Chapter 853 Bio-Flyer
The Joker, trailing behind Sportsmaster, still wore that ever-present grin. He could tell that ‘Sandwich’ Sir and his partners weren't entirely at ease with him, but they were forced to depend on him.
This was all because he held too much weight in Batman's mind, a kind of indirect appreciation, perhaps. The Joker liked sponsors with taste.
However, he didn't like the way the sponsors invited him, nor the remuneration they paid him.
The Joker smirked, glancing at the Metal Bat behind Sportsmaster's back, thoughts swirling in his mind.
…
Justice Mountain welcomed two new residents on top of the original three.
The first was Troy, the new member who joined yesterday. Having just been brought out of Paradise Island by Diana, she naturally didn't have a new place to live and could only stay at Justice Mountain.
The second person wasn't Artemis, who was also a new Member and had her own place, but Aqualad, Jackson, who had just recovered from his injuries. After all, he was an Atlantean and didn't have a place to live on Land in the first place.
Justice Mountain was becoming more and more lively.
Because Jackson was originally a Member of the Young Justice League but missed yesterday's New Member party, the members of the Young Justice League unanimously decided that they should make up for it.
Jackson politely declined with a smile, not wanting everyone to make a fuss over him alone. Then Megan came up with a good Idea.
"How about we all go for a drive?" Megan put her hands together, looking at everyone with anticipation.
"A drive?" Wally scratched his Head. "But is there a car that can fit all of us?"
"It doesn't have to be a car." Dick patted Wally's Shoulder. "An Aircraft is also an option."
Wally slapped Dick's hand away and said grumpily, "What? Are you going to steal Batman's Aircraft? I'll pray to God for you, and wish you success."
Dick shrugged. He was just saying it. Of course, he dared to steal the Bat Warplane, but that had to be under justifiable circumstances. If Batman found out that he stole the Fighter Jet just for a drive…
His legs would definitely be broken.
"No need for so much Trouble!" Megan was as excited as an elementary school student about to go on a field trip. She led everyone to the Hangar in Justice Mountain.
This could be said to be the largest Room in the entire Justice Mountain. It was originally used to park the Justice League's various magical Flying Vehicles. After the Justice League moved to the Watchtower, it was abandoned along with Justice Mountain.
Even after the Young Justice League moved in, it remained the same. After all, there was a Teleporter on the Watchtower, and Heroes rarely used Transportation Tools for long-distance travel anymore.
This place was only cleaned up once when Justice Mountain was reactivated last time, and no one had been here for months since. Wally didn't know what Megan was bringing them here for.
"Hey!" Wally leaned closer to Harby and asked in a low voice.
"Do you know what Megan is going to do? Why did she bring us to this place?"
"Megan didn't say." Conner, with Super Hearing, heard Wally's question and answered for Harby.
"She said she wanted to give everyone a Surprise, and she kept it a secret from us too."
Conner's answer was at a normal volume, so not only the people around him, but even Megan, who was walking in the front, heard it.
"It seems everyone can't wait." Megan turned around with a smile, then stretched out her Arm and pressed the Door button.
As the Gate slowly opened, a wide Room appeared in front of everyone, well, wide and empty.
"Uh." Wally was at a loss for words. He didn't know what to say to express his current Mood.
"Looks like the Airplane is late." Artemis found a Platform for Megan. "So? Can I go back to Practice?"
Before being called here, she had been practicing Archery at the Firing Range, accompanied by Troy. Amazonians also had Achievements in Archery.
Conner took a step back and stopped the two who wanted to leave. Although he didn't know what Megan meant, he was willing to believe that Megan wasn't the kind of person to make baseless accusations.
"Wait a moment." Conner said. "I think Megan will show us the Answer soon."
Artemis glanced at Conner. She was actually just joking, but the Girl ignored the fact that her relationship with Megan wasn't that close, and she might not be able to accept such excessive jokes.
Conner, on the other hand, didn't understand jokes. He really thought Artemis was turning around to leave. Fortunately, Jackson stood up when Things were likely to escalate further.
"There's no need for everyone to be so confrontational." Jackson slightly pushed Conner away with his Hand, avoiding him from invading Artemis's Safety Distance too much.
Superboy, a Clone, didn't know much about the Complex Knowledge of Humans. He didn't understand that invading Human Safety Distance would bring a sense of oppression and Threat to the other party.
Sometimes, it might just be a matter of Distance that triggers a Fists and Feet confrontation.
"Conner, Artemis didn't really want to leave, she was just joking." Jackson finished speaking and looked to the other side. "Artemis, Conner doesn't know much about Human Interaction yet, try not to joke like this in the future."
"Got it, my bad." Artemis apologized first. She was grateful that someone could stand up at this Time, otherwise, she might not be able to get off the Platform, which was not what she wanted to see as she wanted to move towards Justice.
"I was wrong too." Conner was an honest Child, and his Nature was much better than in the Original Work.
"Alright, everyone." Dick also stood up to smooth things over. "Megan still has a Surprise for us, how can you neglect the protagonist for so long? Right, Megan?"
Looking at Dick winking at her, Megan quickly turned her blushing Face green. She quickly flew to the Hangar Deck, and as she moved, a red alien Aircraft appeared in front of everyone.
"Bio-Ship!" Megan spread her Hands. "I came to Earth sitting in her, following Uncle J'onn's Back."
"Wow!" Wally arrived at the Hangar Deck in the blink of an eye. He ran around the Bio-Ship several Laps, afraid of missing any Details.
"This is so cool, I heard that Martian Bio-Ships are like living Creatures, even more powerful than Aircraft equipped with Artificial Intelligence!"
"Not entirely." Megan suppressed her proud Mood. "It can only be said that each has its own merits."
At this Time, the others also arrived at the Hangar Deck. Harby asked, "In that case, why didn't you take it out before?"
Megan scratched her Head awkwardly and said with a smile, "Because I broke her before, so I asked Uncle J'onn to send her for repairs. She was just repaired yesterday."
