Chapter 144: Tony's Big Trap: Attacking Wakanda

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

"The Kingdom of Wakanda, located in northeastern Africa, is isolated from the world. Many people haven't even heard of this country, but in reality, it possesses vast quantities of Vibranium, with a mine extending thousands of meters deep underground," Tony said slowly.

Ross tapped the table, his interest piqued. "How did you get this information?"

"General, you should know I have a high demand for special metals, to build Transformers to protect myself. I befriended an African merchant and bought the information from him."

"Where is that person now?"

Tony made a gesture and said, "To prevent the information from leaking, I've already dealt with him."

General Ross's eyes narrowed slightly as he stared intently at Tony, his gaze profound, carrying an unspoken meaning and a great deal of scrutiny.

Perhaps it was true, perhaps it was false, but judging by Tony's demeanor, the information was more likely to be authentic. After all, the Military would certainly send people to verify such a matter, and lying wouldn't benefit Tony.

The Military wouldn't be so foolish as to believe everything they heard.

"In return, I want to first obtain the complete original and Secondary Adamantium Alloy technology," Tony demanded, making an exorbitant request.

Ross flatly refused. "Impossible. I need to send people to verify the situation first, especially that Vibranium mine."

"If it truly exists, I need to obtain the complete technology beforehand. As for a ton of Vibranium, you can deliver it to me after the war is won," Tony insisted.

"Agreed, provided the Vibranium mine you mentioned has reserves exceeding ten tons," Ross said expressionlessly. He was an old fox; anyone trying to pull a fast one would really have to think twice.

"Furthermore, the Military requires your Super-Soldier technology as an exchange," Ross said, tapping the table, a probing tone in his voice.

Tony instinctively frowned, weighing the pros and cons in his mind. Sure enough, scheming with someone like Ross was undoubtedly like asking a tiger for its skin. Tony even suspected that after the Military obtained the Vibranium mine, they would not hesitate to eliminate him with a nuclear bomb.

The current Tony couldn't withstand the explosion of a nuclear bomb.

"Half. I will hand over half of the technology, and after the matter is concluded, I will hand over the other half. Similarly, I require half of the Secondary Adamantium Alloy technology as assurance," Tony said with difficulty after a long moment of deliberation, feigning reluctance.

Ross laughed heartily. "Deal, Tony. If the Vibranium mine truly exists, I will immediately promote you to Colonel Rank."

Tony immediately expressed his loyalty to the Military. Ross, for his part, smiled throughout, but how much he believed was up to individual interpretation. As for defeat, Ross hadn't considered it at all. Africa? What kind of godforsaken place was that? With barely any military power, any modern unit could easily wipe out an African nation.

As for that unheard-of Wakanda, occupying that country would be ridiculously easy.

Ross offered a word of praise, then stood up and hurried away, immediately requesting an audience with the President.

Tony sat quietly in his chair, his expression mild as he watched the screen. Soldiers were constantly being killed by the Rage Serum, bodies strewn everywhere. As Tony watched the screen, his mind was on other matters.

Regarding handing over half of the Dionesium technology, he understood Ross's intentions. Ross wanted to use national power to reverse-engineer the technology. Even if Tony handed over all of it, let alone just half, the Military wouldn't be able to do a damn thing. The core of the Dionesium technology wasn't the technology itself, but the mysterious Spring of Resurrection. As long as the Court of Owls wasn't exposed, the Military, no matter how desperately they tried, would be helpless.

Tony's suggestion to attack Wakanda was even more malicious. This was an enormous trap. The moment Ross was tempted, there was no turning back, because Wakanda was real, and the Vibranium mine was real. No matter how powerful an army the Military brought, they would be utterly clobbered by Wakanda, a nation decades ahead of Earth's technology.

Especially Black Panther's sister, whose intellect was simply off the charts. If she truly wanted to cause trouble, she could develop super-weapons several eras beyond the Military in a matter of minutes.

Don't forget, the current Wakanda possesses means to communicate globally, and all of their technology is derived from Vibranium. How extravagant!

This operation was destined to end in a disastrous defeat for the Military, and Ross's prestige would be completely shaken. The defeat of a large army would greatly shock the entire US, and public opinion would force Ross out of office. Especially with a malicious individual like Tony lurking by his side.

When Ross was defeated in Wakanda, that would be Tony's moment to assassinate him. Killing Ross by the most reasonable means would also avoid inciting the Military's wrath and having them directly launch several nuclear bombs.

Before gaining the ability to resist nuclear bombs, Tony still needed to keep a low profile. To kill a high-ranking official, he had to employ certain methods.

Everything revolved around two objectives: obtaining the Adamantium Alloy technology and killing Ross.

The former would allow Tony to begin research into Type II metal, while the latter would enable Tony to eliminate a bitterly hated archenemy.

Moreover, Tony also had his own plans for Wakanda.

"According to the normal timeline, Wakanda would only cautiously open up to the outside world after Black Panther takes power... I can't wait that long. By then, who knows how many waves of alien foes would have arrived," Tony thought to himself. He didn't have that much time.

Black Panther opening up Wakanda was already due to the increasing number of powerful enemies making Earth struggle to cope. Global integration was the general trend; without it, resisting super-strong enemies would become increasingly difficult.

By then, Earth would be completely exposed to the gaze of the universe.

Since Tony didn't have much time, he could only accomplish it through his own methods: seizing the Vibranium mine. With the Vibranium mine as a backing, Tony's journey to rebuild Cybertron would be smoother.

Maliciously instigating the Military to attack Wakanda was just an insignificant beginning. Tony would continue to develop discreetly, and once he reached Level Four, he would bare his fangs at Wakanda.

At that time, Tony would lead an endless army of Transformers to besiege Wakanda. If one hundred thousand wasn't enough, then a million; if a million wasn't enough, then ten million. If ten million wasn't enough, he would pour all his wealth into producing mechs and then animate them, launching relentless attacks on Wakanda.

Even if it meant overwhelming them with sheer numbers, he would submerge Wakanda. Tony intended to seize all the Vibranium; not a single piece would be left behind.

His Cybertron was a metal planet, devoid of soil and other minerals. Cybertron would be a planet entirely made of metal, and he could devour any amount of Vibranium.

Tony even wanted to uproot the entire Vibranium mine and take it with him.
