Chapter 165: Level Six, Level Seven, Level Eight
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
In truth, Tony had his own system for assessing the power levels in this universe.
From the perspective of Mutants, the Level Three Wolverine and Sabretooth, the Level Four Professor X and Magneto, and the Level 5 Jean Grey was the most widely accepted classification at present. Perhaps Jean Grey's true level was well-concealed due to Professor X's efforts, but the Level 3 or 4 classification had already become the common standard for evaluation on Earth.
Many organizations on Earth used this power evaluation system to determine their attitude toward certain Metahumans.
But beyond Earth, a system that maxed out at Level 5 was undoubtedly incapable of judging the numerous High-Level life forms in the Multiverse.
Tony had his own understanding. Although it was vague and crude, it could at least serve as a reference for the future.
Level 5 and Level Six were uniformly referred to by Tony as "Demigod," "Quasi-Cosmic Level," and "Quasi-Skyfather Level." Level 5 and Level Six were more like two stages of the Quasi-Cosmic Level, with no clear dividing line.
Level Seven, then, was the Single Universe Level. A Level Seven being could do as they pleased in a complete, mature Universe, and very few individuals could harm someone at this level. Odin and the Sorcerer Supreme were both Level Seven.
Level Eight was the Multiverse Level. This tier was terrifying. They were nearly impossible to kill and could be considered invincible within the Speed Force Wall. Destroying a universe was a basic feat for a being of this tier. For example, Doctor Manhattan, who left Earth last century for various reasons, was the only Level Eight being ever born on Earth.
He just didn't know if Doctor Manhattan's birth was intentionally orchestrated or a pure coincidence.
After all, the Single Universe Level was one thing, but the Multiverse Level was simply too frightening. The masterminds behind the scenes wouldn't be foolish enough to provide Earth with a Combat Power so absurdly strong.
At the same time, Tony's evaluation system was crude and simple, full of variables.
For instance, Tony remembered from the comics that when Thanos obtained the six Infinity Stones and the Infinity Gauntlet, he was at the Level Eight Multiverse Level. Yet, this immensely powerful Thanos was successfully ambushed by a Level Three Wolverine. Not only was one of his arms chopped off, but the Infinity Gauntlet and all the Infinity Stones were snatched away by Wolverine.
Could you say that Wolverine, who took down Thanos, was also Level Eight?
There were far too many examples like this. Instances of ridiculously strong individuals being taken down by weaklings were a dime a dozen, though it was almost always because those powerhouses had a moment of sheer stupidity and were ruthlessly tricked.
In the Multiverse, there were too many Overpowered Individuals with their own cheats, with Earth having the most. It was a place teeming with talent. Aside from the Multiverse Level being intentionally restricted by many schemers, those below that level were more than plentiful, like carp crossing a river.
Even a Level Three Wolverine, with his two Beta Adamantium claws, could take down a Level Eight Thanos with a sneak attack.
But in the end, this classification was just a very rough division, full of variables and uncertainties.
"Theoretically, Unicron and Primus should be at least Level Eight..."
Tony pulled open the curtains, squinting against the blinding sunlight. Outside the window, the leaves were a tender green. The lawn had been repeatedly tended to by the Old Bartender, and the damage Tony had caused was no longer visible.
From time to time, various birds could be seen flitting through the air, chirping away as they perched on branches to preen their feathers.
The road ahead was long and unfathomably deep. Coupled with the terrifying sense of an impending crisis, Tony's stress multiplied.
"I have to master the Adamantium Alloy Technology as quickly as possible. At the very least, I need to fuse Secondary Adamantium with Dionysium. I just don't know if it will cause the new metal's hardness and toughness to decrease."
Tony shook his head, turned, and walked into the basement to begin his research.
...
In this developed economic market, a vast number of books were created by countless authors and pushed to the market every moment. Because the market was large, people with some financial means were happy to buy a book or two to read in their spare time.
A new book was published and quickly captured people's attention.
The book was titled *The Mechanist: God's Descent to the Mortal Realm*.
The story was based on the Wakanda incident. The author, David, was a moderately famous writer who had interviewed a large number of soldiers and officers who survived the Wakanda battlefield, and he had also gone to great lengths to visit the families of many of the victims.
In just half a month, this book, *God's Descent*, was written and achieved tremendous market success.
David's story primarily began from the day Tony's powers awakened. He gathered some information about Tony's past from the internet and depicted a series of events involving Tony, attracting many people to read it.
When Tony found out about this, he was somewhat surprised and astonished.
"*God's Descent*? This book was written already? And it's based on me? Also, this David person..." Tony found it a bit amusing, then shook his head. He was playing with the power of the Undead Spirit. Perhaps he would take an interest in David in the future, but definitely not now. He had other things to do.
Tony personally received Aunt May and Peter Parker.
Dressed in a formal suit, Crane was well-suited for the job of a receptionist. His gentle face could easily reduce a visitor's anxiety.
Aunt May had removed the somewhat old-fashioned and outdated headscarf from her head, revealing hair that was mostly gray. Her wrinkled face was filled with an unconcealable nervousness.
Peter was even more nervous, his face taut.
Resurrecting Uncle Ben was a major event, something that couldn't be hidden from Aunt May.
Over the phone, Peter had already reached an agreement with Tony. This visit was for Tony to fulfill his promise.
"To resurrect Ben, I must have your blood." Tony looked at the two uneasy people and spun a tale. "Resurrection is a very troublesome matter. I need the people Ben cared about most before he died. A little of both of your blood would be the most suitable catalyst."
As Crane listened, his entire face was twitching faintly.
Dionysium Technology... since when did resurrecting the dead require the blood of others?
This Tony fellow was scamming people again.
Thinking this, Crane's gaze towards Peter and Aunt May became somewhat pitying.
"How much blood do you want?" Peter asked, a bit wary.
"Not much, just a little bit. As long as there's blood, the amount doesn't matter. Then, I need to get Ben's body—don't tell me you cremated him. If you did, there's nothing I can do," Tony replied. "It will take about a week, and then I'll give you a whole and complete Ben."
"Thank you, sir, thank you so much..." Aunt May stood up, speaking incoherently, her eyes red and welling with tears.
After Ben died, she felt as if her world had collapsed. Fortunately, Peter was there, giving her the motivation to go on. Suddenly, Tony was telling her he could resurrect Ben.
Aunt May knew a little about Tony. He was a renowned Mutant, an object of ridicule for some, but also a hero in the eyes of many.
There were many who cursed Tony, but even more who loved him.
"There's no need for that. This is something our Stark Industries should do. Peter is a special talent we have our eyes on, and we're willing to do some things for him. However, you must promise to keep this a secret. After all, resurrecting the dead is too big of a deal."
