Chapter 125

Chapter 124: New Home

Tony glanced indifferently at the soldiers, then dragged the Lizard that was beneath him, ready to leave, with no intention of handing him over. Unfortunately, the Lizard was accidentally strangled to death by Tony.

"Dead? How could he be so fragile..." Tony scoffed, turning to get into his car and head to the area in Queens near Manhattan, where Amanda had already acquired a large plot of land for fifty million dollars.

"What should we do? Are we still supposed to arrest him?" The soldiers exchanged bewildered glances, standing frozen in place.

The Sergeant cleared his throat, barking orders to urge them to continue patrolling, as if everything that had just happened had nothing to do with them.

...

In the city of New York, it was actually difficult to distinguish between urban and suburban areas, yet there were still many two or three-story residential houses with small backyards.

Amanda's task was to acquire a large plot of land from these residents, then contact a construction team to demolish all the existing houses and ultimately build a large house.

Yes, Tony had decided to move.

His previous house was too small, with no extra space for living, making everything inconvenient.

The trip to Gotham City had brought Tony many benefits, especially obtaining the Dionesium Factor Technology and a truckload of Spring of Resurrection water. He needed a relatively vast plot of land to carry out his plans, and also to find residences for his increasing number of subordinates.

Moving was imperative; he wasn't short on money anyway.

Of course, the destination for the move was still New York. Dangerous as the city was, its dense population had given rise to a large number of Superheroes wandering New York City, and the concentrated population would also make factions like the Military hesitant, making it the most ideal place to reside.

The phone rang; Amanda was calling.

"Everything is complete. I've negotiated with one hundred thirty-seven households and spoken with a few small real estate companies; all that's left are the final procedures," Amanda's voice was clear and cool.

"That fast? What did you tell them?" Tony was a little surprised.

"I said that Stark Industries and Wayne Enterprises decided to launch a weapons project and wished to purchase their homes and land. They could stay, but our research would occasionally result in explosions, so if they weren't afraid to die, they could remain," Amanda replied candidly.

"...Impressive." Tony hung up the phone. This Court of Owls assassin truly had some skills, not just fighting and killing.

With a stable base, he could better conduct his series of experiments to build new bodies for the Transformers.

"Anderson is staying in Gotham City as Tony's eyes and ears. Crane has successfully made contact with people from Oscorp, discussing cooperation under my banner. Barring any surprises, Oscorp won't immediately refuse," Tony mused.

The outbreak of the Lizard incident was a rare opportunity. Even if others saw Tony as someone who would immediately pounce on any advantage, in reality, contacting Oscorp was secondary to cooperation. What was important was that Tony had his eye on someone within Oscorp.

Max Dillon was someone Tony valued highly, but currently, he was an insignificant minor character with a very low status.

Tony drove, occasionally running over fearless Lizards and sometimes crushing a few corpses as he headed straight for his new house. His old house was locked up; it was a place full of memories, and he would return to visit it periodically.

When he stopped in front of a larger three-story building, Amanda was standing there waiting for him.

At this moment, Amanda was dressed in a business suit, wearing black-rimmed glasses, with her hands clasped in front of her. Her expression was serious, and her ample chest seemed almost ready to burst through her shirt buttons, drawing countless glances.

Men occasionally approached to flirt, but all were ignored. It wasn't until Tony got out of the car that her expression softened slightly, and she hurried forward to greet him.

Someone nearby, unwilling to give up, immediately gaped, muttering in confusion, "What's going on? She ignores me when I drive a luxury car, but she's so eager for this kid driving a large truck?! Have beautiful women's tastes changed now?"

Amanda lightly touched her lips. "This household has already moved out. I just called a furniture company to move in some essential furniture, so you can move in today."

"Holy crap? Is this beauty so impatient, so eager to live with the guy driving a large truck?"

The man started to doubt life itself, showing an expression of envy, jealousy, and hatred. When Tony looked at him, he even gave a thumbs-up in admiration. He thought to himself that next time, he could try driving a cargo truck... no, a heavy-duty truck when going out.

"Contact the relevant personnel at Stark Industries and Wayne Enterprises as soon as possible to have them deliver a batch of advanced equipment; I have a use for it. Additionally, quickly handle that truckload of Spring of Resurrection water; once the equipment and materials arrive, I'll put it to use immediately."

Tony pushed the door open and entered, a satisfied expression on his face. The house appeared to have been kept very clean previously; there were no strange scribbles or stains on the walls.

He picked up the hot tea that had already been prepared on the table, took a satisfying sip, and comfortably let out a breath.

The Technology given to him by the Court of Owls was very comprehensive; they wouldn't dare hand over incomplete Technology, otherwise, once Tony discovered it, he would certainly come knocking again, making it not worth the trouble. With perfected Technology and the crucial Spring of Resurrection, Tony planned to quickly create a complete product to examine.

Amanda stood quietly by his side, her proud chest held high.

"Has Crane contacted you yet?" Tony asked, blowing on the hot tea in his cup.

"No, but Crane has successfully gained entry into Oscorp. Their staff highly values Crane's visit. However, I must warn you that acting rashly now is not a good time; your actions have already caused unrest among many people," Amanda said.

"Ignore them, I have my own plans." Tony chugged his Longjing tea in one go; if a tea connoisseur saw him, they would surely curse him as a brute, like an ox chewing on peonies.

It was normal for Crane to be welcomed by Osborn personnel. The Lizard incident was a huge mess they couldn't possibly shake off. The entire company was in its lowest period ever, and Government Organizations had announced their intervention in Oscorp's daily operations, placing it under 24/7 surveillance.

This was only because Oscorp was a world-class giant in biological research; if it were a small company, it would have been shut down long ago, let alone being placed under surveillance.

Tony slowly set down his teacup, making a soft clink as it touched the table. A playful expression appeared on his lips.

Scarecrow Crane, I wonder if you will do as I've said. If you understand, then you truly understand. But if you don't understand and act on your own...

"Then don't blame me for killing you, a loyalist of the League of Shadows... Max's usefulness to me is far greater than yours!"
