Chapter 66

# Chapter 66: Knowledge

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

"That kind of occasion... as you can imagine, is actually very tedious. A bunch of old geezers droning on and on, they could bore you to death." Tony also poured himself a glass of wine, sipping it slowly.

No matter how everyone viewed Tony before, at least now, Blade and the others had begun to warm up to Tony. Tony had high emotional intelligence, showing his approachable side and subtly drawing the group closer.

"You don't need to prepare anything for these shareholder meetings; just show up. This is the biggest meeting in the near future; you just need to make an appearance. After a while, I'll be heading to Afghanistan and won't convene another shareholder meeting easily." Tony said, taking out the phone Tony had given him when he was rescued that day, and showed it to everyone.

"Would it be convenient for me to speak with Tony alone?" Tony asked.

The others understood, stood up, and took their leave. As they left, Old Bartender shamelessly asked if he could take the unfinished bottle of wine from the table. He loved wine more than life itself, had been eyeing it for a long time, and no amount of good wine was ever enough for him.

Tony gestured his assent, and casually grabbed two more bottles for him from the wine cabinet.

"Alright, Tony, what did you keep me for? And why did it have to be private?"

"It's about this phone, the one you gave me that day. After I got back, I gathered some information about you, and out of curiosity, I checked this phone and found something interesting."

Tony held the phone and called out to his artificial intelligence butler, "Jarvis," and immediately, numerous virtual electronic screens appeared in the air. Tony tapped and swiped, eventually pulling up and enlarging an information interface.

"Is there something wrong with the phone? I can assure you there are no listening devices or anything of the sort inside." Tony raised an eyebrow, not surprised by Tony's actions. In fact, when he chose to give the phone to Tony that day, he had no intention of ever taking it back.

"Of course, that's not what I meant. Your ability... I mean, your ability is to transform machinery, right? To use some mysterious energy particles to change forms, turning them into what you call Transformers?"

On the enlarged interface, numerous energy-ball-like objects were displayed. These energy balls were independent of each other, yet separated by some distance.

"These mysterious particles are present in every corner of this phone. All materials show these particles at the microscopic level. It's as if an extra protective layer has been added to the original atoms and molecules themselves, without a single omission – at least, I haven't found any."

Tony spoke hesitantly, eventually revealing his purpose to Tony.

He was considering whether they should start a collaboration.

"Collaboration?" Tony was speechless. "I have nothing; what could I possibly collaborate on with your Stark Industries?" He truly couldn't understand. While this ability was miraculous, it didn't give him the capital to collaborate with Stark Industries. Stark Industries was all about pursuing economic benefits.

"You still don't get it. These particles of yours will permanently adhere to the microscopic world! A long time has passed, and these particles still show no sign of dissipating. Do you know what that means? Your ability isn't just about creating warriors for you to fight; it can also significantly extend the lifespan of materials!" Tony raised his eyebrows, speaking with an almost giddy excitement. The phone, having been away from Tony himself for so long, still maintained its activity. Its value and significance were enormous. If it could be researched...

And if they sold the researched products to the Military, they'd make a killing!

As everyone knows, many high-tech products are extremely fragile, especially various precision parts. For instance, in aerospace, not even a tiny error is acceptable, which places astonishing demands on materials. But if they could research the essence of these particles, or even create artificial particles, even if the effect was slightly weaker, it could significantly extend the lifespan of items!

Parts that originally needed inspection and replacement after one year of use could easily be used for three, five, ten years, or even longer!

"You mean, as long as I want to, I can actually create enormous profits?" Tony felt a stir in his heart at the thought. If he nodded now, he would immediately have endless money delivered to him, allowing him to upgrade his Transformers without restraint.

He needed to become stronger, as strong as possible, to face the increasingly cruel era. If he could possess a massive amount of Transformer creations, aside from enemies capable of destroying planets, he could simply overwhelm others with sheer numbers.

To say he wasn't tempted at all would be a lie.

But Tony ultimately did not let his head be clouded. Reason told him that he absolutely could not take this step. If he agreed now, there might be huge risks in the future. Currently, Tony had a phone activated by the Allspark, but it would be difficult to research anything extraordinary from such a small item. This was an entirely new domain, requiring extensive and repeated experimentation.

But what if he collaborated for these immediate benefits? He would slowly but surely be thoroughly researched, his Allspark would be excavated piece by piece, and eventually, it would be completely exposed to the world.

"I'm sorry, Tony, you should know that many people are watching me. I can't do this; it would put me in a very dangerous situation." Tony rejected the proposal, sincerely telling Tony that doing so would be detrimental to him.

The current Tony Stark was still a blatant arms dealer. He was arrogant and conceited, and his series of inventions had propelled Stark Industries to glory, but also brought immense harm to this world. Countless civilians suffered and died in the warfare fueled by Stark's weapons.

Collaborating recklessly with an arms dealer was too dangerous. Even Tony Stark was no exception. Tony was not yet a hero; he still lacked that heroic heart that yearned for light.

"What a shame. If you ever change your mind, definitely contact me. Just call this phone, and I'll answer immediately... Except for specific times, like at night, when I need to sleep; or during the day, when I need to work." Tony told a joke to lighten the mood. He knew this was a sensitive topic for a Mutant. It would be best if they could reach an agreement, but if not, then so be it.

Tony didn't truly lack this technology; primarily, he had no urgent need for it. The faster the Military's weapons were updated and replaced, the more Stark Industries earned.

"By the way, are you okay with that scar on your neck?" Tony asked.

Tony subconsciously touched his neck. That experience truly left him with lingering fear.

"Once the wound has fully healed, I'll just have surgery to remove the scar. After all, it greatly affects my image. What about you? Still hunting Vampires?"

"How could I? I'm not a Vampire Hunter; that's Blade and their job." Tony said with a smile, "Right now, the Vampires are preoccupied. The traditional Thirteen Clans have been massacred, with only one King left alive and alone. As long as they're not foolish, they won't start a war with me again; they'll come knocking on my door."

Finally, Tony shamelessly asked Tony for some technology data. He urgently needed knowledge to enrich himself.
