Chapter 858 Start the Team Fight

Mister Tornado stood roughly two meters tall, and with the Energy Conduit on his body, plus his Armor, the Robot was estimated to weigh no less than a small Tank.

Yet, despite lacking treads, tires, or other moving Components, Mister Tornado possessed considerable movement Speed, all thanks to his Air Manipulation.

Astonishing Wind Power buoyed his heavy Body, and in the blink of an eye, he was before Robin. Just as the giant Mechanical Arm was about to seize Robin’s Head, the latter suddenly dissolved into an Afterimage.

It was Kid Flash. He’d arrived in the nick of time, pulling Robin from the Original Place just as he was about to be attacked, appearing a hundred meters away in a mere second.

Mister Tornado wasn’t bothered. Though his primary Goal had slipped away, the Young Justice League was clustered together. Losing one target simply meant he had other Enemies to Attack.

The Robot’s Processor speed was clearly superhuman. The instant Robin vanished, Mister Tornado’s Hand shifted course, aiming for Superboy to his right. Superboy lacked Kid Flash’s Reaction Speed and was forced to brace for the impact.

Superboy barely managed to cross his Arms when Mister Tornado’s iron fist slammed into his Body. A jolt of intense pain shot through Superboy as he was sent flying backwards. Now, only Stargirl remained in the Original Spot.

Stargirl didn't panic at her Teammate's setback. Having weathered Typhoon before, she now possessed a Warrior's Mentality. Combined with Black Canary's regular training, she reacted instantly and chose to Attack.

Twirling the Star Staff, Stargirl’s Gaze sharpened as she thrust the tip, glowing with Specks of Light, towards Mister Tornado. Instead of retreating, he erected a Wind Wall.

The powerful Wind Power tried to deflect Stargirl’s Attack Route, but the even more potent Cosmic Energy sliced through the invisible Wind Wall, heading straight for Mister Tornado.

He was taken aback. He hadn't expected anyone to breach his Wind Wall so easily. Reluctantly, he shifted to using his Arm for Defense.

Compared to the Body, which housed critical Components, the Arm – primarily for Attack and Maneuver – was less vital. Uncertain of his opponent's Power, sacrificing the less crucial part was the logical first step.

"Bang!"

The instant the Star Staff struck its Goal, a surge of powerful Energy erupted, and Mister Tornado was thrown back.

This wasn't because Stargirl's Energy could directly send a multi-ton Robot flying. Instead, he’d used his Air Manipulation Ability to amplify the impact and create distance.

Mid-air, Mister Tornado quickly assessed the Damage Situation. The Answer was better than anticipated. Only the Armor on his Right Hand was slightly damaged; internally, there was no significant Damage.

However, it was a wake-up call. The enemy possessed Abilities to close the Distance easily.

‘That’s an unexpected bonus.’ Robin stroked his Chin. This hadn’t been part of his Original Plan.

But the Plan was set. Robin couldn't deviate from his designed strategy due to this minor change. Instead, he could use this Variable as a separate thread to contain the Enemy.

‘Wonder Girl, you’ll assist Stargirl, using the Star Staff to maintain constant Threat on the Enemy. Everyone else, Missions remain unchanged. Commence combat!’

At Robin’s command, Artemis, positioned at High Altitude, loosed the first Arrow.

The sound of the Arrow slicing through the Air was insignificant against the howling Gale, but Mister Tornado still detected the Sneak Attack from the Airflow shift.

Hovering in the Air, Mister Tornado retaliated with a whirlwind. He doubted everyone possessed abilities to counter him; otherwise, these Children would have swarmed him already.

Indeed, while Artemis’s Arrow was a specialized model crafted by Green Arrow for Gale conditions, it proved inadequate against a Tornado that defied Nature itself.

The once-straight Arrow spun wildly in the Air, about to fall, when Wonder Girl, still airborne, caught it, as if this unremarkable Arrow held great importance.

‘Hmm?’ Mister Tornado’s Camera registered this. After a brief Processor cycle, he concluded that the seemingly ordinary Arrow likely possessed a decisive Ability.

At this Time, only one possibility came to mind: EMP. It was the only effective special Attack against Robots.

Otherwise, they wouldn't expose such a significant Weakness in Battle just to catch an Arrow. But he couldn't rule out a Trap. Best to allocate some processing power to monitor this.

Having decided, Mister Tornado abandoned Melee Combat. He maximized his Abilities, and Gale after Gale erupted within the Power Station.

The howling Gale not only hampered everyone's Actions but also obscured their Field of Vision. In this Situation, Robin and Artemis, could hardly contribute.

Fortunately, Robin had anticipated this. Their Missions were already complete.

Wonder Girl tossed the Arrow in her Hand towards the Ground. Superboy caught it, and together, one in High Altitude, one on the Ground, they launched a Charge.

Mister Tornado’s Processor ran at full capacity. His initial calculations placed Wonder Girl in the Air as slightly stronger than Superboy on the Ground, making the Sky a greater Threat than the Ground.

However, this assessment was disrupted by the appearance of the Arrow. Unsure if it was Bait, he had to reassess the Threat level of both.

Unable to make a Judgment quickly, he opted to treat them as equal. Mister Tornado raised both Arms simultaneously, launching two Tornadoes from his Hands.

One targeted the Sky, the other the Ground, aiming to halt both their advances.

But as Superboy and Wonder Girl Attacked, the others weren't idle. Stargirl unleashed a Barrier from her Star Staff, using it to Charge towards Mister Tornado.

As the most obvious Threat, Mister Tornado hadn't forgotten her. Since Tornadoes could be cleaved, he'd use something else to stop her.

Under Mister Tornado's Maneuver, chunks of Rubble mixed with Debris were swept up by a Tornado and hurled at Stargirl.

Stargirl, helpless to evade, ceased her advance and amplified the Star Staff's output, strengthening the Barrier to withstand the barrage. While the Debris couldn't penetrate the Cosmic Energy Barrier, it effectively hindered her Footsteps.
