Chapter 804

Chapter 788: The Spectre: Where is Nekron?

"The timing is a bit early..."

Tony, who had just emerged from the Speed Force Prison, returned to Earth immediately. He looked up at the inky black sky and the countless Lanterns fighting desperately beneath the shroud of night.

He pondered as he received various pieces of information transmitted from his main body.

Having escaped the Speed Force Prison, the shared nature of his divinity allowed for seamless, real-time communication between his main body and this clone. It was as if a single soul now possessed two bodies.

This clone, which had just come out of the Speed Force Prison, was formed after Tony had split off a full tenth of his divinity. It was originally intended for a great purpose, but now that events had been moved up so much, he could only hurry and take action.

"If I fail, both my main body and I will be killed by Nekron. Over in the Nirvana Universe, the Divine Power Clone is holding the fort. There might still be a chance to turn the tables... though it's a slim one."

Tony walked upon the lands of Earth. In the pitch-black night, shadowy Black Lantern zombies watched him with greedy eyes, only to be casually struck down by Tony. A large number of Black Lantern Rings were confiscated.

He was like an ascetic monk walking through the darkness, coldly and silently observing it all.

In truth, it wouldn't be difficult for Tony to survive. He just needed to find the White Lantern. Nekron's first objective upon awakening was to kill the Life Entity. As long as Tony stayed far away, Nekron wouldn't be interested in killing him specifically.

But Tony didn't want to just scrape by. To grow stronger, he had to take risks. He wanted to seize this rare opportunity to break through the limits of a single-entity being and advance to the multiversal level, and that required taking a gamble.

If he didn't grasp this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, who knew when Tony would be able to shatter that despairing barrier? Ten thousand years? A hundred thousand? A million? Or even longer?

This was no exaggeration. Any of the deities living in the Sphere of the Gods was billions of years old, yet most of them were at Level Eight. Those at Level Nine were few and far between.

No matter how confident or arrogant Tony was, he didn't think he was more monstrously talented than those ancient deities.

Therefore, he had to seize every opportunity, especially a multiverse-spanning major event like the Blackest Night.

"I will definitely become a god. The risk is worth it." Tony crushed legions of Black Lantern zombies along his path, but their numbers were still endless.

Across the entire Earth, under a unified command, an enormous, dazzling barrier of seven brilliant colors slowly rose. It sheltered the people under the light, slowly but firmly pushing back the darkness bit by bit.

Tony merely glanced up before shifting his attention.

It was a decent plan, creating an emotional protective barrier to envelop Earth. But that was all it was. It was fine against ordinary Black Lantern zombies, but against a true powerhouse, such a barrier would shatter on contact.

"Where on earth is it..." Tony murmured softly.

...

After breaking out of the Speed Force Prison, Savitar had vanished without a trace. That guy had his own plans; he was single-mindedly focused on killing The Flash, and Tony was just a target he had used.

As for the other one, The Spectre, he was like an enraged cat the moment he left the Speed Force Prison.

His eyes widened, watching in shock as the multiverse was rapidly devoured by darkness. A towering rage surged within him, completely uncontrollable.

The Spectre felt a stinging pain in his soul. Countless souls struggling in the darkness were looking up at him, wailing and extending their hands to him for help.

The instinct of the Spirit of Vengeance, an instinct born from a deep connection with countless souls, allowed The Spectre to feel the omnipresent suffering throughout the multiverse more keenly than anyone else. It was the despair of the living.

"You deserve to die!!!"

The Spectre was profoundly enraged. Since his birth, he had never been so furious!

He had passed judgment on many villains, but he had never encountered a situation like today's.

A madman who wanted to permanently destroy all life in the entire multiverse.

The Spectre was deeply shocked and enraged.

"Many have destroyed the multiverse, but no one has ever tried to turn it into a permanent, massive graveyard..."

The Spectre's face was ashen. His disheveled hair hung over his shoulders, and his wrinkled features twitched. He commanded his host body, his rage practically setting the universe ablaze. With a fierce, cold glint in his eyes, he was already flying rapidly toward the Prime Universe.

That was the source of the darkness, and also the place where the resistance against it was most intense. The Spectre could sense this clearly.

He was frantic. He watched as the darkness spread, devouring countless universes every second, leaving them to suffer under the tide of Black Lantern zombies.

Soon, the Prime Universe was right before him. The Spectre stepped into it, his gaze sweeping over everything.

A Black Lantern zombie spotted him, but unexpectedly, it just gave The Spectre a silent glance before turning its head away, enthusiastically searching for other targets.

Many other Black Lantern zombies also noticed The Spectre, but they all seemed completely uninterested.

"You all deserve to die! To toy with the dead is a heinous crime! Accept the judgment of justice!!!"

The Spectre roared at these zombies.

One of the zombies finally looked at him properly. It seemed to ponder for a moment, then suddenly retched, spitting out a mouthful of black blood. A Black Lantern Ring formed and was tossed toward The Spectre.

The Spectre sneered, "Pathetic creature."

He killed these zombies with lightning-fast speed, smirking as he watched the Black Lantern Ring float leisurely toward him.

"Is this a projection of Nekron's will? How laughable. Countless living beings are being toyed with by a tiny power ring. This is blasphemy against life!"

The Spectre berated Nekron, then roared again, "And you, Death! You're useless too! Nekron is destroying the multiverse, and you, a creator god of the multiverse, do nothing to stop him! After I deal with Nekron, you're next! You are not worthy of being a deity! None of you Five Great Gods are worthy!"

The Spectre made up his mind. After he killed Nekron, he would personally purge the Five Great Gods. At worst, he would just kill them all and replace them with more reliable beings.

In a distant, unknown region, Death was observing the events in the Prime Universe. Upon hearing The Spectre's words of judgment across space-time, her face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

"What the hell does this have to do with me???"

Death's expression shifted, and she exploded with anger.

You think I *want* to see my own backyard get trashed by some old geezer?

You think I don't want to fight back?

You think that just because I am Death, I want all life to die? If everything died, who the hell would supply me with an endless stream of souls???

When it came to hatred for Nekron, Death's was the greatest and most frenzied of all. Right now, she was weakening rapidly with every passing moment and had already fallen to the demigod level. Nekron was draining her very foundation, even gradually erasing all traces and information of her existence.
