Chapter 209: Legion
"Would it be convenient to tell me where you've been these past few months?" Natasha sat down, her alluring posture making one's mouth go dry. The two intentionally unfastened buttons on her chest revealed an ample, snow-white expanse of cleavage.
She gazed with her alluring eyes, tender and affectionate as if toward a lover, yet with an ineffable fiery passion.
"Amanda, throw her out!" Tony said with a cold face. "The talks have already fucking collapsed, what the hell are you still yapping about?"
Natasha's expression changed, a mixture of shock and anger. She bit her lip lightly, which only added to her allure.
Amanda walked over, preparing to grab her.
Natasha's eyes turned cold, and she was about to resist. But a glance from the corner of her eye caught Tony staring at her with eyes full of killing intent. The chilling murderous aura was enough to make one's blood run cold.
Crane pushed his glasses up his nose with a gentle expression, watching the scene with a smile.
"Mr. Tony, we can still talk..." Natasha said, but Amanda paid her no mind, dragging her out and tossing her through the door.
*Bang!* The sound was harsh.
"Too cunning. I originally thought this arrogant woman would fight back," said Crane.
"Then she would be dead. I would have killed her on the spot. It seems S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't stupid after all. They know that after giving me the technology, they'd completely lose any means of keeping me in check," Tony snorted coldly. If the famous Black Widow had dared to resist in front of him, Tony really would have killed her.
He had absolutely no interest in such a beautiful tramp.
He was determined to get the True Adamantium technology. If he couldn't obtain it through normal means, he would take it by force in the future. In any case, the technology was just sitting there; it wasn't like it would grow legs and run away.
"Have Betty come see me immediately when she gets back. She needs to make a choice."
"And if she chooses wrong?" Crane asked.
"Some things are beyond right and wrong. No matter what she chooses, it won't be a mistake. I just want to give her the right to choose. I won't hide this kind of matter from her, nor can I. It's better to let her choose for herself. Either she chooses to remain neutral, or she chooses to be my enemy."
Tony sighed. He didn't want to hide this from Betty; no matter what, she was a member he could trust. Once the war with the Hulk began, its scale would cover the entire Indian Subcontinent, making it impossible to conceal.
Tony was even prepared to Animate all the machinery in the Indian Subcontinent and throw it into the war against the Hulk.
He had too few people on hand and was severely lacking in Superpowered Individuals who could directly attack the Soul or Spirit.
It would be best if Professor X could join the fight, but it was obvious that Tony would be lucky if Professor X didn't try to stop him, let alone help him.
After all, Tony was a Mutant.
The war machine of A.R.G.U.S. was fully mobilized. Large quantities of rare metals began to be transported, making many people's hearts pound with fear, terrified of being targeted.
Many factions guessed that an operation of this scale meant Tony was back. They all wanted to come for talks, but after being handled by Crane, they could only leave in frustration.
Some organizations tried to join forces to stop Tony's actions, but they were powerless, especially with Oscorp supporting Tony with absolutely no reservations.
Tony began to build a new Transformer Legion, a legion made primarily of Secondary Adamantium, specifically for the purpose of hunting down and killing the Hulk.
At Level Four, Tony could already control metals on the level of Adamantium and Vibranium, but the cost was still a major issue, which meant the number Tony could produce was limited.
Needless to say, Vibranium was a rarity anywhere in the world outside of Wakanda. The various metal raw materials required for Secondary Adamantium were also very precious, with staggering costs.
Type II Metal was successfully developed, giving birth to a new metal that possessed both a Regenerative Ability and 65% of the hardness of Secondary Adamantium. It achieved a good balance. Tony, with his ability to finely control and readjust the elemental structures of countless types of matter, successfully constructed Type II Metal.
"If I were dealing with anyone else, this would definitely be enough. But against a creature like the Hulk..." Tony shook his head. It was too difficult.
Theoretically, the Hulk's beastly power could grow infinitely. His normal power index was one hundred tons, and he only grew stronger the more he fought. Without a trump card, it would be very difficult to overwhelm and kill the Hulk by relying on numbers alone.
If the Hulk got angrier and his strength increased, he could destroy Secondary Adamantium, let alone a Transformer equipped with Type II Metal.
"Beast-like sharp intuition, a violent personality, and power that grows infinitely with anger... It's impossible to kill him with a single method. I also lack the means to attack the soul. Besides, I refuse to believe that a creature like the Hulk has gone unnoticed. I don't know how many pairs of eyes are watching him..."
A shadow of gloom flashed across Tony's eyes before disappearing. He had his own calculations. The Hulk had to be killed, no matter how difficult. He had to do it now while the Earth was still stable, and any mess, no matter how bad, could be cleaned up by the Sorcerer Supreme.
When things truly spiraled out of control, Tony was confident he could escape the battlefield, but an out-of-control Hulk was as terrifying as Doomsday. With the Sorcerer Supreme around, he could be effectively contained.
If this were to happen in the future, when Earth was overrun with overpowered characters and villains were stronger than ever, not to mention the Extraterrestrial Visitors, things might be delayed until the entire planet was smashed to pieces by the Hulk.
New Transformers were taking shape one by one. Under Tony's control, they were being coated in Type II Metal, forging the legion that would hunt the Hulk.
This was a very risky move. The risks were great, not just from the Hulk himself, but from others as well.
Hulk could to some extent be compared to the Doomsday created by the Kryptonians, possessing nearly limitless potential. The Hulk had two main ultimate evolution forms: one was the Worldbreaker Hulk, and the other was the even more ridiculous Four-Armed Hulk.
The strength of the Four-Armed Hulk could be described in one sentence: killing a Level Seven being would be like slaughtering chickens. In front of him, a universal-level being could be poked to death with a single finger.
Although evolution is full of variables, from the perspective of the Multiverse and the infinite length of the Timeline, it was inevitable that the Hulk would evolve to his ultimate level.
But looking only at this Prime Universe under his feet, there was a possibility of successful evolution, but the possibility of failure was even greater. However, Tony didn't dare to gamble. With all kinds of crises looming in the future, no one could be sure if the Hulk wouldn't have an even more glorious future.
While the Ancient One was still guarding the Earth and the situation was still relatively stable and controllable, he had to act quickly. Kill the Hulk one step sooner and completely sever any possibility of him evolving and becoming stronger.
Tony was in a situation where he was riding a tiger and couldn't get off. He couldn't afford to delay; he had to act.
Red She-Hulk finally returned. She had specially changed into a fresh and beautiful outfit to see Tony. After all, they hadn't seen each other for several months, and she missed him very much.
