Dormammu was excited, but someone was even more excited.
Oh, this person wasn't Tony, but the Ghost Rider, who had been under the Ancient One's tutelage all this time.
The formidable dark power of the Dark Dimension, along with the sea of sin within it, drove the young Spirit of Vengeance into a deep, intoxicating frenzy.
"Sin, I smell the stench of sin! Hahahaha!!!"
With a flaming skull head that was the epitome of cool, Ghost Rider roared into the Dark Dimension alongside countless Transformers.
He was so excited, so thrilled!
The omnipresent darkness and sin nearly drove this newly born Spirit of Vengeance, who loathed evil, insane!
He trembled with excitement, his motorcycle swerving erratically as he rode, muttering something under his breath.
Who knows what terrible things he went through at Kamar-Taj. His personality, which was supposed to prefer silence and action over chatter, actually showed a tendency to become a chatterbox.
"...What did you do to him?" Tony asked the Ancient One, a bit speechless.
"I was teaching him how to be a person," the Ancient One replied.
Tony was at a loss for words. He had no idea how this terrifying old woman had tormented the young Spirit of Vengeance to turn him into such a ghastly state.
"This place is too vast. I can only sense a small area... Wait, something's coming. There are a lot of them!" Professor X's expression turned grave as he suddenly issued a warning.
A staggering number of horrifying monsters began to swarm toward them, led by none other than Kaecilius.
Some of these grotesquely formed monsters still vaguely retained their original shapes. Some were in humanoid form, a few had other shapes, but most had already devolved into amorphous masses, as if they were some bizarre aggregation of dark power.
"Ancient One, you despicable wretch! How dare you actively enter the Dark Dimension to seek your own death!" Kaecilius's face was twisted with ferocity and resentment.
He waved his hand viciously, and the massive horde of monsters behind him shrieked and lunged toward the Ancient One.
"Kaecilius, you shameless traitor! You betrayed us, and you still dare to show your face!" Mordo's face was filled with rage, a hint of killing intent in his eyes.
Kaecilius was a great shame to Kamar-Taj. As the Ancient One's First Disciple, he had betrayed everything and defected to Dormammu's side.
"Why wouldn't I dare to appear? I owe you nothing!" Kaecilius roared. "She, the Ancient One, stole—"
"Attack! Logan! Diana!" Tony's expression turned savage as he brutally cut off Kaecilius's so-called "accusation."
This was a colossal secret. Across the entire universe, fewer than ten people knew about it. The fact that the Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme, was siphoning dark power from her mortal enemy to extend her own life was an unforgivable transgression in the eyes of some righteous sorcerers.
He absolutely could not allow Kaecilius to reveal this secret.
Anyone who dared to speak it would be silenced first!
If nothing else, if he stood by and let Kaecilius say it, the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj would be the first to collapse, unable to accept the truth.
The Ancient One didn't care, or perhaps she no longer wanted to hide it, but Tony could not tolerate it. This operation to besiege Dormammu was perilous, and all potential mishaps had to be minimized.
He couldn't deal with Dormammu, but he could deal with Kaecilius!
This wasn't Earth; Kaecilius couldn't use the Mirror Dimension, his most destructive weapon!
Two figures shot forward instantly. Logan raised his claws, and Diana held her sword and shield high, leading the charge toward the enemy.
These two were the ideal tanks. Logan's healing factor and adamantium skeleton meant he was incredibly hard to kill, and as for Diana, armed to the teeth with divine artifacts, there was even less to say.
The thirty-million-strong Legion followed behind them, a terrifying and boundless torrent of steel that seemed to engulf the entire world!
They hummed and roared, rising and falling in undulating layers across the Dark Dimension, forming a wall of steel with no visible top or edges!
They were here to kill!
"Trying to win with numbers in the Dark Dimension?" Kaecilius sneered. He chanted a spell, using the summoning magic Dormammu had taught him. Something resembling a wormhole suddenly appeared between the two sides, steadily growing.
Then, like a geyser, hideous and bizarre creatures erupted from it.
"Mindless Ones..." Tony murmured, his eyes filled with a bone-chilling coldness.
Strictly speaking, the main reason he had mobilized the massive Transformer Army for a war of this scale was to deal with the endless hordes of Mindless Ones!
"Everyone, be careful! These demonic creatures are the Mindless Ones! Don't let them surround you!" Mordo bellowed, his words instantly transmitted into everyone's mind by Professor X.
The Mindless Ones were not native to the Dark Dimension. Dormammu detested the existence of any living creature other than himself within his domain.
The Mindless Ones existed in a peculiar space that clung to the Dark Dimension, similar to the borders of Hell. The connection between that space and the Dark Dimension was exceptionally strong, and they were also Dormammu's favorite cannon fodder.
A staggering number of Mindless Ones poured out, each with a terrifying appearance. Without any need for Kaecilius's command, they sensed an aura different from the darkness and immediately charged the invaders.
The two vast armies, like mighty torrents, crashed into each other with astonishing killing intent, creating a deafening roar.
Some Transformers formed small squads, broke through into the Mindless Ones' ranks at great cost, and then unleashed the nuclear bombs in their chests.
Under the stunned gazes of countless people, they detonated.
BOOM!!!
A massive mushroom cloud rose into the air. In this world where sunlight was dim and darkness was the dominant color, the rising mushroom cloud looked exceptionally menacing.
"What are you looking at me for? You expect me to protect the environment? This is the Dark Dimension," Tony said irritably when he saw the people around him staring.
"Where did you get nuclear bombs?" Azazel asked, his face full of amazement.
"Borrowed them. They didn't dare refuse," Tony grunted, returning his focus to controlling the Legion.
On a battlefield of Level 5 and above, the effects of a nuclear bomb, even at close range, were starting to become limited. They could only be used to clear out some fodder.
For dealing with the innumerable Mindless Ones, for instance, they were perfect. If Tony wasn't worried about his own people being overly affected by the nuclear radiation, he would have already blanketed the area with nukes.
The most crucial part was still the battle between the Ancient One's group and Dormammu. Their mission was to prevent Dormammu's lackeys from interfering with the Ancient One.
Ideally, after routing the enemy, they could even interfere with Dormammu themselves.
Win, and they get everything. Lose... and there would be nothing left.
