Chapter 785

Chapter 769: Capturing the Lantern Entities (2)

The sound from the Central Power Battery startled the entire planet of Oa. The hundreds of stationed Lanterns flew over, their roars a mixture of shock and anger.

"Who goes there!"

"Put down the Power Battery!"

The Lanterns roared furiously. Some of them attacked directly, only to be effortlessly knocked unconscious and tossed aside by Tony.

These members of the Green Lantern Corps were, indeed, fulfilling their duties, guarding their respective sectors and fighting criminals. If possible, Tony didn't mind sparing their lives.

However, if those Guardians dared to attack him, Tony would be more than happy to crush the skulls of those fools.

Blast after blast of willpower energy slammed into Tony's body, but he felt nothing. The full-powered attacks of these Lanterns couldn't even harm a single hair on his head; the difference in their life forms and energy levels was too vast.

The Supreme Green Lantern serving as the commander warned indifferently, "Tony, you are declaring war on Oa!"

Bang!

Tony casually lifted his hand, and the Supreme Lantern's body was blasted to smithereens by the power of the One-Above-All. Broken parts scattered in all directions. Even the Green Lantern Power Battery in his chest was shattered by Tony, leaving only a head glowing with green light.

A life form like the Supreme Lantern, who had been augmented into a robot, only had a living brain. The rest of his body had become a hybrid of machinery and willpower energy. Even his heart had been replaced by a Green Lantern Power Battery, granting the Supreme Lantern terrifying endurance, unlike other Lanterns whose rings would run out of energy during prolonged battles.

Tony hoisted the massive Central Power Battery onto his shoulder. His icy gaze swept over the hundreds of Lanterns surrounding him. A terrifying pressure weighed down on their hearts, making it hard for them to breathe, as if they were being watched by some natural predator.

The Central Power Battery suddenly began to surge violently. The willpower energy within it leaked out, and green light, accumulated over countless years, spread out in waves. Along with this diffusion of green, a powerful and pure aura abruptly appeared.

It was a... shark.

The Green Lantern entity, Ion—Tony's target for this trip.

"I was wondering how long you could keep up the disguise."

Tony looked at the giant creature in the sky with a sneer. The translucent green shark was astonishingly large, its body shrouded in a formidable and indestructible power of willpower, sturdier than the toughest stone.

"Leave this place!"

Ion looked down at Tony and spoke in a deep voice.

Expressionless, Tony dropped the Power Battery with a loud crash, shot into the sky, and slammed viciously into Ion.

"I'll leave once you come with me."

ROAR!!!

Ion roared, whipping its tail with enough force to shatter mountains. It was powerful and strong, the power of willpower churning madly and radiating outwards at an incredible speed. The ring of every Lantern affected by Ion began to flash wildly with green light as their energy levels skyrocketed.

Hundreds of Lanterns roared and charged at Tony, while some sent out distress signals to the Guardians.

A group of defiant Lanterns launched a desperate attack on Tony.

Ion glared at the surrounding Lanterns, roared, and was about to whip its tail and dive into the nearest Lantern's body. But before it could act, it was smashed by Tony's fierce punch. It cried out in pain as the majority of its body dissipated in an instant, only to reform immediately under the power of immense willpower.

Tony's face was cold. He reached out, grabbed Ion, and with a vicious tear, ripped off a fin.

He wouldn't create trouble for himself by allowing Ion to find a Lantern and merge to become the hero Ion. That would just waste more time and effort.

In Tony's hands, the massive Ion was like a big toy. Its body was soon riddled with holes, and its own regeneration speed couldn't keep up with the rate of Tony's destruction.

The hundreds of Lanterns created all sorts of bizarre willpower constructs, but they were meaningless when they hit Tony. Instead, they were shattered to pieces by his casual attacks.

Every moment, Lanterns were sent flying, coughing up blood or knocked out cold by Tony's casual blows.

The so-called garrison force of Oa was utterly fragile before Tony, who had come in person.

Perhaps the Guardians' greatest trump card was Ion, but the shark was being beaten senseless by Tony in an instant, without the slightest chance to fight back, let alone merge with a Lantern to become the hero Ion.

The great planet of Oa soon fell. Collapsing buildings wailed and crumbled amidst the swirling dust and smoke. The continents broke apart as the entire planet suffered the rampage of the One-Above-All.

Soon, Ion was beaten by Tony to the point of being completely defenseless and on its last breath. Only then did Tony nod in satisfaction. Grabbing Ion's tail with one hand and hoisting the Central Power Battery with the other, he flew into the sky.

The green lights in his hands were extremely conspicuous in the dark universe. Behind him was the devastated landscape of Oa.

Other than the time it was smashed to pieces by Ancient Doomsday, Oa had seemingly never in its history been so unscrupulously swept over by an external enemy.

Now it had.

Just as Tony was seizing the Green Lantern Central Power Battery and the Green Lantern entity, in other regions of the Prime Universe, the great armies that had marched out from the Cybertron system were also frantically hunting down the other Lantern entities.

Of the seven Lantern entities, Parallax had been imprisoned on Cybertron long ago. Adding Ion, now in Tony's possession, there were still five left.

The Butcher of the Red Lantern Corps, Ophidian of the Orange Lanterns, Adara of the Blue Lanterns, Proselyte of the Indigo Tribe, and the Predator of the Violet Lanterns...

"Once all seven Lantern entities are in hand, I can proceed with the next step of the plan."

With a loud bang, Tony threw the battered Ion out, sending it crashing violently to the ground.

A large, golden insect heard the noise and flew over hurriedly. Seeing its old rival Ion in such a pathetic state, it subconsciously shook its head, its huge pupils filled with excitement and schadenfreude.

Parallax and Ion were old nemeses. Willpower and Fear were mortal enemies, destined to be rivals from birth. Seeing Ion's misfortune, the resentment Parallax had harbored for all these years suddenly dissipated significantly.

Indeed, it didn't matter if you suffered yourself, as long as you could see your old rival suffer even more. It was all worth it.

Parallax chuckled strangely as it looked at the wounded Ion, estimating that the big fish would need a great deal of time to recover, unless someone was willing to use willpower energy to heal it.

But that was impossible. How could a cheapskate like Tony ever give Ion special treatment...

Tony punched a hole in the Central Power Battery and channeled a portion of the willpower energy into Ion's body, saying coldly, "Get up as soon as you're recovered. I have a job for you."

Parallax was instantly enraged. "You haven't given me any fear energy all these years! You'd rather let those rookies squander fear than give any to me!"

Tony shot it a sideways glance, lowered his head in thought for a moment, and before Parallax could get smug, he immediately turned the Central Power Battery and showered it with a huge amount of willpower energy.

Parallax: "!!!"
