Chapter 252

Chapter 247: Invading the Dark Dimension

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

An endless, massive legion, imbued with a chilling sense of order, swarmed into Hell's Border. When order and violence combine, they become an annihilating Legion of Slaughter.

"This guy... he can actually expertly control such a terrifying legion..."

Liana, the queen of this Alternate Dimension, furrowed her brow slightly, her expression one of surprise.

Undeniably, besides being intimidating in number, these Transformers were actually very fragile to a powerhouse of her Demigod level.

A single Transformer could confront a small unit of ordinary human troops head-on, but these thirty million Transformers were truly no match for Liana.

Once one reaches the fifth or sixth Demigod level, they can no longer be killed by ordinary means. Any fifth or sixth level Demigod powerhouse possesses a deep understanding of their own soul and has analyzed their life form to the fullest extent.

The union of soul and body, and building upon that foundation, the ability to use one's soul and body to maximize their capabilities—this is the basic threshold for becoming a Demigod.

If one cannot even achieve this, they can never truly become a Demigod.

In reality, a Demigod like Liana, who controls her own pocket space, is the most terrifying because she has a small world as a power source and backing.

But Tony's abilities were already enough to surprise her, considering he was merely Level Four.

In the normal timeline, Liana had once risked everything, frantically drawing upon the power of Hell's Border to repel Dormammu's invasion for a second time.

"Such a massive War Legion, plus the Sorcerer Supreme and the others... that should be enough to kill Dormammu, right? So why are we even here?" Wanda said, a little discouraged.

It was a discouraging sight for the ambitious. A legion that terrifying would easily crush the likes of the X-Men, the Brotherhood of Mutants, and even some of the agents from S.P.E.A.R.

So what was the point of them even joining the battle?

Tony could clearly replace all of them.

"What do you take Dormammu for?" Tony was momentarily speechless as he directed the last Transformer into this space. "Thirty million of the Iron Legion... it looks like a lot, but in reality, they're just a bunch of cannon fodder. Trying to kill Dormammu with them is absolutely impossible."

This thirty-million-strong legion was just the vanguard. They weren't meant to fight Dormammu himself, but his lackeys and the countless army of Mindless Ones he had summoned.

"Even that many War Machines can't kill Dormammu?"

The expressions of many turned grave as they gained a deeper understanding of the brutal battle that was about to erupt.

Tony's face was calm. He didn't respond or offer any further explanation.

A thirty-million-strong legion might be useful against someone like Diana. Even if Diana had thirty million pigs to slaughter, it would at least drain some of her stamina and Divine Power.

But for magic-users, the effectiveness of sheer numbers is often quite limited.

The Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, for example, wouldn't even need to fight head-on. They could simply open a large-scale Mirror Dimension, and the thirty-million-strong legion would be destroyed within it, one by one.

Unlike Diana, who would have to cut them down sword by sword—a time-consuming and exhausting task.

Ahead, the Ancient One finally stood up. Her spotless white robes fluttered without a wind. She stretched out her hands, and a semi-translucent Golden Disk materialized, inscribed with complex magical patterns.

Immense mystic energy began to surge forth, and the magical arrays responded in kind. Before everyone's eyes, a massive Portal slowly opened.

The Spatial Gate connecting Hell's Border and the Dark Dimension was taking shape.

If one were to look down from a higher dimension, they would be amazed to discover a peculiar channel, constructed from immense mystic energy, suddenly extending from Hell's Border. In an instant, it crossed a distance that, while brief, was immeasurably vast to ordinary life forms.

In a flash, countless galaxies were pierced and innumerable dimensions were crossed as a long corridor forcibly linked Hell's Border with the Dark Dimension.

In truth, Hell's Border is the space in this universe closest to the Dark Dimension. Its extremely similar spatial properties and highly comparable magical energies all spoke, in their own unique way, of the intimate connection between these two realms—one small, one vast.

Of course, Hell's Border was far too small; it couldn't compare to the Dark Dimension, which occupied an entire dimension.

"The Portal is complete." The Ancient One raised her head, the warmth in her eyes long gone, replaced by an expression of pure ruthlessness and cold-bloodedness.

Having lived for so many years, she had killed countless interdimensional creatures. Anyone who mistook her gentle exterior for a gentle heart was gravely mistaken.

When the Ancient One was young, with the Book of the Vishanti in her left hand, the Eye of Agamotto in her right, and wearing the Cloak of Levitation, she would slaughter even deities in droves when she went on a rampage. How could she possibly be mild-tempered? It was only with age that she had concealed that ruthless nature.

"Well then... let's begin. I'll start us off!"

Tony suddenly shot high into the air. With a sweep of his raised arms, the thirty-million-strong vanguard behind him fearlessly charged into the Dark Dimension!

The Iron Legion marched in perfect lockstep, fearlessly rushing into the Spatial Gate. Their cold, electronic eyes held not a single trace of emotion.

This time, Tony hadn't created a batch of intelligent Dinobots. More than intelligence, he needed emotionless cannon fodder!

Thirty million was just the beginning, meant to sweep away the filth of the Dark Dimension. And it would be nowhere near enough!

Following behind the Transformer Legion, the second to charge in was none other than S.P.E.A.R.'s Ring Airship.

The Ring Airship had a striking design. Viewed from the outside, its core was a massive ring that housed all its personnel, departments, and weaponry. Arranged neatly on the ring's exterior were five giant thrusters, which served as its power source.

This was the strongest war fortress Earth's mortal realm could build, and it also served as S.P.E.A.R.'s headquarters, far surpassing S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier.

They were going all out to destroy Dormammu. The Ring Airship could be rebuilt if lost, but failing to kill Dormammu would lead to endless trouble in the future.

Numerous grim-faced warriors crossed through the Spatial Gate one after another.

This wasn't so much a counterattack as it was an unprecedented invasion.

In the past, Earth had never actively attacked the Dark Dimension. It had always been under the protection of the Ancient One, barely holding on!

Tony was the type to stir things up. He knew perfectly well that a coward like Dormammu, who only ever dared to hide in the Dark Dimension, was ultimately just a minor player in the grand scheme of things. If he could use this opportunity to kill him off first, and then subsequently purge the internal malignancies on Earth, nothing could be better.

Vroom!

The roar of an engine sounded. A well-mannered man suddenly transformed into a Ghost Rider wreathed in flames, riding a motorcycle at high speed past numerous Transformers.

"The aura of sin, I smell the aura of sin! Hahaha!!"
