Chapter 812: Celestial Armor
When Zarathos fell into Raven's hands, he was so moved he wanted to cry. He felt he had finally escaped his sea of suffering, for the grim-faced Doomsday King Kong was no longer following him from behind.
However, he had no idea that this could very well be the beginning of a new nightmare.
Raven, with the blood of Trigon flowing through her veins, became Trigon's number one general in the original story. She personally slaughtered countless universes and was a queen of Hell whose name struck fear into the hearts of innumerable beings.
A Demon falling into the hands of the Demon King's only daughter... Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Duzun would only parade Zarathos around to show him off, but Raven? Who knew what kind of magical experiments that woman was plotting to use Zarathos for...
Zarathos looked at Raven with gratitude. Sensing the faint yet pure demonic aura on her, his face lit up with surprise, feeling he had found the right person to follow.
"You're Raven, right?! I know you, you're Trigon's daughter! The master of Cybertron fought your father more than once just to get his hands on you!"
Zarathos lowered his head, his meter-long skull trembling with excitement.
Raven's originally gentle movements suddenly stiffened.
Anyone who knew her even slightly was aware that the one thing Raven hated most was Trigon...
Very well, now you're truly going to die.
The people around her all took three steps back in unison, looking at the dim-witted Great Demon with pity.
...
Earth.
Tony Stark had been incredibly busy lately. Ever since the Blackest Night ended, he had thrown himself into a new project—not studying the Emotional Spectrum. Although that stuff was powerful, it wasn't Tony's area of expertise. He was focused on another item he had recently acquired.
The body of The Final Arbiter Lord, a colossal frame of two thousand feet, had successfully captured Tony's attention.
During the Blackest Night, the greatest crisis Earthlings faced was the resurrected Final Arbiter Lord. Black Bolt, also Level Seven, had rushed over from the Moon, but against The Final Arbiter Lord, he couldn't even withstand a single move and was blown apart on the spot!
Though both were Level Seven, the difference in their demonstrated combat power was absurdly vast.
"The genetic code within this big guy's body actually contains the common gene sequence of life on Earth... Is this a coincidence?"
Tony stretched out his fingers, rapidly swiping through the virtual screen in the air, his expression solemn as he stared at the massive amount of data appearing on it.
"Sir, this will rewrite the history of the origin of life on Earth. Without a doubt, you will win this year's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine."
Jarvis faithfully chatted with Tony.
"Send a copy of this data to The Bat in Gotham City. The Bat is far too paranoid. If I don't open up my research results to him, he won't rest easy and will probably sneak in to steal the data at some point."
Tony didn't even look up, his focus entirely on the work at hand.
Bruce Wayne was a real headache sometimes. But there was nothing to be done. If Tony hadn't made that promise, the damaged body of The Final Arbiter Lord would never have ended up in his hands.
Sharing the results was the most basic requirement. Both the Avengers and the Justice League would be keeping a close eye on this matter to prevent any unnecessary incidents.
"The Final Arbiter Lord, plus the strange insect limbs Stephen brought back from underground... Who would have thought the origin of Earthlings would be something like this..."
Tony's expression was complicated.
In truth, he had yet to uncover the deeper truth: the origin of life on Earth actually came from the vomit of a Final Arbiter Lord after it had been parasitized by cosmic locusts...
It was a rather embarrassing origin story, but it was indeed the truest one.
But Tony was in no mood to collect any Nobel Prize right now; he had no need for that kind of thing.
"Jarvis, I have a crazy idea!"
Tony grabbed a hamburger from a nearby fridge and, while chewing on it fiercely, stared intently at The Final Arbiter Lord.
"What do you say... if I augment this guy into my armor?"
Without waiting for Jarvis to respond, Tony continued, "The enemies we face are getting stronger and more terrifying. To keep viewing this world with the same perspective we had a decade or two ago would be the most foolish kind of thinking. Before, I was powerless—getting dismantled by whoever I fought—but now..."
Tony's eyes were terrifyingly bright!
A suit of super armor augmented from a Final Arbiter Lord!
A giant robot over two thousand feet tall, which was six hundred meters!
Coupled with this thing's terrifying energy index, even if it couldn't reach the combat power of its peak, it should still be able to maintain a Level Seven combat power after the augmentation, right?
For Tony, this was a qualitative leap!
"Jarvis, I've always believed that a god is just a product of life's evolution. Tony's growth is a perfect testament to that! And now, I have an unprecedented opportunity to wield a god with the body of a mortal!"
Tony waved his arms excitedly. His hair was a mess, and his face was pale from a long-term lack of sleep, but that couldn't stop his mental exhilaration.
He even tossed aside the half-eaten hamburger.
Tony's life was hard, Iron Man's life was miserable. One absurdly powerful enemy appeared after another, and the armor Tony painstakingly built and constantly upgraded was dismantled time and time again. The tragic spell of getting dismantled by whoever he fought seemed unbreakable.
And this was with that guy Tony holding back the most terrifying batch of enemies, leaving these so-called "powerful foes" for the superheroes, who were, in reality, just a bunch of second-rate opponents.
How could the proud Tony Stark possibly tolerate that?
But now, Tony saw the perfect opportunity for a major comeback. He had obtained the body of The Final Arbiter Lord and could completely augment this behemoth into Celestial Armor!
"That is a brilliant idea, sir. You are truly a genius," Jarvis laid on the flattery. It had to; among the programs Tony had added to it, there was a dedicated module on how to flatter him.
Such a thoughtful little assistant.
As if shot with adrenaline, Tony immediately got to work, ordering Jarvis to rapidly scan The Final Arbiter Lord and find the optimal augmentation plan.
The Celestials were originally weapons created by Eternity, but at Eternity's level, the Celestials it created were vastly different from the robots that Earthlings imagined.
But this was no challenge for the genius Tony. He didn't need to build a new Celestial from scratch, he just needed to augment an existing one.
...
Just as Tony was pouring all his focus onto The Final Arbiter Lord, a group of tall beings arrived in the Blood Realm. They were similar in appearance, but their bodies emanated different colors.
A terrifying aura spread out, causing a minor commotion in the Blood Realm. The bulb-like spheres on their bodies could easily shine through countless universes, demonstrating the terrifying energy stored within them.
