Chapter 457

Chapter 454: Nolan: I Have No weaknesses

"The protector of Earth, the most powerful Superhero known, Omni-Man Nolan Grayson. I doubt anyone doesn't know him, right?"

Hearing Xia Shang refer to his Father like that, a clear look of pride and self-satisfaction appeared on Mark's face. To be honest, he dreamed of becoming a great Superhero like his Father.

"Actually, Omni-Man is my Father."

"What? You're Omni-Man's son?" Xia Shang exclaimed in surprise.

Displaying his god-tier Acting Skill at this moment, he then shook his head repeatedly, "Impossible, you must be joking. How could Omni-Man's son work at my Burger shop? His son should be a Rich Second Generation."

"Actually, his son is a pauper who doesn't even have money to buy comic books..." Mark shrugged. His Father's educational philosophy had always been to make him self-reliant, which was why he worked odd jobs at the Burger shop to earn money to buy the comic books he liked.

"It's truly unbelievable. My Employee is actually Omni-Man's son. This is just like a plot from a comic book."

Xia Shang exclaimed.

"About this matter, I hope you can keep it a secret for me. I don't want too many people to know." Mark walked into a Villa area, then pointed to one of the houses and said, "Mr. Jervis, that's my Home."

"Don't worry, I'll definitely keep it a secret. Later, can I ask your Father for an autograph?"

Xia Shang followed Mark to a Villa. The Villa had two floors, with a Lawn around it, and a white car parked next to the garage.

"You'll have to ask him yourself, but my Father probably won't refuse."

Mark took the key out of his pocket, opened the main door, and shouted inside the house, "Mom, I'm Home."

"Welcome Home, my dearest son. I made roast chicken..." Mark's Mother was a woman with an Asian face. She wore a green shirt and was holding a plate of beautifully presented roast chicken.

When she saw Xia Shang following behind Mark, she couldn't help but ask curiously, "Who is this?"

Given Omni-Man's identity, Mark never brought friends Home. The reason was simple: once people knew he was Omni-Man's son, his peaceful life would likely vanish instantly.

So she was very curious about the person behind Mark.

"Hello, I'm Mr. Jervis, the Store Manager of the Burger Supermarket. Mark works for me. I came over this time just to see what kind of family could raise such an excellent employee."

No Mother dislikes others praising her child, and Mark's mother, Debbie, was naturally no exception.

Debbie seemed very enthusiastic and immediately invited Xia Shang to sit down.

"So it's Mr. Jervis. Thank you for taking care of Mark. If he does anything improper at work, you should definitely point it out."

"Mark is quite outstanding, hardworking and diligent. I just found out he's Omni-Man's son. Truly a tiger Father has no dog sons," Xia Shang said with a smile, sitting at the dining table.

After hearing this, Debbie first looked at Mark in surprise, as if saying, "Why did you reveal your dad's identity?"

Mark shrugged a few times, seemingly replying, "I couldn't hide it anymore, that's why I said it."

"Mr. Jervis promised to keep it a secret for me," Mark said.

"Our family is a bit special, I hope you can understand." Debbie put down the roast chicken, then turned around and took out a plate of sausages. "I just heated up some authentic Germany fried sausages. Please don't be shy, try them and see how they taste?"

"Thank you, just by looking at these sausages, I know they must taste great."

Xia Shang seemed a bit nervous, appearing somewhat restrained.

However, Debbie could understand. After all, having dinner with Omni-Man's family would make most people a little nervous.

"Just a moment, my husband should be here any minute, barring any accident." Debbie placed the cutlery in front of Xia Shang, then sat down opposite Mark.

Just then, a figure suddenly arrived at the dining table. He first closed his eyes, letting Debbie kiss him, then opened his eyes and said, "Sorry, something came up temporarily, I'm late coming back." Suddenly, he saw Xia Shang, holding a knife and fork, sitting at his family's dining table.

The smile on his face instantly vanished, replaced by an icy gloom.

Omni-Man stared intently at Xia Shang. In his eyes, there seemed to be an endless anger surging. He never expected that Xia Shang, who was hit by a meteorite, would actually appear in his Home.

This was a provocation! A blatant provocation!

Facing Omni-Man's murderous gaze, Xia Shang calmly cut a piece of sausage and put it in his mouth.

Debbie, noticing Omni-Man's unusual state at the moment, quickly explained, "This is Mr. Jervis, Mark works for him."

"So your name is Mr. Jervis."

Omni-Man suppressed his inner anger, pulled out a chair, and sat down.

"Do you two know each other?" Debbie, sensing the atmosphere was off, asked softly.

"How could that be? I just thought of something unpleasant, so I'm in a bad mood. Sorry, I hope I haven't affected you."

Omni-Man forced a smile, picked up the wine glass beside him, and drained the wine.

Mark didn't pay much attention after hearing his Father's explanation, but Debbie sensed that Omni-Man seemed to be hiding something. However, with an outsider present, she couldn't press him for answers.

"Begin Analyze."

After swallowing the food in his mouth, Xia Shang brought up his Panel and began to Analyze Omni-Man's ability.

The reason he hadn't Analyzed before was lack of time. For a powerhouse like Omni-Man, the time consumed by Analyze would be at least half an hour.

However, to Xia Shang's surprise, Omni-Man stood up after only a few bites and walked behind him.

"I want to discuss Mark's job with you. Please step outside with me."

This guy really had no patience at all. Could it be that he dared to directly attack him even with his family present?

Xia Shang glanced at the Analyze Progress bar. It wasn't even one-tenth complete.

Following Omni-Man, they went out to the Lawn outside the Villa.

Suddenly!

Omni-Man Nolan suddenly turned around and reached out to grab Xia Shang's neck, but Xia Shang, who had anticipated this, used Teleportation to dodge.

Seeing his attack miss, Omni-Man said in a deep voice, "I don't care what you're trying to do, but you'd better stay away from my family. Otherwise, I'll make you regret it."

"Don't misunderstand, I just wanted to have a simple meal with you," Xia Shang said with a smile.

"Your ability is indeed a bit troublesome, but that's not reason for you to be arrogant in front of me."

Omni-Man walked up to Xia Shang. The distance between them was only a fist's width. He looked into Xia Shang's eyes and gave a warning, "Don't think you can threaten me using my family. I have no weakness. If you don't believe me, you can try."

Hearing this, Xia Shang's smile faded, and he frowned slightly.

He could feel that what the other party said was true. It was indeed strange; Omni-Man cared about his family, but it seemed he didn't care *that* much.

As if his family were just pets he kept.
