothetical new equation was a terrifying weapon, like a natural enemy to a Singular God. Before this new formula, Tony feared there was essentially no difference between a Singular God and a multiversal life-form—both would be targets the new equation could easily hunt.

Tony just watched Mobius in silence, following behind him. He observed as the other used the Anti-Life Equation to crushingly slaughter countless lives. One universe after another fell at Mobius's feet, turning into dust within the Blood Realm.

Using his Level Eight power, Tony gathered the vast amounts of matter and energy. A layer of an energy field covered the exterior, preventing the Blood Realm from eroding and annihilating these materials.

"The tenth universe..."

"The twentieth..."

"The thirtieth..."

"Just how long do you plan on following me?" Mobius's power was growing stronger and stronger. Only when he could no longer conceal the fluctuations radiating from his body did he ask Tony in a deep voice.

His not asking meant he could still hide his surging power. Asking meant he had reached the critical point of ascension to Level Eight.

"You barely managed to advance after devouring thirty whole universes, and that's not even counting the few you secretly destroyed before... If you want to reach the peak of Level Eight to fight Darkseid, you'll need to sacrifice several thousand universes at the very least. To be safe, you'd better destroy tens of thousands."

Tony said with a calm expression.

Mobius spread his large hand, pressed it onto his head, and tore viciously. The super armor he had worn back when he was the Anti-Monitor was now like modeling clay, clearly showing the imprint of his palm.

The constricting helmet was ripped off, revealing a round head covered in ravines like a rock face.

Then, a terrifying energy index that surpassed the limits of a single universe skyrocketed. Mobius's expression was stiff and cold as he reached out again and tore off the armor on his body.

The instant the bulky old armor was ripped away, beams of the Anti-Life Equation surged from within Mobius's body, forming a suit of magnificent, dark-colored plate mail that was both powerful and mysterious.

"I don't understand what you're talking about," Mobius said coldly.

Tony remained calm, staring fixedly at him. Then, the corners of his mouth lifted, revealing undisguised mockery.

"How did you know I'm looking for Darkseid?!" Mobius roared, his power surging wildly. The Blood Realm trembled, and the high-dimensional red energy grew violent. Red tsunamis rose one after another, brewing with might capable of easily annihilating a Level Seven being.

"You told me. Forgotten?"

Tony stated flatly.

Mobius's aura faltered, and he became a little flustered.

"I did?" Mobius looked bewildered.

"You did. It was that time, when we were face-to-face. You said it then," Tony said earnestly.

"I did... No, I didn't! I never said that!"

"Then I must have remembered incorrectly. What's the rush? With that kind of patience, you still want to find Darkseid?" Tony's tone was casual, enough to make one want to punch him.

Mobius was furious, a vicious glint appearing in his eyes.

"Let's continue. I've estimated that another seventy universes should be enough to gather the resources I need."

Tony said faintly.

There was no other way. Almost all the matter in the entire Omni-Sphere World was stored within its countless universes. Without the universes, this scattered matter would be churned to pieces and assimilated by the terrifying energy of the Blood Realm in a very short time.

To build a Maximal Planet comparable in size to a universe, he had no choice but to target other universes.

Silently, Tony's brow furrowed slightly before quickly relaxing.

Tony sensed a fluctuation from the Speed Force's collective consciousness. The feeling was very unpleasant; the Speed Force was watching him day and night as if he were a thief.

Mobius looked at Tony coldly and suddenly sneered, "Without me, you wouldn't even dare to destroy a single pocket universe. You, a Singular God, are utterly pathetic."

Tony's expression was calm. "Although I can't easily wreak havoc on the multiverse, if I was determined to do one last job and leave, I could still tear the multiverse apart."

Mobius gave a dry, cold laugh. Suppressing the fire and killing intent in his heart, he sullenly charged toward the next universe.

As time passed, Mobius destroyed one universe after another. He grew stronger and stronger, his power level easily reaching Level Eight. On his gloomy face, the fanaticism deep in his eyes became more and more obvious.

Destruction is addictive, especially when Mobius gained tangible power through constant annihilation.

Finally, the one-hundredth universe was destroyed. Tony collected all the remaining matter and resources. The most basic materials for building the planet were now more or less gathered.

"If it's not enough, I'll come find you again," Tony said.

"..."

Mobius paused, then said in a chilling voice, "My power is constantly growing stronger. I can't guarantee I won't casually destroy the pocket universe you use to monitor me."

"Don't worry. I can sense the lethal threat you exude towards life-forms from the other side of the multiverse. It won't be hard to find you."

Tony said, as a terrifyingly immense mass of resources levitated between his hands. It spread out for an unknown number of billions of light-years—the total mass of a full one hundred universes, astonishingly large.

Tony's figure quickly vanished from the spot, along with the residual matter and energy of those one hundred universes.

Mobius clenched his fists tightly, fine beams of light occasionally shooting out. On his grim face, a look of internal struggle flashed and was gone.

He coldly watched Tony depart, restraining himself again and again, but did not make a move.

Logically, Mobius should have possessed the strength to fight Tony, but he didn't want to take the risk. Many powerful deities had fallen at Tony's hands over the years. Mobius could afford to lay low for a while longer and grow even stronger; there was no need to take such a gamble.

"Everything will come to a conclusion, just not now..." Mobius muttered to himself, then continued his search for the next target of destruction.
