Chapter 662: Talking at Cross Purposes
"Looking for someone?"
Yang Le repeated Thor's words in a questioning tone. He was a little puzzled about what kind of person would warrant Asgard sending Thor, the Crown Prince, to find.
Could it be Loki? Could it be that this God of Mischief has caused some trouble again, and because the matter has become too big, Thor has to come out personally to bring him back?
This is quite possible, because due to his identity, Loki cannot become the king of Asgard. It's just that this poor child doesn't know this, which leads Loki to keep working hard for an almost impossible goal.
Odin's original intention was to cultivate a suitable Frost Giant successor, who is Loki, to make him the king of Jotunheim, and then to have him and the next successor of Asgard, who is Thor, form an eternal alliance.
This plan is indeed good from Asgard's perspective alone. The kings of the two nations grow up together from childhood, live together, they know each other well, and rely on long time to form a bond like brothers.
This bond will tightly link these two people, and take this bond as a starting point to bring eternal peace between Jotunheim and Asgard.
But from the perspective of Jotunheim people and Loki, it is different.
In short, Odin's idea was indeed good, but he did not use more action to perfect his idea, which led to Asgard and Jotunheim having no peace at all, and Loki also grew up in a distorted childhood.
It can be said to be a God-level idea, but an Eagle-level execution. Thanks to the effort of Loki and Thor, these two next generations, this bad move did not lead to a complete collapse.
However, that's according to the Main Universe. Judging from the current situation, Thor of Universe 9527 is polite, brave and extraordinary, and doesn't have those bad habits of early Thor. Yang Le really doesn't know how Loki is going to compete with him for the position of heir to Asgard.
"Yes." Thor nodded. "The person I'm looking for is a relative of mine. I don't know where he is, and he is not familiar with your nation, so I want to ask if you have any relevant channels to help?"
Looking for a relative? I really guessed it right. Isn't this just coming out to find Loki?
Yang Le nodded smugly. He thought that based on his understanding, it is impossible to make a mistake in judgment about some familiar heroes. Who else could be Thor's relative who came to Earth besides Loki?
Could it be that Odin, that white-bearded old man, has dementia again? Impossible. According to the setting of the Asgardian Gods, these guys are becoming more and more monstrous. If they want to get dementia, at least it has to be a cosmic tapeworm going to the wrong place, not getting into the stomach but invading the brain instead.
What, Odin, are you also going to have a scene of giving birth to a child from your head, right?
While his brain was filled with wild thoughts, his face remained calm. Yang Le asked with a normal expression, "I do have some connections, but if you want to find someone, you also have to give me some characteristics or something, for example, I need to know whether the person to be found is she or he?"
"I'm not very sure about that either." Thor showed an apologetic expression. "I can't guarantee whether the person I'm looking for is male or female. Although we are relatives, I actually know very little about him or her."
This is not right. Thor and Loki clearly grew up together. How could Thor not know anything about Loki? Could it be that my judgment was wrong?
Yang Le frowned slightly, but he quickly figured it out. Loki, as the God of Mischief, is best at all kinds of wonderful changes, including but not limited to changes in appearance, changes in magic. Changing appearance and gender is as simple as breathing for him.
As for not knowing, Thor initially knew very little about Loki, this younger brother in name. Rather, it should be said that there are very few people in all of Asgard who really understand him.
"Thor, my friend." Yang Le spread out his hands, showing a helpless expression. "You can't give me no information at all, right? In this way, even if I am a God, I can't find the person you are looking for."
Thor became even more embarrassed, because he is indeed a God, and he really can't find the person he is looking for. In his opinion, if Yang Le knew his true identity, these words would be sarcastically mocking him.
However, precisely because he thought Yang Le didn't know, Thor felt even more embarrassed.
"I'm very sorry." Thor apologized decisively and neatly. Asking for help from others but not being able to provide any clues, in his opinion, Yang Le not losing his temper is already a God-like person. If someone spoke to him like this, Thor would think that the other person was playing with him.
However, what Thor didn't know was that the reason why Yang Le wasn't angry was because he knew Thor inside and out, so he didn't feel anything about those outrageous requests.
But it is because of this little bit of information difference that Thor thinks Yang Le is a very kind and gentle person. Of course, if you praise Yang Le like this, he will only say to you that this is simply me, but we all know that it is just thick-skinned shamelessness. (This comment comes from Miss Gwenpool who is reading this work.)
"I can only tell you that the person I'm looking for is a very strong person, he should be at least as strong as me. I don't know if you know anyone like this?"
"Powerful superhuman?" Yang Le touched his chin, pretending to think for a while. "This nation does have many powerful superhumans, I can help you list them all, but we can't guarantee that the person you are looking for is among them."
"This is already a great help to me." Thor showed a smile. "I'm already very satisfied to have some goals. This is much better than me searching blindly on my own."
"Okay then." After Yang Le finished speaking, he ran to the convenience store on the side and bought a sticky note and a pen, and wrote down all the names of the stronger superhumans in the current universe in his brain, and also indicated the locations where they could be found later.
"I really don't know how to thank you." Thor took the sticky note handed over by Yang Le. "In any case, I owe you a big favor."
While Yang Le waved his hand to decline, Thor had already lowered his head to look at the sticky note. He saw the name of the first superhuman marked on the sticky note at first glance.
"Hyperion?" Thor murmured softly. "This name is a bit strange."
After all, the name Hyperion was originally the name of a Titan in Greek Mythology. Perhaps because of fate, Hyperion, as an Eternal Titan, also used it as his name, so it is normal for Thor to have some fluctuations about this name from Mythology.
"This is the name of the strongest superhero on Earth right now. How come you don't know?"
