Chapter 226: Where Did You Hide My Little Brother?!
October 19, 2022 Author: Great Demon Spirit
"Deal with me? With what? Robots?" Tony's expression was playful.
It was only natural that people wanted to deal with him. He had grown too fast, shattering many unspoken agreements and established balances.
Every advancement for a Mutant resulted in a significant increase in strength. Below Level Four, this wasn't yet obvious, but Level Four marked a colossal watershed.
But no one had expected Tony to advance to Level Four so quickly! From his Awakening to Level Four, it had taken less than two years in total!
That growth rate was just too fast!
In fact, if Tony hadn't known about Kamar-Taj, learned magic from the Sorcerer Supreme, and communed with the Vishanti Trinity—one of the sources of magic—he really wouldn't have been able to discern the true nature of his own abilities so quickly.
But that was the result. He had succeeded, becoming one of the exceedingly rare Level Four Mutants, possessing power that defied worldly limitations and capable of starting a war on a whim.
"It's not that I look down on them, but they don't have what it takes to deploy someone with Level Four combat power against me. They can only use robots, but I'm the natural counter to robots." Tony's expression was mocking.
Sentinel Robots and the like were a joke to begin with.
"...I've always felt that you're actually more arrogant and cocky than I am. It seems I still underestimated you. Honestly, this side of you is truly annoying," Tony joked. "You know, my armor is also within your control. I'll have to be careful the next time we meet."
Tony joked without restraint.
Tony also laughed. Through the Allspark, he could clearly sense that Tony only had simple self-defense tech on him, stuff that could only handle ordinary humans and was completely useless against people like him.
In its own way, this was a form of trust.
"Seriously, I haven't been able to find out what they plan to use against you, but they're said to be quite confident. You should still be careful. Listen to me..." Tony's words came to an abrupt halt.
Tony looked elsewhere, pretending to be relaxed, as if admiring noblewomen who were intentionally showing off their impressive figures. He was even more interested in those noblewomen who cast provocative glances his way.
He cocked his ear, waiting for Tony's next words, thinking that Tony was about to tell him some secret and important news.
"Whoa~~~ That girl is hot~" Tony exclaimed in pleasant surprise, staring intently at the doorway.
Tony was speechless. Since his back was to the door, he turned his head as well and was instantly stunned.
Strictly speaking, there were two women. One of them was very familiar to him—it was Betty.
Betty was wearing a white formal dress, her face full of smiles, without a trace of worry.
Beside her, the other woman truly and deeply captivated Tony.
Her curves were beyond description, making one wish they could trace a line from her neck, down her back, all the way to her rounded thighs. She had shoulder-length, wavy hair that rippled with every step she took.
Her youthful and slightly innocent cheeks were tinged with an intoxicating blush. Her deep, soul-snatching eyes darted around nervously, as if it was her first time here and she was unaccustomed to such an occasion.
Her alluring red lips, parting and closing restlessly with their owner's mood, made one desperately want to rush up and steal a kiss.
The pack of animals got excited. They swarmed the waiters, hastily grabbing glasses of wine from the trays, and, plastering on smiles, elegantly approached the girl to extend invitations.
Betty's face twitched, and she felt the urge to hit someone. She felt helpless in her heart; it wasn't that she wasn't pretty, but that the girl beside her was just too beautiful, with a particularly captivating aura.
"Tony, continue what you were saying..." Tony inwardly marvelled, then decided to let Tony finish first.
Who would have thought that Tony wouldn't even bother to pay him any mind. He immediately straightened his tie like a gentleman, wearing that familiar flashy smile that made Tony want to punch him in the face.
Tony wasn't tall, just over 1.7 meters, but he yielded to no one in the crowd. He roughly shoved aside the people blocking his way, and holding his wine glass, walked straight up to the girl, flashing his most charming smile.
"A beauty like you shouldn't be bothered by this swarm of buzzing flies." With his first sentence, Tony had labeled every man besides himself a scumbag.
Many of the men looked at Tony with fury before leaving in a huff.
With Tony making a personal appearance, who would dare to challenge him? No one. They all chickened out.
"Who are you?" the girl asked. Her voice was clear and crisp, yet held an alluring quality.
"Oh, you don't know me? I'm Tony Stark. At the same time, my other identity is a Superhero who champions justice—in fact, I'm Iron Man."
Tony was very confident. Billionaire + good looks + Iron Man + rich—it was an unbeatable combination, and he happened to possess it all, making him naturally irresistible to women.
"Iron Man?" The girl tilted her head. "Is he as powerful as my dad?"
Tony raised an eyebrow, wanting to laugh. This was a good little girl, inexperienced with the world, who still thought her father was the most powerful person on Earth.
No matter who it was, they couldn't possibly be his match! In this world, having one Tony who was his natural counter was enough. He possessed a superior intellect and feared no one.
"Who's your dad? Maybe I've even worked with him." Tony stood proudly, the arrogance ingrained in his bones flaring up again.
"Sir, I have some bad news for you." The well-intentioned reminder from his AI butler, Jarvis, came through his hidden earpiece.
"Her dad is Magneto."
Tony's face instantly stiffened. His eyes stared blankly, and his whole face looked as if he had just eaten a pile of shit.
No FUCKING words.
"Huh, you've worked with my dad?" The girl was surprised, like a curious child.
"Um, I think we will cooperate in the future..." Tony stammered. "Beautiful lady, would you care for a drink?"
Magneto's daughter? Would Magneto tear me to pieces?
"Sir, I have even worse news for you," Jarvis faithfully performed his duty. "This girl is also a Mutant."
"And?"
"You'll be beaten to death, with or without the armor."
Tony was completely speechless.
How had he suddenly become the lowest on the food chain?
The contrast was too great for the proud Tony to bear.
Betty sighed, pulled the girl along and roughly pushed a path through the crowd. She went straight to where Tony was quietly standing, hesitated for a moment before finally pointing at him and saying to the girl, "This is the person you're looking for, Mechanic tony..."
Tony smiled, looked at Betty, and was about to speak.
The girl rushed forward in a single step, grabbed Tony by the collar, her eyes wide and round. "You're Tony?! Tell me, where did you hide my little brother?!"
"Huh???" Tony was a bit dazed.
Many people at the party were also a bit dazed.
