Chapter 205

Chapter 202: Ghost Rider: MMP

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

Even someone as calm as Max felt the urge to curse.

Who has ever seen a two-wheeled motorcycle that could blaze across the ocean? Those two flaming wheels made riding on the sea no different from riding on land, and still left a long trail of fire in its wake.

A flame that could burn on the ocean...

MMP!

“Wicked one, you have sinned!” Ghost Rider, clad in a pitch-black jacket and wreathed in flames, his visually striking skull burning with hellfire, declared. “From a great distance, I could already hear the wails of countless tormented souls clinging to you.”

“Get lost, or die!” Max said coldly, casually unleashing a bolt of electricity.

An ordinary person struck by the current would have been turned to charcoal on the spot, but when it hit Ghost Rider, it merely made his body sway a little as he continued his menacing pursuit.

Max was displeased.

He had been floating peacefully in the air, his mind set on heading to the Himalayan Mountains, only to be inexplicably pursued midway by this bizarre madman. Did he really think Max was good-tempered?

He originally couldn't be bothered to deal with him, but outrageously, Ghost Rider pursued him relentlessly, all the way from the mainland out to the ocean.

On the surface of the sea, a conspicuous trail of fire still burned. Sometimes it was the color of a normal flame, while at other times it strangely turned green, like the Ghost Fire of Hell.

“Accept your Judgment!” Ghost Rider looked up at the sky and threw his chains. A whistling sound rang out. The chains seemed to come alive, swinging in a wide arc to encircle Max before rapidly tightening around him.

Max snorted coldly, warily eyeing the strange flames on the chains. Out of caution, he transformed into numerous electrical currents, trying to escape.

But as the flames drew near Max's body, they actually incinerated a portion of the electrical currents!

Stirring on their own, the flames suddenly grew more intense, as if more fuel had been added. Max paid the price for it—a small part of his body was burned away.

For flames from Hell, burning a little electricity was not unacceptable.

But Max obviously could not accept it. He roared in anger, his eyes fixed on Ghost Rider. Under his gaze, Ghost Rider's Bioelectric Field was incredibly dazzling. That Electric Field, blazing like a fire that would never be extinguished, shone with astonishing brilliance in the world of electricity.

Inside Ghost Rider's body, there were two Electric Fields. One was the Electric Field of an Ordinary Human, completely suppressed, cowering and trembling in a corner of his body.

The other was the burning Bioelectric Field that clearly did not belong to a Human. In the world composed of countless electrical currents, this flame-like thing was truly astonishing.

Max had a sharp eye. After a careful observation, he had a basic grasp of the situation with the guy before him.

“What is this? A body invaded by an evil creature? Or is he controlled by a being that manipulates Souls? Another pitiful person.” Max glanced at the flames on his opponent with some apprehension, a trace of pity showing in his eyes.

In Max's eyes, Ghost Rider's original self was just a Wretch who had lost his own identity, living in a daze, having become the Slave of some powerful creature.

Swoosh!

The flames suddenly flared, and the endlessly extending chains swirled around him, layer upon layer, threatening to envelop and seal Max within their grasp.

Those chains were incredible. Not only did they burn with an unquenchable fire, but they could also extend infinitely, with no end in sight.

Max watched with cold eyes before brazenly lunging toward Ghost Rider. The blue Electro and the fiery Ghost Rider were like two Beasts, about to collide ferociously.

As the distance between them closed rapidly, the cold sneer on Max's lips became more pronounced, and the chill in his eyes grew even colder.

Ghost Rider laughed too. His skull-like head looked at Max, its mouth, which only had two rows of teeth, suddenly splitting open in the treacherous grin of a successful schemer.

“You have sinned! Look into my eyes and accept your Judgment!” Ghost Rider opened his mouth and roared, though Heaven knows how he managed it without vocal cords.

His eyes suddenly erupted with powerful Mystic Energy. Within the black sockets, vengeful spirits seemed to stir, greedily watching the approaching Max.

Max subconsciously looked into Ghost Rider's eyes.

Ghost Rider's smile became even more ferocious. The moment Max looked up, the outcome was decided. Everyone has sins in their hearts, and as long as they were targeted by his Penance Stare, no one could ever escape.

The Penance Stare acts directly on the Spirit and Soul, exposing all the ugliness within a person's heart, before executing them after his Judgment.

To be targeted by the Penance Stare is certain death!

Judging the sins of the world is his, Ghost Rider's, duty! He delivers cruel verdicts to villains who have reached a certain level, based on the sins committed by humans.

No probation, no life sentences—only death is the final destination for the wicked.

From Max, emanated the painful wails of countless tormented souls. Ghost Rider had smelled the stench of sin from a great distance, and especially when he saw Max, he got goosebumps from excitement—don't ask how a skeleton gets goosebumps, it just happened.

The Penance Stare turned into a Mental Vortex, frantically tearing at Max's Soul and unleashing a cruel verdict and judgment upon all his past experiences.

The mental pressure grew greater and greater. Max clearly felt an endless, airtight vortex surrounding him, leaving him unable to breathe. The gaze, like a sharp sword, almost suffocated him. That condescending stare, like that of a Deity, was enough to make anyone with a weak mind collapse.

Max cried out in alarm!

Ghost Rider laughed maniacally!!

And then!!!

Max... was completely fine!!!!

Ghost Rider was stunned. Ghost Rider froze in place as he stared at Max in disbelief. In his limited and fragmented memories, throughout the long ages, no one had ever taken the judgment head-on and been completely fine.

Looking at Max's blank expression, countless burning 'MMP's floated above Ghost Rider's head.

“How is this possible!!! You... you pitiful, damn guy! The Power Grid Blueprints that didn't get approved? Not perfectly completing Tony's work? These are the things you feel guilty and sinful about?! You've killed so many people, don't you feel any sins for that?!?!”

Ghost Rider was about to go insane. The great Spirit of Vengeance, the one whose might shook the Multiverse, had been thwarted for the first time. It was also the first time he had met someone who treated killing as nothing.

Electro, Max, treated killing as a... job that had to be done? There was no right or wrong to it; because he had received a mission to kill, he had to do his best to complete it. The more he killed, the more of a sense of accomplishment he felt...

Ghost Rider wanted to curse out loud now.

“You pitiful bastard...” He was at a loss.
