Chapter 808

Chapter 792: The Spectre's Supreme Judgment

The living beings on Earth united as never before, creating a rainbow barrier in outer space vast enough to enclose the entire planet. Every living soul was either a wielder of a Lantern Ring or a candidate, and their power was drawn out through the rings, forming a tangible force.

This resolve to fight the darkness allowed all life on Earth to unleash immense power.

Hordes of Black Lanterns were cast out from Earth, though a great number of Lanterns also fell in battle. It was unavoidable.

Just as the situation seemed to be stabilizing, no one could have anticipated that a terrifying figure would personally arrive on Earth.

Nekron lightly swung his scythe, shattering a large section of the barrier in a single blow. Countless Lanterns were immediately consumed by the surging dark power, dying from the backlash and transforming into Black Lanterns.

This emotional barrier, which gathered the power of most of Earth's inhabitants, couldn't even withstand a single, casual strike from Nekron.

After carving an opening, Nekron's true body descended upon Earth.

Wherever he passed, light suffocated and darkness surged.

Nekron was the ultimate abyss, the absolute nemesis of all living beings, and their final gravedigger.

No one wished for death, but it was no longer a matter of choice. Nekron had his eyes on them, and everyone would have to face his judgment.

His blurry form gradually solidified as Nekron appeared in a graveyard. All around, numerous tombstones had been overturned, the corpses within long since turned into zombies, sent to torment the friends and family they had in life.

United by a common enemy, a host of superheroes arrived one after another, their gazes fixed coldly on Nekron.

"He is Nekron, the source of all this disaster, the one and only master of all Black Lantern Rings!" Ganthet said gravely, arriving with Saint Walker.

As the place where the Blackest Night began, Earth naturally attracted a great deal of attention. It was only natural that someone like Ganthet would lead the Blue Lantern Corps straight here.

Not the slightest flicker of emotion showed on Nekron's withered face, as if those surrounding him were nothing more than insignificant insects.

"Attack!!"

With a low roar, Clark was the first to charge. The light of a Blue Lantern shone brightly from his powerful frame as the power of compassion hammered into Nekron.

Piloting his Iron Suit, Tony also attacked at once, his willpower flaring as he struck at Nekron.

More and more Lanterns rushed over, along with a huge number of superheroes and ordinary people wielding Lantern Rings. In this way, the Seven Lantern Corps assembled.

Soon, tens of thousands of Lanterns wearing rings of various colors surrounded the silently standing Nekron. Hatred filled their eyes as they frantically unleashed energy from their Lantern Rings.

The seven-colored pillars of energy almost seemed to submerge the Earth, as a seemingly endless ocean of emotion roared and surged towards Nekron.

Nekron didn't react at all. He just stood there quietly.

BOOM!

The emotional tsunami struck, causing the entire Earth to tremble faintly and the Emotional Spectrum to fluctuate. Nekron's body remained motionless, bearing the full brunt of the tsunami's impact.

Yet, to the horror of countless people, under this terrifyingly powerful assault, the besieged Nekron seemed completely unaffected, just standing there quietly.

The black light around his body coiled tightly around him, the ultimate darkness continuously devouring the various forms of emotional energy that assailed him.

To Nekron, the assault by tens of thousands of Lanterns was no different from being swarmed by ants. They were all destined to die sooner or later.

"It's... useless?"

"Damn it, we've gathered so many warriors! How can it be useless!!"

"Light is the natural enemy of darkness, but now... why is this happening!"

The Lanterns were stunned, staring dumbfounded at the unharmed Nekron as a bone-chilling cold rose in their hearts.

In truth, many had already prepared to be swept aside by Nekron, just as Steppenwolf's clone had once devastated all of Earth's superheroes.

But a monster like Nekron, who didn't even fight back, quietly enduring their attacks without suffering so much as a scratch, truly drove them to despair.

How could they possibly defeat an enemy who could simply ignore their most powerful attacks?

They could see absolutely no hope of defeating Nekron!

"It's not here..."

Nekron finally looked up, as if waking from a dream, and murmured in confusion.

His dead eyes swept over the Lanterns and their varied expressions. Nekron simply opened his mouth, and immediately, countless Black Lantern Rings gushed out like a geyser!

Moreover, the speed at which these Lantern Rings moved was terrifyingly fast!!

"Look out! Fall back!!"

Clark roared!

But it was too late.

A massive number of Black Lantern Rings surged towards the panicked Lanterns, moving so fast they couldn't even react. Soon, a multitude of soul-crushing, mechanical voices rang out:

"Clark Kent of Earth. Die!"

"Diana of Earth. Die!"

"Peter Parker of Earth. Die!"

"Die!"

"Die!"

"Die!"

In that instant, countless Lanterns had Black Lantern Rings forced upon them. Darkness erupted, instantly shattering their willpower and forcing their transformation into Black Lanterns.

Even though they were Lanterns already wearing other power rings, they were still unable to resist the power of the Black Lantern Rings.

Therefore, these new Black Lanterns were even more terrifying!

A large number of Lanterns fell. On one hand, they wore a standard light ring, emitting its colored light; on the other, they wore a Black Lantern Ring. Most of their bodies had withered into the desiccated forms of Black Lanterns.

The priority of the Black Lantern Rings was far higher than that of the other standard light rings, enough to firmly control these Lanterns.

Every Black Lantern Ring was a terrifying, endlessly replicating virus, to say nothing of these rings spat out by Nekron himself just to "clean up the trash."

"Nekron!!!"

A hysterical roar echoed from the sky above. The Spectre had finally arrived on the Earth of the Prime Universe, having tracked Nekron's aura. The sight of the countless undead souls clinging to his foe sent The Spectre into a towering wrath.

The tragic sight of the multi-colored Lanterns suffering widespread corruption, as if by a viral infection, made The Spectre's eyes burn with fury.

At this moment, The Spectre's combat power surged to its peak. The greater the rage in his heart, the stronger his combat power became.

"You will face judgment!!" The Spectre roared!

But Nekron completely ignored him, slowly stepping forward and then blatantly walking right past The Spectre...

In Nekron's eyes, it was as if The Spectre didn't even exist. There was absolutely nothing about him that could attract Nekron's attention.

"Die!"

The Spectre charged forward, unleashing the judgment of the Spirit of Vengeance. This power, originating from a Level Ten God, possessed a terrifyingly high authority and priority in any world.

The Spectre was confident. With the sheer amount of sin clinging to Nekron, he could deliver an instant kill in a single move!!

The more sin-ridden the villains, the less they could resist his judgment!
