Chapter 684

Chapter 668: The Threshold

This was an interesting thought, but Tony quickly dismissed it.

Doomsday King Kong couldn't use Ancient Doomsday's ability to create Doomsday Spores. Its revival was limited to being killed repeatedly and then reviving from flesh and blood fragments, unlike Ancient Doomsday, which could parasitize countless life forms and revive anywhere, anytime, using Doomsday Spores.

Even if a powerful entity truly managed to completely eradicate Doomsday King Kong, like those Tier Nine Omnipotent beings, as long as Tony was still alive, Tony could always extract a trace of Doomsday King Kong's Life Essence from the Allspark and revive it again.

Doomsday King Kong's immortality was rooted in Tony and the Allspark.

If Tony died, it was uncertain if Doomsday King Kong would die, but as long as Tony lived, Doomsday King Kong definitely wouldn't.

It was purely a killing tool created for battle, nothing more.

Darkseid's expression was grim. He watched the constantly restoring youngling, fell silent for a moment, then suddenly sneered, "You'd best pray you can control this thing your entire life, and that you never die. I'd bet that with even a slight lapse in your vigilance, this thing will find every way to break free from your control."

He pointed a thick finger at the opposite side. "Having this thing by your side will give you nightmares."

"No nightmare could compare to a heinous fiend like you," Tony said indifferently. "I will be others' nightmare; no one will ever be mine... If I didn't even have that awareness, I would have died long ago."

In this insane era where the universe was constantly on the brink of destruction and reboot, one either became someone else's nightmare or quietly awaited the universe's unknown demise.

Everyone was a nightmare; it was just a matter of who was more malevolent.

Tony wanted to be the greatest nightmare, not mere background scenery.

He watched as Doomsday King Kong roared fiercely at him, then relentlessly lunged at Darkseid. Its murderous desires and craving for destruction were all controlled by Tony. This feeling made Doomsday King Kong extremely enraged, forcing it to attack Darkseid frantically to vent its fury.

The rapidly growing Doomsday King Kong was already capable of holding out for an extra two or three seconds against Darkseid. It was foreseeable that after a few, or even dozens, more deaths, it would very likely acquire the combat power to defeat Darkseid.

After all, Doomsday King Kong's origin was a fusion of the Kryptonian Four Gods, Doomsday Spores, the Allspark, Tony's unique willpower, and a trace of the Omega Mutant's infinite potential.

So many formidable entities fused into one now formed Doomsday King Kong.

Doomsday King Kong's life form had finally completed its true transformation.

Its body was a menacing, angular form, primarily black steel chassis, standing two and a half meters tall and nearly two meters wide. Layers of heavy armor covered its surface, and bloodshot eyes were sunken deep within its bulging sockets.

Now, it could transform parts of its body structure as needed in battle, such as mobilizing large sections of its flesh-like, steel-like body structures, transforming into other things, either to dodge attacks or suddenly turn into a weapon to strike enemies.

Darkseid was right about one thing: it was a work of art.

A living work of art, destined to bring countless worlds to destruction; it was the final swan song of countless universes, the Day of Destruction.

The fierce great war erupted once more. Omega Beams continuously fired, but they could no longer inflict fatal damage on Doomsday King Kong. This was an astonishing rate of evolution.

"It's enough. This kind of Doomsday King Kong will be a super weapon even when it accompanies me to the Sphere of the Gods in the future."

Tony observed the results with satisfaction. At this moment, he was like a breeder, watching his carefully cultivated fighting beast demonstrate its prowess.

And Darkseid, naturally, was the gladiator for this experimental beast.

He wasn't worried about being unable to deal with Darkseid. Even if the Mother Box was affected by Darkseid, Tony was still confident he could repel this Darkseid's clone.

It was just a clone, after all.

The power of Darkseid's clone lay in its ability to share the Omega Effect. This was related to the Omega Effect's intrinsic ability itself, meaning that Darkseid's true body could simply separate a bit of its god-like power to create a weak clone, and that weak clone could still skillfully wield the Omega Effect.

It was equivalent to mass-producing Level Eight clones, even if these so-called Level Eights were in the lower-middle or even bottom tier of Level Eight combat power.

Was Darkseid powerful?

Extremely. A multiversal-level being, son of Yuga Khan, God of Apokolips, wielder of the Omega Effect, terrorizing the Sphere of the Gods for countless years…

But that power depended on who it was compared to, and what it was compared with.

A clone dispersed throughout the multiverse searching for the Anti-Life Equation wasn't truly that powerful; it was quite weak among Level Eight beings.

If placed in the Dark Multiverse, a Darkseid clone would only be qualified to become a mere foot soldier under the Dark Ruler Barbatos…

The Nightmare Knights of the Dark Batmen had not yet been born. The Ravager, one of the future seven Nightmare Knights, had been crushed by Tony during his ascension to the One-Above-All. The brutal great war between the multiverse and the Dark Multiverse would only erupt in the distant future. Countless monstrous doppelgangers and One-Above-All clones would step onto that deranged battlefield, and the most tragic, cruel, and highest-tier blood war in the Omni-Sphere World's history would unfold, making even the One-Above-All tremble uneasily.

By that time, a Darkseid clone in the Dark Multiverse would truly, truly be just a mere foot soldier under Barbatos, overwhelmed by the even more terrifying dark doppelgangers surrounding it.

Fortunately, Tony was already the One-Above-All, so he didn't need to worry about fighting a great war against his own psionically twisted dark doppelgangers.

Defeating a Darkseid clone merely meant acquiring a pass to step onto a higher stage.

Indeed, Darkseid had sadly become a unit of combat power, because Galactus had already been slaughtered and was now obsolete.

Tony watched the intense battle, his thoughts long having drifted elsewhere, completely devoid of any respect for the dark tyrant.

Roar!!!

Doomsday King Kong roared again. It finally managed to withstand a direct blow from Darkseid. Although its chassis showed signs of collapse, it instantly restored itself.

Bang!

The surrounding Blood Realm energy had long been blasted far away. Doomsday King Kong's fist struck Darkseid's face for the first time. The rapidly surging power in its punch caused Darkseid a flicker of discomfort, and his colossal body actually swayed slightly.

"That's enough, this is sufficient."

Tony's eyes gleamed, and he nodded in satisfaction.

His minimum requirement for Doomsday King Kong was to reach the Level Eight threshold, and it seemed this goal was not difficult to achieve.
