Chapter 362

Chapter 361: Ultraman Forbidden Technique

"I am inside you."

It was a line that might have sounded rather terrible coming from someone else in a different context, but Brainiac seemed to grasp the situation in an instant.

"That's right. You also possess the ability to disperse your body into photons and, based on that, create clones similar to your main body... In other words, even the separated photons can be controlled just like your main body."

His thoughts were fast, but the change occurred even faster than he could think.

Brainiac's chest burst open.

Piercing through from the inside, a silver arm emerged. It looked as if it had extended out from his heart, accompanied by sputtering electric arcs and green blood.

"The very first time I used 'Photonization' to evade your Matter Recombination Ray, I had already separated a part of myself," Orin Vale said calmly. "While you were using 'Matter Recombination' on yourself to dodge my attacks and repair your body, those light particles had already mixed in with the particles that make up your form. In other words, it's literal... I'm inside you. From within, I've made contact with the Matter Recombination-related weapons in your body, as well as a few other rather dangerous-looking components.

"Besides, I've recently learned a new move. It's the perfect time to test it out."

The exchange was still happening through telepathy, the time for information transfer being almost negligible, and it didn't affect the continuation of the battle. Or rather, the battle had actually ended the moment Orin Vale "infiltrated" Brainiac's body.

Scorching light bloomed from within Brainiac's body. Brainiac's entire form rapidly heated up, and the light covering its surface gradually turned crimson, until it wrapped around its whole body like a raging flame.

Ultra Dynamite.

The original copyright holder: a well-known terrorist from the Land of Light, the self-detonation maniac Ultraman Taro, also known as the Prince. In the original lore, it was a forbidden technique that only Taro could use, thanks to his 'Ultra Heart' which granted him super-regeneration. No one else could use it.

But after entering the new era, this piece of lore was gradually flushed down the drain along with Tsuburaya Productions' other established settings. More and more Ultramen began to learn similar moves, but they were either apprentices of the Prince or also possessed outstanding regenerative abilities.

Orin Vale had never practiced this kind of forbidden technique before, only having read about its principle in books. But now, with the leap in his strength, his knowledge and ability had risen accordingly, and he had already figured out a similar move on his own.

BOOM!!!

A terrifyingly powerful explosion, an unimaginable heatwave, and a light that eroded all things instantly tore apart the entire warship's hull. A radiant light burst forth from within the mothership, like a rapidly expanding giant balloon, until it completely enveloped the warship. Everyone on the battlefield couldn't help but look in that direction. The roar was like rolling thunder, seeming to detonate beside everyone's ears. A massive plasma cluster seemed to form in the center of the flame, like a herd of angry mustangs, wildly ramming into everything in their path.

No fragments, no debris. Even Brainiac's indestructible warship melted within it, as if the orb of light contained a will of annihilation, erasing even dust.

And this was with Orin Vale using the Ultraman Race's Energy Convergence Technique to intentionally suppress the explosion's radius. As mentioned before, the Ultraman Race could concentrate and compress energy powerful enough to destroy a planet onto a specific target. If not for that, setting off a blast like this in the atmosphere would have definitely been rough on Earth.

"Astounding..." a Blue Lantern said, looking involuntarily in that direction. "Is that the power of the Supreme Being? His strength is truly beyond our comprehension..."

Saint Walker, while directing a giant beast he had constructed to pin down a Yellow Lantern, said, "Focus on your own fights, rookie. The Supreme Being's hope makes him this powerful. We also need to maintain our faith and use it to save lives."

"Yes, sir!" the Blue Lanterns hurriedly replied.

The Yellow Lanterns were also dumbfounded. Although Orin Vale had suppressed the explosion's radius, that orb of light was as bright as a star, and the energy level their power rings measured from it was enough to make them question their existence. We're actually fighting against something like that? How did we dare?

As several Yellow Lanterns stared blankly at the miraculous radiance, they suddenly felt an icy chill from behind. It was a coldness that seemed to seep into their very marrow, creeping up from the depths of their hearts to paralyze their limbs.

"Heh heh heh, I think I smell something familiar..."

Parallax appeared silently behind them, smirking grimly.

"I smell... Fear."

The few Yellow Lanterns were terrified. They let out a series of screams as they turned to flee, but it was too late. Parallax opened its mouth and took a deep breath, instantly draining the energy from their power rings. That wasn't even the end of it. After their rings were drained, their bodies were next. A soul-like yellow substance was sucked out from each of them and devoured by Parallax.

After being sucked dry, all that remained of the Yellow Lanterns were white skeletons, their flesh and internal organs having vanished.

Parallax closed its mouth in satisfaction after its meal. The unsupported skeletons immediately fell into Newton's embrace, plummeting under the pull of gravity and shattering into pieces.

Parallax licked its lips contentedly, then looked up at the breathtaking, massive orb of light in mid-air.

At that moment, the Fear Emotional Entity once again deeply understood what an important art it was for a long-lived species to learn how to pick the right side.

The radiance dissipated, leaving the warship and a large portion of the surrounding fleet burned to ashes. The entire airspace seemed to have transformed into a death zone. Only Orin Vale remained, floating in the air, his figure shimmering in the heat-distorted atmosphere.

*Tsk.*

Orin Vale muttered to himself.

"To think you can even survive that. You really live up to your name, Old Bu."

Hal Jordan considered himself a first-class pilot, a fearless soldier, the legendary Green Lantern, and the hero of Coast City. He was fearless and arrogant, never modest about his achievements and greatness.

But even so, he never claimed to be a good son or brother.

Ever since his father's death, Hal had never cared for his family. He ran away from home at eighteen to join the Air Force because his mother, unable to emerge from the shadow of her husband's death, forbade him from going near any airport.

His mother refused to speak to him until Hal promised to quit the Air Force.

But Hal was stubborn. He loved his mother, but no one could change his mind once it was made up. So he didn't obey, not even when his mother was on her deathbed.

Later, he punched his commanding officer and got himself discharged. He rushed to the hospital, hoping to at least see his mother one last time, but he was a step too late.

Now, his brother Jim's family was all he had left. He would not be a step too late again.

Hal Jordan shot into Coast City like a meteor at Mach 20, crashing head-on into Sinestro.

"This ends now, Sinestro!" Hal roared, straddling him and swinging his fists as they flew at Mach 20. "Even if it means I have to tear you to pieces!"
